  1. Yeah, that was one of the options I was thinking. It'd be easier to find i.e. toolsheds. Maybe add something like shopping carts also that are just lying around the town, and could be easily used to pick up bodies.
  2. 586. (Option to bury one person only.) 587. I can't really explain this one quite well..but others who are experiencing it will know what i'm talking about. For example, if you go to the dentist rooms in West Point on the right side..I think it's as if the second story walls block your sight, so you can't really see where you're going. I experience it other places too..I believe it was near the big office building I also experienced it where I just couldn't see where my character was, and where zombies were. I don't know the proper term, field of view? All I know this one is pretty important.. I think it relates to an update done about the walls, but basically sometimes you can't see where you're going at all, or what is there in certain areas cause the walls/roof are blocking the view.
  3. I think you're on to something . I don't want special OP zombies like left 4 dead, but I think it would be cool to have a zombie like you mentioned. Also, it would be cool to have a variety in body types of the zombies like you said a "fat zombie", a zombie with more muscle who would be a bit harder to knock down, etc..It would keep the zombies interesting, and more realistic along with adding more flavor into things without making them into some kind of left 4 dead zombie.
  4. Right now bodies are pretty tedious to clean up. I was playing with hydrocraft, and I got this idea.. I was thinking implementing something like a fork lift, pallet truck, be able to put bodies in cars to make it easier to pile them up.
  5. 579. (Darker nights to be more consistent for the indoors) The light for the new "pitch black nights" mode, and i'm assuming the other modes are inconsistent. In the sense that, even if you have lights on it's still really dark. The darkness outside I love cause it makes flashlights more useful and the general atmosphere is cool, but the darkness has basically made it darker inside even with lights on. I just feel like it's too dark, and inconsistent in that it doesn't make a lot of sense why it's dark inside even with a lot of lights. 580. (Flashlights to light through objects that it should be able to). Flashlights seem to function oddly when something is blocking it's sight. I.E. A counter blocking the flashlight's path will block the rest of the light going through. *edit* Flashlights seem to work through objects now for me. Not sure what was going on, nevermind I guess . *edit* Kinda strange sometimes flash lights work well, sometimes they don't. It's like it doesn't work well at certain angles at times. 581. (Voice Comms should travel through two-way radios).
  6. I do something similar, and I've always thought it was a shame that no one would share the experience in SP.
  7. I was thinking about things to suggest adding to the game, and this was one of the few things I could think of that wasn't suggested before until now. I definitely love the meta-events..along with the random scenarios they added with survivors, and the bleach suicides. It really makes things come alive, and keeps you on your toes reacting to the different situations. The more meta-events, and random scenarios the better..I found in a lot of games it loses its luster the more you play, so the more variety the better it adds to the game in my opinion. The ones we have are still awesome by itself though, but the more the better. Something that will add to gameplay, and realism..in that you will have to constantly react and make decisions.. Off the top of my head, something like a npc being a dimwit on the 2nd floor of the grocery who locked the door playing music loudly not heeding the dangers of the zombies below. Or also, the sound of a car speeding by much like how the helicopter event functions.
  8. i feel the exact same way. I've been playing with the Hydrocraft mod for Zomboid recently, and while I do like it I'd rather have something made by the devs. It added a ton of clutter, and while it does make it harder to find useful things..that's the part I actually like now though. It's much harder, and tenser to find what exactly you're looking for on runs..simulating as if you're looking through drawers, and cabinets. Beyond just having clutter for realism, it would serve as an inconvenience of having to search through everything, and being inexperienced not knowing what will be useful, or not. Plus, like you said eventually the devs could add more creative realistic purpose to seemingly useless items in the future if they wanted.
  9. I like the ideas. Maybe slowly overtime survivors could get desensitized to the food they're eating i.e. rats, cockroaches, mouses, and other unconventional foods negative effects going away.
