  2. Seems like the general opinion *salutes* is that the crafting menu also needs an information about the level and skill needed to craft the recipe.
  3. It's most probably one of your mods that causes this. Either deactivate them all or look for Errors in the Console-Window.

  5. I had problems running it on a server. The server would kick myself, because of lua mismatch. Probably the objects.lua? Any solutions despite deactivating lua-check?

  7. @Suomiboi: Oh, ok I did read the post about the debugger but may be to blind to see the part about loading a file. Thank you for the information. @ethanwdp: Wow. Nice. That is exactly what I had in mind to mod myself. I will try to expand it with some kind of auto completion. I thought about reading all the lua files with "luadoc" and indexing the functions in a file. Than using tooltips to show available functions. Are custom tooltips at an edit-field possible?
  8. @hydro: To create a new category you just need a translation in \media\lua\shared\translate\EN\IG_UI_EN.txt I will look into the wearable hat thing. I'm not able to create the sprites to make it visible on the character. But a little script that will allow to "wear" it in the inventory should be easy. You are right with the bandages. In the vanilla code it looks the same. Don't know how disinfecting even has a benefit.
  9. Hi, maybe I missed it, but I didn't found a way to effectively test out lua code in the game. Is there a way to type lua code in some kind of console and have it executed in a running game? Or do I have to write it in my mod files and reload the mod (and than the game) every time I make a change?

  14. What? How? This script will read the scripts folder of your mod and read every item (DisplayName) and recipe. It than connects to google translate and will write the translation in the lua\shared\Translate\[language]\ files. But! Yeah, it's only google translate. It works best with sentences. With groups of 3 words or less its not as good. While testing it with german, it got about 40% - 60% spot on and about 90% close enough to understand. You have to decide if this is enough for your mod. Even if you don't want such a translation, this script will be good enough to create a starting point for a manual translation. It's faster to correct a few wrong words, than writing the whole file yourself. Ok, how do I... you need Python 2.7 installed on your machine to run the scriptboth scripts needs to be placed in your mod folder, next to the media folderdouble-click "createTranslation.py"it will create a results.log with some information about the processit will write the translations in the folder Project Zomboid expects them.What if I already have translation files for my mod, but I want to add a new item and need a translation just for this one? First of: Better backup your existing translations first! Seriously file encoding is a bi.... I can't guaranty that it will work with your files. Special chars could get corrupted by the script if your file isn't utf-8. But, if everything works, the script should always read existing translations first and just add new items and recipes to the existing translation files. It should NOT replace existing translations with google translate. I'm from ... can it also create a translation for my language? Sure. Right now it will only create german and french. But you can just open the file via any text editor, scroll to the bottom and add the line writeTranslationFiles('[your language]') to the other lines.   15. Thanks you two for the info. It's difficult to read the files with a script when you don't know what they are encoded in. When writing back, I will just get sure to write utf-8. I just hope it doesn't mess with the special chars. Will post a script tomorrow, that automatically creates translation files for items and recipes based on google translate. The translation may not be perfect, but it can really speed up a manual translation.

  17. Is the boxing of ammo from your mod or is this a general feature of the game? If not: We had some problems with ammo on our server. Packing 9mm ammo in boxes used just 1 bullet per box, but returned 30 bullets when opening the box. Also, here is the new error list for your mod: You can get it here to run it for yourself.

  21. Can you send me a text file instead? I can send you the python script that generates this text files from your scripts. This way you can generate the translation yourself, everytime you release a new version with new items just by double clicking a .py file.
  22. Yeah sorry, this post was originally in another thread and got moved to this one. I removed this part. Until Hydromancer looks into it, removing the two files is the only way to play with the new build and hydrocraft.
  23. The huge amount of new recipes in this mod is causing artifacts in the UI. This was already present in the CraftHelper-Mod. Now you can see it when opening the Crafting Menu when you have Hydrocraft installed. Seems to be some lowlevel problem in the UI framework. Maybe the devs can look into it.
  24. Hydrocraft Mod does not work with this. You can't open the new Crafting Menu. I tried a little bit and when you remove the "scripts" folder it works, so it isn't the lua. But I can't see a difference in the vanilla item / recipe syntax and the one used in hydrocraft. Exception after starting a new game: Exception after pressing "b":
  25. The new build (32.8) doesn't work with this mod. You can't open the new crafting menu when this mod is activated. Edit: I found the two script files that are causing the problem: Food Soup.txtFood Taters.txtIf you delete them, you can open the crafting menu. I have no idea what is different in this files.
