  1. the theme is dark, the music is fine as it is. the devs made the sandbox mode so nobody should tell you how to play and you can tailor it to your own need. in this case the real solution is just mute the music and play something you like from a playlist. the thing is, when it comes to the standard experience the devs envisioned, someone being able to kill 17k zombies is somewhat of a defeat for the devs. zombies are supposed to be scary, and the new update will do wonders in that regard. you just enjoy the game in a different way, which is fine, nobody can tell you how to have fun, but the official soundtrack will never deviate from the theme the devs have in mind

    very very good, keep up the great work guys! one thing i'd really love to know is if you're gonna vhange the aiming system a bit with the anims update: i know it's hard to hit moving targets and i dig this, but could we have a way of knowing what our character is aiming at? right now i have no way of knowing which zed i'm aiming towards, as long as all of them are in my field of view. also any word on bows? those silent weapons are hard to balance though. lastly, I've read/seen a lot of animations recently, all very cool, and i love how they change gameplay too, and i bet most of the common actions lile eating and drinking are also in, but but buuuuut do we have an animation for smoking? it is a silly detail but i'm a sucker for visible smoking cigarettes

    through my time following zomboid i learned two thibgs: programming is a nightmare, and also your dedication and passion for this game is amazing. just out of curiosity, will we have a lab coat? i don't like the surgery room's outfit, it only makes sense in a sterilized environment and on top of that nothing screams doctor more than a fancy white labcoat (also good for roleplaying as mad scientists. el. psy. kongroo.). in a perfect world where you'll add it i'd even have the preference of it being unbottoned like this but i'd take anything really

  9. Yes, npc development have probably halted a couple of times due to technical limitations, that's my guess as well, so what? They did the impossible already with the shittiest engine on earth. They even hired more professional people to try and beat those limitations, and i'm sure as hell they will. Game have ups and downs but it is one of those that will go somewhere
  10. Don't worry about that, the biggest fans of the game are actually the devs themselves, they want to deliver the game exactly as it's been promised, that's why the game has beenbeen in development for so long
  11. That zombie ball got me scared quite a bit, but now wanna play zombieball. Imagine rocket league in zomboid. With vehicles becoming polished i'm about to get back in the game to play with gf, and when anims will reach the same state i'll go ahead and buy the fourth gift copy so that i'll have all my friends on a server together ^^

I think it's time to fix some half done works: 522: metal stuff should have more hp than wooden one, thank you for putting your time with the coding but right now there is no point in trying: less hp, harder to gather skills and materials, louder so that a zombie knocking will attract way more. 523: fix gas pumps, in multiplayer the admin is needed to spawn gas or to enable loot respawn which a lot of people dislike, just so that more than 1 player ever will be blessed with the sight of a working generator. Running a small community like this is not fun, please allow us to siphon from pumps or to power them, or to siphon from cars, it is just quality of life 524: make life easier for electricians, most players don't bother because there is very little you can dismantle that grants xp, and stuff like house alarm (the item) is still a legend to mostly everybody

But i wasn't neither flaming nor whining, i just stated my personal experience as feedback, if i had a problem with the game i wouldn't be posting criticism, i'd be deleting it and moving to something else. The pumps one for example can be a really neat experience in mp, once we had a crazy run to scavenge gas with a guy panicking to extract as much as he could while the others fended the zeds away, then we had to defend people slowed down by cans and the generator while we escaped. 10/10 would do again. I really hope the fix you suggested catches the attention they deserve, i never tried electrician for the reasons you stated above
  16. Whenever i play i don't even bother using electrician, they love to add a lot of stuff and leave it half broken. Like when they added foraging for medical plants without fixing the bug that made you sleepy (now fixed), or when they added generators but made it on purpose that 6 month later players couldn't even try it becase you had to rush to the gas pumps before the shutoff or you'd be stuck with little to no gas in the whole world (not fixed yet, siphoning from cars will balance life, but as far as i'm aware it's not in the game yet). or meral working, struggle twice as much as carpentry to build anything, and still wooden stuff has more hp... but at least metal stuff attracts zombies with its noise whenever hit. that said, it might take years, but they always eventually fix stuff

  20. Thanks a lot for the infos ^^ well, i'm more than fine with priorities, this one of clothes overlaying is not even close to being one. That said, we're gonna get the white coat as a working suit for doctors? ;_; i wanna play as a mad scientist all the times, i've seen some working suits in the preview and i was curious to know if doctor's coat will be among them
  21. Spiffo suit is amazing. Also i'm wondering if we'll have the white coat for doctors, and if the overlay system will allow me to use it on top of the spiffo suit. Another question: mp and zombie fix could mean working runners in mp? That would be awesome
  22. i tried vehicles a bit in my co op server, and well after a while we had some sync issues, but anything that wasn't expected in an early build, so that's fun. let's start from the biggest part: cars make too much noise. i'm not talking about making them 1% of what they do now, but i feel like we could do without at least 40% of the zeds that are showing up each time i start an engine. i mean, i know that it's fine living outside the town and going in for a rush, but you're not thinking about when vehicles will be in completely: what about when you won't be able to make sharp maneuvers because you'll be afraid of damage the player inside the car? what when the engine will randomly die? what when you won't have gasoline? what about looking for the keys for that one car in your neighborhood for days before being able to start it? i think there is plenty to balance the difficulty of vehicles without going crazy. please don't make this like gas pumps not powered all over again. that said, vehicles handles amazingly well, but i'd really consider changing the engine noise, it's quite bad at the moment

  25. The noise is attracting nearby zombies, wich is cool, so maybe the beep should stop after some time instead of being completely removed
