  1. Hello, I am speaking for both the community and the Dev's, could you please add an Official Test Map for your latest updates ? For example a large parking lot with all vehicles having a place to spawn and such, different types of roads, terrain, etc. Zombies to roam a side of it, and a bunch more. Would love to see that kind of a test map. You could get a lot of information out of it and we could test all kinds of bugs and, fps decrease and other issues that pz needs fixed and as such I think it would be a good idea to be able to test the new features on a such said map. We could have trees to crash in or to chop, a mechanic shop filled with the parts you need to test out anything else and so on. That way it would be easier to test and see where problems arise. Below is a really poor example (really poor) but I think that everyone gets the idea. We can test houses, how the rendering will affect buildings and such and vehicles. We can have a dense area with a bunch of houses, a bunch of two story buildings and then just normal country road. Tight curves, intersections, etc. We could basically do a lot of stuff on it and it would be a fun way for everyone to test out new features before playing or if they are willing to make the game better and report anything unusual. This is just a suggestion but I hope it will come true. A cell or four at max would probably be enough for the car to accelerate, do leaps and anything like that. Please think it through and share your opinions with me and anyone else.
  2. True, I hope the Devs can figure something out or are working on something. Will love to see what changes the new Vehicle Build will add with the tiles not loading anymore so that it doesn't lag as much. I noticed that large hordes are not as bad as rendering is. Especially in the town or where many objects are placed, it seems that vehicles are a buzz on that point.
  3. Had issues with these. Police car texture glows in the dark. Keys on the bridge between WP and The Mall are sitting in the water, also got stuck in that car because I jumped over a ledge since I couldn't get in from the other side. I unlocked it, jumped back, jumped again, got in (I think) and so on. If I press v I can access the car but can't turn radio or anything <.__.> Also, March Ridge cars (first picture) are all facing the wrong way. Most of them are parked in front of doors etc and I found it quite funny as one glitched out of a fence and I smashed into it. XD It works a bit, a tiny bit better. It's true that the city zone slows me down because of rendering, my zoom is 100-150 max when driving. I still get lag that affects gameplay because of it. Will be waiting for the things said to be done about lower specs pc's to help people out. Cheers.
  4. The lag seems to have diminished a bit, but otherwise it still persists, especially in higher density areas. I've got a problem though. I changed settings and was 2 times magically teleported into other places, the third time I was teleported in a car, while I was, IN MY CAR, DRIVING. Damn. Also, there's an invisible shadow and I presume that is of the parked car that I've been teleported on. Zombies regarded it as a solid object too. Uh, help ?
  5. Will test to see. When done testing I'll write a message here.

    Union City

Dude, that looks like a solid storage room from real life and an apocalypse! Great job
  7. Congrats on being a father !!! P.S, teach your child the secrets of TileZed so he/she may succeed you later on XD Had some issues with missing tiles but I think I might have some files missing. They look amazing so far, might edit them a bit on the windows, I'd use for the clear glass ones a black vertical glass line at the ends to make those really fit. Otherwise they look pretty good.
  8. These buildings look lovely c: There are some things which I'd like edit on some buildings, like more windows or some exterior wall detailing, but otherwise they look pretty fine to me!
  9. It will make it's appearance in 'Union City' first and then maybe on others maps

Still glad with what I'll get up until then as small as it would be I'd be glad for anything that makes the game more life-like.