  10. Yeah exactly. It helps control the rumors and such as you've said, and helps others to be sure of what's really gonna be added. And thank you haha. I saw it on the link and liked it. I've been wanting to change my avatar to a spiffo one of sorts anyways = P HAIL LORD SPIFFO
  11. Ya may be right with the adding more channels. But variety is always nice. = ) But not priority. And yeah, just personal preference. =P I look forward to more interaction with the TV and radio though. I think that will make it more interesting..and now that I think of it. I think just the interaction is what's missing. Good to see it's in development along with other entertainment stuff though. ^__^
  12. Sweeet. Thank you, you've been very helpful. = ) I'm glad to hear other stuff like beds and everything will be revamped to be able to deconstruct and carry.
  13. Yeah more channels would be nice too. I'm startin to enjoy them a bit more, but yeah I just wish they were kinda more flashy and drew me like a moth to a flame ya know? But things are still in development, so they might revamp. But if they don't I think it'd be a cool suggestion = )
  14. Yeah. I was thinking more of an underground kind of panic room/secret room.
  15. I believe that TIS is actually working on animations right now. Most likely they may do something like that.
  16. The ability to find secret rooms in houses. and/or The ability to make secret rooms in houses. I know it wouldn't be common, and I wouldn't really want it to be. But I feel it would make things interesting...like I like the idea of seeing things you normally wouldn't see, but because of the apocalypse you're able to. Like how you can go into grocery store backrooms, movie theater storage, etc. Like just imagine the kind of things people have hidden in their houses. Now, I'm not for the "awkward stuff" like "rape, kidnapping, etc." Just something different like pre-apocalypse, or during-apocalypse kind of secret rooms i.e. Like a panic room, maybe the person is insane and isolates themselves in the room, etc. It could possibly be OP, but it could be balanced because you would still need to protect your house from zombies infesting it. Also, the zombies could attack whatever is hiding your secret room (that you found, or made). And if it's okay for the material to be something more or less indestructible like metal, or zombies don't attack your door; it would make for some interesting scenarios i.e. Hiding in your secret panic room slowing dying from lack of food, or medical aid cause you're unable to go out because of your house is zombie infested, having to decide whether to make a run for it, or not. And players would be able to guessif someone has something like this. There are probably a good decent amount of holes in this, so let me know what you all think constructively. It's definitely not priority, but I feel it's something weird that would be interesting. Just some ideas.
  17. I know that we can pick-up furniture, and such now. Not sure if this is something to be implemented in the future because it's not too high-priority. But I noticed I'm not able to pick up 2-tile or more objects. If it's a matter of weight like with couches, the player could have to use something like a dolly (the platform on wheels to carry heavy things) to pick it up, or something similar. I feel that it'd add to how human beings like to make their environment personal, and like home. And it would just help with sanity by having nice things. And I just want my dead neighbor Zed's sweet black couch before I reach my inevitable death = 3.
  18. Hi I know that Project Zomboid is in pre-alpha, or alpha? (Not sure of the specific term let me know please ._. ) I digress, I know that everything is still in the works. And TV's were recently added. I feel that TV's should have some kind of audio to them. Could be just random noises, or even people saying the words. Whatever, goes along with the spirit of Zomboid. I also feel that some visuals would be nice, or even just a more colorful static image. And, I think the TV should ease boredom. I.e. from an interaction, or a certain aura/moodlet the TV gives off when in the same room. I wasn't sure if those things were going to be added to the TV, but just some ideas. = ) I was excited about TV's, but i'm just not really feeling them now that they're out. I'm not very drawn to them. I know it's kind of small details, but I feel the little nuances add to an overall nice feel of immersion to the game. And that makes it worth adding. Also, it doesn't feel too much like "Sims" micromanaging if there's an interaction to watch the TV. That should be all. Let me know what you all think. Cheers.
  19. Ah ok so it's more of a "no" on sims-like micromanaging personal hygiene? Ah ok cool , yeah as long as they're positive effects, but no "negative effects" that'd be good. Only thing i'd say that gives a negative effect is not washing your clothes or something when you get infected blood on yourself. That should keep with immersion, and at the same time dodge the things that take away from Project Zomboid's main game.
