  1. Because IMO it does not fit the lore. <snip> Oh come on, Zomboid isn't some long established, set in stone, intellectual property - it's a game still in development. If we are meant to take the game in its current state as a canon representation of the exact lore of the world in every detail, the car was never invented and yet people made roads, every single person in Kentucky is infected except one (or a handful, if in multiplayer), ladders are only for show and not for climbing, and the rest of the world doesn't even exist. Besides, there have been a few times a character of mine has died in their (used to be) safe-house, and when returning there is a zombie in the safe house looking exactly like the character... can't confirm, really, if it's the same zombie, but I can assume.
  2. How is this a concern? It sounds more like a reason to have it! If you would try to make your zombie not eat your friends, why wouldn't you try to make it eat your enemies?
  3. GRANTED! You now live in a mental asylum, in a padded cell. The staff is very nice to you. You never have to worry about the bad men, ever again. You are safe. I wish for a job that I don't hate.
  4. I don't think anyone has done a truly scientific study on this, and we certainly don't have the actual source code. People tend to only remember the bad times out the ones that go against expectations, so remember ALWAYS being zombified, not recovering. I don't know about anyone else, but I wonder if broken legs are even survivable. Every time that's happened to me in game, I've died. I heard that broken bones are supposed to heal, eventually. That seems off topic, but illustrates my point.
  5. Scratches and bites are two different things. With bites, you have saliva to worry about.
  6. All this talk of solar cells... Remember when this game is set. Solar cell efficiency was nowhere near where it is today, back in 1993.
  7. I always did wonder about those clothing stores... Has anyone made a mod that fixes that?
  8. Nice ideas. Simple suggestion: pockets. If you don't, I might.
  9. Call me old fashioned, but I like my simple substitution ciphers to actually contain something interesting. Long story short, don't waste your time on this one. It's not remotely interesting (although why something so banal is so encrypted, that is something to ponder)
  10. It worked fine in 33.13, shouldn't be a problem in 33.14
  11. American money has no iron coinage that I am aware of. Most American currency is either cupronickel or zinc. Even if some foreign currency does, I can't imagine any amount high enough to be found regularly enough to be a useful thing for making nails. You can be forgiven for not knowing this, since from the flag on your profile picture, it seems that you come from a place where coinage actually is made of things that really have value.
  12. I totally understand your decision if you want to move on to other projects after this, Jab. Especially considering that it should be in the game, already. But please, if you do, release the source so that others can take up the torch.
  13. I always use a mod which allows access to the inventories of containers ONLY when they are unequipped. This means one must choose between the weight reduction of equipping the pack, or being able to access its inventory. This suggestion takes that idea one step further. In a game designed to be as realistic as possible, only being able to access a backpack when it's in the one place where one would realistically not be able to access it is strange. Definitely support this suggestion.