I have to thank you guys for implementing the collision on the road decorations! I've asked this quite a few times and it seems like it was worth the wait! No more X-Men streetlight-walking XD On the second quote, I do have a slower system so it's nice that there will be some improvements on that area also which will help with better performance and rendering/graphics issues since mine are set on low right now with the car build on. Also, hoping to see the center of towns like West-Point and Muldraugh become accessible to me since they indeed lagged a lot with the system trying to bring everything into view. This will also help with people checking building interiors from above and such, so thanks a lot Dev's! Really looking forward to build 25! Cheers
  14. iwilbekupmysave use this one if you want or veichle-work in progress. The first one does not have cars, the second does.
  15. Go in steam, library, Project Zomboid, right click on it, go down to proprieties, click beta, select latest ibwms (or whatever it's called). Let it download, voala. You have different things there to select. Good luck.
  16. Thanks for taking the time to answer to my concerns. I hope that interiors do make an appearance and that the possibility to visibly remove chairs from inside the car becomes available. I think that maybe a randomizer program/code would help with the vehicles. The normal, parked vehicles that you find in a driveway/parking lot should be with their doors/trunks etc closed and maybe only have a chance of let's say, 5-10% to find one that has the trunk or a door left open, as if to say that the infected person managed to get out before re-animating back to life or a survivor who tried to escape/loot and left the trunk/door/hood open. That would be nice. Same would apply for cars on the road and such, but they should have a higher chance of having doors/hood/trunks left open or lights/engines left to run before the battery/gas gets drained from them, or engine failure. I think that there should be a percentage (%) system implemented like with maybe loot spawns, you know ? In which both you Dev's and the custom map creators can edit the amount of car's being spawned, probability of vehicles with engines on/off, lights on/off, hoods/trunks/doors left open/closed or all/nothing, you know ? I saw a system like it (way more simplified) on the Unturned Editor, something similar maybe ? Or yeah, a proposal like that. And I think that when a player gets in the car he'd have to close all car doors/trunk/hood unless he wants the steering wheel to be awkward, jerky and hard to control (since he can't quite see with the hood left open), items falling down or getting lost because the trunk is open, and bites/scratches for doors left open. So I think that there should be a button or a double click to close the door/trunk/hood so you won't have to press V and such, especially if followed by zombies. I hope this peaks the interest and helps out in any way possible. Also on curbs and such the doors if left upon would automatically close themselves from the jerky movements. But as for the hood/trunk they'd have to get closed manually for better driving performance (actually see where you're going) and not losing items. Players who left those open should have the consequence of high degradation to their engine parts via zombie-hits and loss of items being carried in the back of the trunk. (Maybe find crawlers in cars, just a suggestion (.-_-.) )
  17. Try recording, it doesn't seem like any of us know what is properly happening or why it would be happening. Record it, post it on yt and leave a link and then we can note what's been happening. Specs on your pc ? Might be due to lag, been playing the vehicle version ?
  18. Well, crawlers tend to lunge at their victims using their hand and bodyweight to push themselves. I myself have died once because of a bite like that. Just don't use spoons anymore, pressing Space to stomp them is way better. If you wanna kill crawlers, go behind them and press Space several times. Never go front or left/right at them, they, unlike other zombies, can turn around better on each side. So, yeah. Otherwise, I don't think that this is a game problem.
  19. One of my concerns with the doors/trunks/hoods is that they might cause lag in both single player and multiplayer if the character decides to leave them open somehow or if they freeze (I'm not sure if when you back out of the inventory the doors/trunks/hoods automatically close down) and they start driving with the hood or trunk up. Although, I would love to see open car doors/trunks/hoods on the side of the road, in traffic jams and so on. While there might be stuff worth searching for in the cars, most of them will be either out of gas or out of battery since they might have been left running or with their lights on etc. I'm not sure how you guys will implement those but it would add a lot more to the realism to see cars that have been left like that.
  20. Exactly. A drop of blood in the eye and you should feel the symptoms start manifesting in a few hours at best. In real life killing a zombie that is either badly cut or bloated would cover you in gore, thus masks and eye protections should be essential to stop the transmission of fluids. It's just like a sneeze, which can travel for up to four-five meters, and give you a chance of 7-18% in getting the flu.
  21. Seems like a nice idea, but I'm not sure about the spawning and such and how many different car textures will be made. If a larger city comes out, then adding police car ID numbers would be a bad idea since they'd just repeat themselves over and over again, but I understand what you're saying. If there could be some kind of number texture manager, then sure. Otherwise, I'm not sure how this would be good for the game and the small towns. Still, a good idea for larger populated areas.
  22. Try build 38, yours might be either bugged or the zombie problem itself never existed and your character just gets too close to them for comfort.
  23. I know exactly what childhood memories I want to revisit in the apocalypse. XD
  24. I think that VHS tapes would be a nice add to the game since they could raise the mood of the player. The only problem is, that they should all be different in terms of genre, educational or comedic purposes etc. That means that more than 1 VHS tape has to be in the game, probably eight or twelve to get some relative diversity into the game itself. But indeed it seems like a good idea, and only some TV's would have devices that could connect to the VHS itself.
