  1. Managing the inventory is painful sometimes, so why not automatize tools, rss and ammo? I mean using tools while they are still in your bag, not only main inventory. With more time to get things from the bags to the hand of course. Or reloading, while ammo are in the bag too(with auto-open ammo box of course). It would be nice.
  2. OMG... what for? You hate youngster language?
  3. As far as I understand: "Everyone is infected" is the walking dead setting, where no matter how you die, if your brain is still intact, you will come back as a zombie. Other than that, nothing else happens. So, if you die in your safehouse, because you accidentall ate those deliciously looking white berries you found in the forrest, your new character will run into your old char, who now has developed an unhealth appetite for your brain, should you choose to get to your old safehouse. This seems to be working correctly. As I just tested it with a new char who chugged down two bottles of bleach The "infection mortality" should refer to infections from bites and scratches and how long it will take for these infections to kill you. But it seems to be bugged. I tested it with set to never, deliberetly got some scratches, but my character eventually became zombified. The timesetting seems to be bugged as well. If you set day length to real time and infection mortality to 2 to 3 days, your char will become zombified within a few ingame hours. Thanks man. This explained all things i wondered.
  4. Um... every digital watches have build in date. Those watches i saw in the mall, was digital.
  5. Not to mention Agony moodlet. And cutting off your limb may lead to quick bleed-out.
  6. Don't think your quite understanding what I'm saying. Hard of hearing does affect your vision from behind, and other than deaf it doesn't actually affect your "hearing" at all practically. Short sighted only affects how far you can see and the fading. You can see plenty far enough even with short sighted, and it doesn't affect your close-up vision at all. As far as panic, I normally don't take on more than 4 either, and still don't have a problem taking them down, even at extreme panic. It was just the combination of panic + hard of hearing, reducing my behind vision to basically nil, that caused a couple of deaths that discourages me from taking it. Coward to me is still free points until either panic gets a significant buff, or zombie AI improves. Never noticed it, so i can't agree or disagree with you. For me, Hard of hearing is not a problem. Just today i had some problems during fight. I was extreme panicked, extreme overloaded and in high exertion. Oh and hungry. It takes 5 minutes till i killed 2 zeds, they barely even moved backward, as i beat them in slow motion
  7. Yes, if you have Hard of Hearing + Extreme State of panic, a zombie can literally bypass your entire perception radius to the point that hes already in the biting animation from behind before he "appears". Granted, you could say it was my fault for getting that high of a panic state, but what I had "thought" was previously clear behind me was not, and a zombie came from behind while fighting 2 in front of me. Needless to say, I don't take hard of hearing anymore unless I absolutely need 2 more points that I can't get from elsewhere. Short Sighted is a much safer investment. I don't trust Short Sighted in turn. Never took it. IMO sight is more important in PZ than hearing. Ummm Extreme panic... i avoiding groups larger than 4 zeds at the start, because extreme panicked char is not good fighter. In my hunt for free points i often chosed Coward. But not anymore. Without it you can be only slight panicked if fighting 3 zeds. But with it, every zed add you higher panic level, so it's not worth.
  8. It may be realistic, but... if you chop your leg off because of scratch/bite, then your char is dead meat. With broken leg car can't run and moving like a snail. But without leg... crawling? No way. That is the same with arm. Without one arm you can't build anymore, and some other actions too. Weaker attacks with bat in one hand and so... that can be brutal disadvantage. Those mutilations can be fun in one condition. If your char can tie a chainsaw instead of his hand, like Ash Williams
  9. That is correct, guys. I reading this request everywhere, but no dev commented it till now. Maybe they planing to do it with 1.0 version. Let's hope...
  10. I used to take that, but now I try to avoid it if at all possible. From what I understand it does affect the vision behind you, and has led to a few deaths from a zombie coming up from behind while panic'd with this trait and getting bitten. Traits really need a detailed description at some point IMO to help evaluate them properly, and to fully understand how they affect certain mechanics. You died from attacks from unnoticed attacks from behind? Wow, this didn't happened to me. Mostly i die from simple scratch/bite, where virus takes control. And some deaths by being a hero and figting 6 zeds in one crowd, mauled to death. But not by surprise attack. I hear them attacking me every time and if i hear growling and don't see zed, it means i must turn around immediately.
  11. Map is very pretty and rich, but i noticed problems with user maps. They haven't set areas for foraging. I like doing it, if lack of axes, or food.
