  1. That's a cop-out. You're trying to turn this discussion into an argument so it can be shut down. Frustration is natural when you've been told for seven years that this promising little tech demo is going to be turned into an amazing zombie game. But where's the end game? I read through the radio script. THAT'S the game I want to play. But the game doesn't feel undead, it just feels dead in single player.
  2. I suppose so. Still, the sentiments expressed in that thread, "mean" or not, are valid. There's a lot of things in this world that aren't nice. We've been told to be patient, not to ask for deadlines, for seven years. What has that resulted in? https://steamcommunity.com/app/108600/reviews/?browsefilter=trendyear&snr=1_5_reviews_&p=1 This is a list of the Most Helpful reviews for the last year of Project Zomboid. Some of those people recording those reviews have hundreds of hours on them. Most of them have around 40/50 hours. And the sentiment they are consistently expressing is the feeling of being led on. Of being told to be patient. Of being told to be patient for seven years...
  3. "General McGrew" telling everyone that everything is fine, that it's just a handful of infected trolls, and to return to your houses to await the arrival of NPCs. Meanwhile, the reality is this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/108600/reviews/?browsefilter=trendyear&snr=1_5_reviews_&p=1
  4. I suppose it only displays to those who are logged in, or perhaps it's a CSS issue. You ever read the radio in this game? https://pastebin.com/cBQVMzCG "Everything is fine in Project Zomboid, and just because the lines of communication are being disrupted doesn't mean people are being strung along. Return to your homes."- Our own "General McGrew".
  5. Mind screen shotting it? All I see is what appears to be 67 disappeared posts, on a topic "they" despise when we talk about it.
  6. How about this? https://www.reddit.com/r/projectzomboid/comments/6rbit8/dev_we_want_npcs_its_half_a_decade_plus_two_years/ 67 comments, all disappeared. I've seen "certain people", who will ban you if you name them, bait people into frustration, and then when they express their frustration, they're mocked, censored, and banned. It seems that the punishment for verbal spats only goes one way.
  7. Hell, they ban any dissenters. They have become utterly cynical about it. They're a small team, and the amount they make from monthly sales isn't negligible. You look at the steam reviews "Most Helpful" page for the last year, you'll see what the community really thinks about this game. https://steamcommunity.com/app/108600/reviews/?browsefilter=trendyear&snr=1_5_reviews_&p=1 There's a very vocal minority that seems to seriously believe that if we just give them 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, that they'll come through with it. If that's true, why do they ban people for saying otherwise?
  8. Does anyone ever feel like that? How do you cope with that sort of thing?
  9. Fixed that for you Mall-law comes into effect then, and they meet the fast end of a baseball bat.
  10. I'm gonna drag a grill and a TV up to the roof of the mall, and have a cook out during the end of the world. Then, I will deal with any noisy, hungry neighbors still around after I destroy the staircases... Free-loading dead-head bastards never bring their own food, always trying to eat mine.
  11. That article doesn't justify it being in development limbo for 4 years. I could have had a toddler before I bought this game.
  12. We've been polite, but it's been four years. I like radios as much as the next person, but this game started with NPCs, as a proof of concept, and I preferred even those little set pieces over the lack of NPCs in the game now. Why don't you folks implement some form of crude NPCs like the old days instead of making us wait four years for a feature included in the demo?
  13. Same reason we can't now, on foot. Game reasons. I'd be satisfied with something that moved fast, made a shitton of noise, and tranversed z levels.
  14. Something that could switch Z-levels with the number pad, maxing out at a certain level, and consuming a ton of gas.. Not the greatest realism, but maybe it could be done.
  15. Ain't no reasonable Romero simulation of what-havery without no damned whirlie birds up on the roof, allowing me to crash it because I don't know how to fly it. We need a chopper, so we can land on top of malls, and inside secured military compounds. Also, there should be a designated chopper pilot skill needed. You don't just pick that up all willy nilly.. Of course, we ain't even got vehicles, but I like to speculate about the future of this game. Future's bright, but it's hungry. The hunger of the undead.
  16. Sort of like the generators, it'd be nice to take a grill with you, and move it somewhere else...
  17. No. That would be super annoying. How about he just starts making more outbursts verbally? Like when you press "Q", but more despondent, depressed. "Game over, man, Game over!"
  18. Luxuries and amenities re-established would be a hell of a thing, getting to be able to watch TV again, for one.
  19. I've lived out the night, I've been through the dawn... Now it's time for the day. Where's the goddamned military base?! Now, I've loved this game.. made love to it.. And it's beautiful. But for every rose has it's thorn, every dawn has it's day. We need Fort Knox, for everyone who wants to play out Day of the Dead fantasies like me.
  20. This is going to sound stupid, but I thought these were the forum.. I like a good bit of zombie RP, and I've got morality, won't grief.
  21. Hello. I'd like to be added to the whitelist, if you don't mind. I won't grief.
  22. Is there any patch to get this to work with Necroforge? I'd love to play around with some of the guns just for funsies.
  23. I've noticed a lack of any canned goods with their own pull tabs. Why is it that there's none of them in game? For example, in real life, most sardine cans have a pull-tab, and don't need can openers.. Some potted meat products don't. I'm just saying, it'd be a realistic thing for some, not all cans, to be openable without a can opener.