  20. Yeah, this sounds like a pretty good idea, and seems more in line with what I perceive TIS wants to implement. I'm not entirely against stuff like hygiene.. I don't think it'd be too awkward. Like what are the things for hygiene? Showering/bathing, Teeth brushing, pooping/peeing. (Don't judge me if I can't remember any more) But I think those are the basics of hygiene that should be added considering it's probably good to maintain considering you're in a disease infested world with blood spilling everywhere. It could be very awkward for some though, but I feel it'd be good for immersion. And I'd just honestly find it entertaining, and think of some funny scenarios where a zombie just pops in when you're on the toilet xD... I"m a bit obscure like that. I forgot exactly why hygiene is a "No" on the commonly suggest list. Not demanding it, just giving my 2-cents on the topic. Probably gonna look for that forum argument that explains that's floating around somewhere. But this would prolly be a good idea considering this sounds more like what TIS wants and overall seems in the best interests of most ppl.
  21. Hi, not trying to stir up a "persuasive argument", but rather more of an intellectual food for thought kind of argument. Because i'm having a bit of trouble why people have an issue with the chainsaw as a weapon against zombies. I'll admit right away a bias I've always thought the chainsaw was a cool weapon for the zombie apocalypse, and i'd personally like to see it more as a combat weapon in certain scenarios, but this isn't a "Give me this thing cause I like it" persuasion. I'm not demanding or persuading for anything and i'm not trying to come off as demanding, but rather I just want to understand more. I apologize for grinding any gears for seeming just "ignorant", or anything of that nature I'm just curious about understanding. I'll note some points that caught my eye. "Chainsaw being noisy" That's a good point, but so are guns. I don't think chainsaws would be good as a constant combat weapon, but moreover as something when you want to clear out hordes or something in a scenario where you don't necessarily care about noise i.e. " Escaping a horde and just cutting through zombies to make a pathway out." "Chainsaw spilling infected blood everywhere" Another good point, but baseball bats, axes, pencils, knives, etc. all have that potential effect of spilling infected blood on yourself and in close proximity. Fighting zombies I reckon infected blood almost always would be involved concerning conventional weapons. Wearing some kind of almost hazmat-like suit whether something legit, or improvised could prevent that. Cause if the blood gets you infected then you're going to need to protect from getting touched by it in the first place, chainsaw or not. The petrol point seems pretty vital. "It's rather heavy" Not every chainsaw is heavy. I've held some decently light chainsaws in my days. Also, in theory, if we were in an apocalypse scenario a majority would have adapted to pretty optimal physical standards compared to a regular society where survival isn't as much of a concern. "It can break or fail" Well so do all of the other weapons that are included in PZ. The chainsaw could just be another thing that needs to be regularly maintained just like in real life. A good thing to note too is that the blades would get very dull though, and sharpening the blades would be a tedious task, so finding new blades for the saw would be more of an issue. "If you try to cut a zombie with it the flesh will clog the chainsaw's engine and break it before you've even made it to the bone." Well this may sound very dumb of me, but just my thinking.. If chainsaws can cut trees and ice. Shouldn't chainsaws be able to cut through flesh no problem? I could understand that after a while of not maintaining your chainsaw that it could get messed up, but I don't feel like it would just instantly break. The flesh clogging up the engine is the biggest point i've seen that interests me though. How would flesh "clog up the chainsaw's engine" and break it almost instantaneously? This isn't a personal attack, but just to address a possibly bias one may have. I feel that because you have a partiality to realism in Zomboid, that you may have a prejudice against movie's idea of zombie fighting with chainsaw. Although, not that all things done in a movie with chainsaws against zombies is exactly "realistic", but that doesn't mean throwing everything cause of the unrealistic representation often shown a lot. Anyways, that should be it. I thought that the infected blood, and clogging up of the chainsaw were good points. I personally don't think it'd be a super terrible weapon, but not like a weapon that would make you invincible without consequences like noise, and gas requirements. I feel it'd be efficient as long as it's not used as some casual weapon to run through the streets of your town with when there are zombies nearby, and you don't have a way to transverse them, or you can't risk them coming to you. My bias is I really like chainsaws in zombie lore though lol. I'm not trying to start a big fuss; if the topic of chainsaws is a bit touchy I can get off of it. Just was more curious, and wanted to understand more. Cheers. = )
  22. Sounds like a pretty badass idea. = )
