TheDreaded1 got a reaction from Khun_Poo in IWBUMS Nutrition Feedback - Official Thread
I like the concept of a balanced diet, but I feel the current system is overly complicated. To me, pz should be about an average joe, with beneficial, specialized knowledge gained through occupations. Average joes don't really count carbs, rather we know we need meats and veggies (with exceptions of course). So i think simple red and green meters symbolizing (loosely) meat and veggies, with a "sweet spot" in the middle. Then certain foods can fill up a particular meter or a little of both while actions drain them, and going above or below the sweet spot leading to weight changes. It would simplify a lot and lead to , "oh i need more veggies." instead of "wtf is a lipid?"

I can't really get behind any sort of immunity or psuedo-immunity. Fatal bites are important to the game difficulty and "story generation," doubly so when npc's are released, not to mention the game needs more threats and danger, since it becomes fairly easy. Amputations and armor would be a better compromise.

Injury/Medical System Issues and Proposed Solutions
Issue: Amateur medical care being on par with professional medical care.
Solutions: Prescription Medication and Over-the-Counter Medication.
Medication can have side effects, with prescription medication side effects much more severe than OTC medication, and mixing medication can be dangerous. Only Doctors know what side effects pertain to what medicine, and which meds shouldn't be mixed, as well as what happens when you do mix meds and how to treat dangerous mixtures.
Issue: Not enough non-fatal wounds, leading to large, useless medical supply.
Solutions: Menial tasks can injure survivors based on their lack of skill in certain tasks (cooking, building, ect.) Amateur treatment may cause more issues than solve, leading to infection, sickness, and possibly death. This would all help the issues Doctors have leveling First Aid, as people would really want to be healed by a professional, instead of doing it themselves and possibly dying.

This has been suggested before, but good Idea!
For the first issue I suggested :
For the second Issue I have to suggest King jjwpenguin's content:
They could give you some ideas for your topic here!

I 100% agree with the whole need more medical uses and what you said about the pills and being able to saw off your arm or a buddies arm would make for great RP and say like you trying to saw off your buddies arm and you have a really low first aid skill and what happens is you rupture and artery and he dies from it! And the things with pills like say if someones character had a heart problem and they needed to take pills to keep their heart going and you tamper with their pills and mix in a capsule of cyanide to kill them incognito style. But if i kept this going i could get into like purposely infecting someone like an enemy with a dangerous pathogen like influenza (when not treated) or some highly infectious disease to go wipe out their colony/group.

Breaks? Hmmm well that depends...
Lemmy, did you eat your meat? You cannot have any pudding if you don't eat your meat.

Early access development certainty. Games with release dates tend to rely on them more.

TheDreaded1 reacted to Livio Persemprio in Hypochondria revamp
Yep, that's the kind of polishing I'm looking for, thanks for the idea.
A phase where you are not in fever but in high paranoia sounds reasonable enough to avoid the counter intuitive "where did that fever go" from new players, I like it

Yes you are
Jokes aside, it has been stated so many times that you shouldn't even be asking if you looked around this thread or any other related to dragons.
It's also OK for devs not to give ETAs since developing isn't something that goes as planned, we don't even get etas for animations and creative mode as well, that's just how it works, and believe me, even if this looks counter intuitive, that's the best and most serious way to approach development

Maybe less of a hypochondriac and more fear...when a zombie scratches you, then your character could be scared/depressed until enough time passes that you know you're safe. I also think if you are infected, it should skip queasy and go straight to sick and fever after a brief incubation period..
-
TheDreaded1 reacted to King Kitteh in Hypochondria revamp
You meant to use "queasy" but I think you misspelled it as "squeasy", which isn't really a word but makes you think of something that you can squeeze. So it was the idea that when infected the player would become mushy and easy to squish that I found funny.
Anyway I agree with your core idea, it would be neat I guess. Only real issue is that it might be confusing to new players. "Why did I feel so sick and then nothing happened?"
Edit: Turns out this is a Squeasy

His pineapples were rolling with a mamma dog attack helicopter. Then suddenly, a wild squirrel army and a squirrel commander demanded nuts. He only waited five squirrel seconds before he politely obliged. Before they ripped his pineapples away, they exploded, causing a squirrel massacre, while screaming, causing cancer, and destroying Sauron himself which caused the Apocalypse, leading to legitimate heterophobia. In the next nightmare of Bernie, the sky felt the need to defecate furiously. All umbrellas were utterly useless. The Sun then squealed and a Rainbow
EDIT: This story is giving me AIDs

Every time Npc's are mentioned, a zombie eats a baby unicorn. Save the Unicorns.

In mp, you simply can't escape someone with higher sprinting. You either kill them or die, and that's not very fun. That's why I think sprinting should be mainly top speed and acceleration, while Fitness covers the endurace. You can be fast, but not for long, or you could be slower but run longer. Or you can have both, but other skill progression suffers. To me, this would make it realistic and balance it more

Ultimate NPC Revenge: Make a survivor named Lemmy. He could be damn near unstoppable, geared to take on a small army, and out for blood, murdering anyone he comes across.
Edit: I'm actually ecstatic about VOIP. I can't type fast and can't skype people who I don't know.

Jokes aside, yep, that's everything summarized ^^ this has been a lovely discussion so far and sadly it looks like I can't like anything else for today, so I think I'll call it a day now, I really need some sleep ;_;