  12. Conspicious is good for free points too, but not recomended for beginners and non-warriors. Some said Clumsy too, but i won't take it. If in the safehouse, i want to be safe and relaxed. With more sounds, some wanderer zeds may hear me inside and start to ram doors or windows. I hate this sound, it gives me creeps
  13. Other than the detailed post I made on page 2 (which is mostly my opinion, and I feel we really need some more "exact" information to debate some traits), here are the ones I feel that are hard to debate against. Traits that are 100% free points High Thirst - Now that drinking from lakes is a thing, water is very easy to come by. Hearty Appetite - Until food is balanced, its pretty much impossible to starve to death if you know what your doing. Hemophobic - The drawback of this skill is pretty pointless, since if you need First Aid, your not gonna be attempting to kill zombies at the same time. Weak Stomach - Same issue as Hearty Appetite, you have no reason to be eating rotten food. Slow Reader (Single Player only) - Simply fast forward through, makes little difference and is free points. Traits that are too cheap Outdoorsmen - for only 2 points, having complete immunity to colds trivializes the whole point of rain and sickness. Must have for pretty much any build at that cost. I agree competely with that. But noone mentioned +2 free points for Hard of hearing. I taking i every time, because there is no difference in hearing, if you have it or not. Zombies before attacking char producing growling sounds, which you can hear even with Hard of hearing(i mean situation when char don't notice attacking zeds by sight).
  14. Soooo i'm curious about adding new skills. Or better said replace carpentry for more suitable skill like Builder, or Engineer, or... i don't know name that covers all the things player can made by himself... Maybe Handyman? There is a mod, where player can create almost any building that you can see in the city. But i don't really like mods that adding many things in this game, because of so many releases and mod compatibility, even one can be lost in many mods in some future build, where some mods would be added into vanilla. So why not add it into vanilla? I really, REALLY would like to see that player can made things out of metal(no more nails-hungry in survival mode), or making glass windows. And adding feature of making roofs(without making stairs build before, scaffold kit would be needed). And if making glass works are too much, so at last being able to disassemble windows from neibourhood houses and add it into your house/fortress. Oh yes, another idea just now popped out. Disassembling. Wooden walls, doors, floors... and destroying things with sledge into visible rubble, where something usefull can be, if lucky. Another idea is... TIME. And DATE. IRL human can't know, what time and date is now, without watches. I saw digital watches once in great mall, so... Why don't take out time and date from the upper right corner? It will be more realistic. And give watches a purpose. Wearable loot. If char find watches, from that point he can have his upper right corner back. Another thing... different looks of zeds. Bodies. Some skinny, some obese... even char. And more clothing types, like for example raincoats, jackets, necktie, uniforms/overalls...
  15. Moderator WarningProtip, saying No offence does not defuse your post. Remember to Be Lovely please If you think you need to say 'no offence', or some vein of it, rewrite your post till you don't need to. You can say what you mean without causing offence. ... And on another tack, is there any consensus here? We'd like to get some of this distilled I only saying my opinion and i don't think i wrote some insulting, but i know that some people are sensitive and touchy, so with "no offense" i only want to ensure everyone that my lines are only another opinion like others have and not personal attack. Along with smile faces. I'm just straightforward guy and using less diplomacy than others. Warn me if you wish, ban me if you need, stone me if you want. But that's simply me.
  16. Maybe it would help if player, aiming on the zombie horde can see, who will be shot. Like green or red aura around zombie, who is the actual target. So player could shoot zombies from the window on the second/third floor.
  17. I don't know... i think that every option in settings are the same. Options on top are hard ones and on the bottle are easy. In the middle... you know. Everyone's Infected option is in the middle, it can't be worse than Blood+Saliva. Maybe devs screwed the line.
  18. I don't really know if i did not understand it properly, or it simply don't working. Once i set INFECTION MORTALITY to NEVER, out of curiosity. TRANSMISSION was normal, BLOOD+SALIVA. In my opinion this have to work like you can be infected, but not killed by it. But it was the same story like set to 2-3 days. Once bitten, fever, zombified then death by huge health loss. Everyone noticed this too? Is it bug, glitch, or only misunderstood setting?
  19. I lol'd because it happen to me in real life. After taking a break from the game for several months, the loud panic sound emited from my headset caused me to shivered with fright when my character spotted a hidden zombie. Glad I didn't have a weak heart. Haha sometimes when i playing PZ alone in the night, everything is quiet, i'm tense and jumpy and every random sound in the rooms IRL pushes me to hit ESC and taking a deep breath. And when bathroom zombie attacking me, i'm more panicked literally, than my char.
  20. *covering my head* don't hit me, please
  21. ... you are hungry in the market and eat an apple before paying for the stuff ... you meet first human after many hours of playing the game and make *YAY* sound, thinking that build 32 with NPC's is already out ... you went into library, searching for books for beginners, especially carpentry
