  1. The thing I really like about Zomboid is that even though development can be slow, it IS still in development. So you can take a break from the game and come back in a month or so and there is usually something new to it, whether it's a new useful mod or new content. I personally don't mind the pace, I think that when NPCs eventually do come out they will be freekin awesome, as the devs take their time and do not put out a crappy product. Also the fact that they listen to the community and actually implement suggestions from them is a big positive for me.

  3. Could you please add Alfalfa to the "Dry into Straw" recipe for the herbalism table? So far it has no use in game.
  4. That looks great! Would you mind posting your mod? I have been wanting to make some similar furniture mods but I haven't figured out how to make it work. If I can see how your mod works I can copy the technique and make my own different furniture.
  5. So I was starting off today trying to figure why, when I slaughter pigs, I don't get bacon. I looked through the Hydrocraft lua and everything seems to be ok on that end, but when I look at the base game files I see that under the Distributions.lua bacon is called "farming.Bacon". Is this what is messing it up? Could someone better at lua help me figure this out please? =)

  8. Thank you! =D It's nice to get feedback. Of course goldies are on the list. I wanted to do the pack/war dogs first so I could get the bags and armor out of the way. Maybe goldies should have packs too? It's up to Hydro. And I'm totally planning to do a black lab, it's just gonna be a while. I took a break on doing dogs after my IRL dog was hit by a car, and he was a black lab, so I'll probably do them last. Just makes me a little sad now. But I still plan to do it!

  13. So I've got this idea that I'd like to have seasonal item spawns in the world. Using Nolan's awesome Items Spawn of the Ground mod, I want to make a few items that will only appear during certain seasons. For example: In spring months, flowers spawn in meadows. Maybe insects are easier to find. In the deep woods, some seasonal herbs may be easier to find. Etc. In the fall you could have mushrooms to find in the woods, acorns, walnuts and other seasonal produce. And in winter you can't find anything. I think aesthetically it would be cool to see these things, and give more incentive to explore the woods and rural map. The issue is I think I know how to make seasonal item spawns using the code in the hunting mod, which does a season check. I'm trying to brainstorm some ideas, however, to make those items disappear once the season is over. Modders, any ideas?

  16. Connall and BatSphinx, you are awesome! I think my biggest modding problem is that I'm a total moron when it comes to lua events. I'd like it if a very basic "How to Write Lua Events, Hurp Derp Dur Durr" could be written. There are some guides on this site but I haven't had much luck with them, they mostly define lua events, not how to write them.
  17. Pibbles and stuff. On the Hydrocraft front page where it shoes the dog graph, it shows rotties as war dogs as well. Do you want me to make armor for them too? Of just stick to what is in the mod?

  19. Di-Crash, when the code addition comes out could you please post a tutorial on how to load your custom skinned models?
  20. I agree, but there's like a million of em. You'd be reading books for the rest of your characters life! LOL.
  21. Those clothes do look really good. I agree with Di-Crash, I was looking for ays to re-skin some existing models to create more clothing variety. If there was a simple work around that could be implemented in the meantime before the animation system goes live (which could very well be a few years) I'm all for it.
