    This adds the city of Raven Creek to the vanilla game world.
     
    The map has the following parameters
    - size 8*8 (64 cells)
    - more than 1400+ buildings (WorldEd), and most of them are multi-storey 
    - more than 23000+ rooms (WorldEd)

    There are three zones of different difficulty on the map. Each zone has its own characteristics, number of infected and amount of loot. Also affects how long you survive (standart +50%), there will be more zombies every day (unless you changed this in the sandbox settings).
     
    На карте три зоны разной сложности. У каждой свои особенности, и количество зараженных. Также влияет и то, как долго вы выживаете, с каждым днем зомби будет больше (если вы не изменили это в настройках песочницы).

    Why do I have to start over after updating the map? 
    For new content to appear, you need to start the game again, except if you have NOT BEEN in the city (RC), and started, for example, in Rosewood, and the update came out. Then when you come to RC there will be new content, even if you started playing on the old version. In general, as long as you have not appeared in the place where the city is, and updated in the process, you can safely continue to play.

    Чтобы появился новый контент, вам необходимо начать игру заново, исключение только если вы ЕЩЕ НЕ БЫЛИ в городе (RC), а начали например в Роузвуде, и вышло обновление. Тогда когда вы прибудете в RC там будет новый контент, даже если вы начали играть на старой версии. В общем пока вы не появлялись в месте где находится город, и обновились в процессе, вы спокойно можете продолжать играть.
     
    Why do I need to turn off the *Randomized house* chance option in sandbox?
    This feature causes bugs, and makes the overall appearance of the map worse. If you see a bug when one half of the garage door is open, the other half is closed, it is from this option. Also burned, or completely covered with curtains skyscrapers (which this option can do) look unpleasant.

    Why do I need to enable the double-sized textures option in the game settings?
    Without this, ANY custom texture added to the map, will cause bugs, this applies not only to my mod, but in general any map except vanilla.

    Why is there so much traffic jam on the map?
    This was done not only for immersion in the game, but also for balance, so that players would have difficulty destroying hordes with vehicles.

    The main point of creating the city was to gain a different experience. Vanilla PZ is more based on survival where it's hard to find weapons, food, etc., but I tried to add more action - there is a lot of loot in Raven Сreek, a lot of weapons, but the difficulty is in the number of infected. There are a lot of narrow lanes where you will be eaten no matter how much loot you have, if you get too much attention. This requires a different approach. Therefore, the original idea of the city was in a huge number of everything, from weapons to the infected. 

    Another reason why there is so much loot on the map. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t like empty towns in multiplayer, when after a short time of creating a server there was nothing left on the map, I hope that Raven Creek will improve this situation. In any case, the city was created specifically for multiplayer, where the city will have a lot of loot, a lot of zombies, and a lot of players (not always friendly).
     
    Don't forget to move things around in the game. Sometimes it can help.  Although I reduced the total number of loot, it's still a lot, the map is not designed for one player, keep this in mind. You can show up at any of the 57 spawn points, some can be tough, especially on rooftops. Use balconies, fire exits to get down safely or if the exit from the roof is blocked.
     
     
     
    Основной идеей создания города было получение другого типа опыта. Ванильный PZ - это в основном сложности с поиском всего необходимого, создание базы и накопление ресурсов. Но мне хотелось добавить сюда больше активности. В Raven Сreek очень много лута и оружия, но сложность тут как в кол-ве зараженных, так и в неизвестном кол-ве их в зданиях, в сражениях в узких и тесных пространствах. Нужен другой подход - включать скрытность, качать огнестрел, использовать окружающую обстановку. Город планировался для быстрых рейдов, поэтому безопасных зон для базы нет и не будет (кроме одной). Крайне советую играть с бегунами.
     
    Вторая причина почему в городе так много лута - карта создана специально для мультиплеера. Думаю все помнят как быстро опустошали от лута ванильные города в мультиплеере. Надеюсь Raven Сreek улучшит эту ситуацию.
     
    Не забывайте двигать вещи в игре. Иногда это может помочь.  Хоть я и уменьшил общее кол-во лута, его все равно много, карта не рассчитана на одного игрока, помните об этом. Вы можете появиться в любом из 57 точек спавна, некоторые могут быть жесткими, особенно на крышах. Используйте балконы, пожарные выходы, чтобы безопасно спуститься или если выход с крыши заблокирован.

    A very happy 4th of July to our survivors in the US!
    The grand plan was to have a slick new vid for you today showing, amongst other things, the fixed-up anim-masking issue with the hovering props that we discussed last week.
    Good news: it’s been fixed up as Zac has been back at the math(s)…
    Bad news: it sadly came in too late for us to have time to do a bells/whistles video of all latest progress for today’s blog and a new Spiffo’s Round Up over on Steam.
    (BUT OH WAIT – TURNS OUT A LAST MINUTE SURPRISE VIDEO WAS POSSIBLE! ENJOY! -ed)
     
    So, here’s a still image to show it’s working at least! And sorry it’s going to be a boring blog today!
    Elsewhere it’s been a really productive week on the internal Build 41 anims beta, but almost all of it in the form of fixes, balance and general improvement. The changelist is lengthy, but the content of it rather dull for anyone outside the coding team.
    Something cool that’s been added is craftable spears and spear attacks, but elsewhere it’s been loads of more minor tasks covering the new cutaway system, pathfinding, footstep sounds, noisy dead zeds, indoor puddles, fixing the issues with radios that are currently in the public build, clipping, tree-chopping, bread knives, strafing, sprinting, turning circles, bite react anims, colour adjustments etc etc.
    This is the way it’ll be for a few weeks now while we wait for Zac to drop in the rotational blends and MP work that we need before we IWBUMS – and (aside from the next one) you’ll see less and less ‘new stuff’ being shown in vids, and more and more general internal tester gameplay.
    So apologies for the dulldoid – but there should be a tasty new vid fairly imminently to make up for it, now that Zac’s math(s) have come in once more to save the day.
    Our thanks to everyone who left a review for us this past week, but most especially this survivor who goes into painstaking detail over how he very nearly shit himself (actually physically shit himself) while playing. Cheers all!

    Some some updates:
     
    I have finally finished the "data pass" where I was locating roads, fields, etc.
    I have been able to discriminate fields and roads to give a sense of geography, otherwise it's just a maze.
    good news is that it won't take me too long to make corrections now, as I have kept the data clean.
    In my previous attempt I had added many fields with actual crops, problem is that it was slowing down radically the system, now edible crops are really reduced in number and the other fields do not cause slowing down.
     
    the last image shows one tile in the WorldED, it was not modified in TileZed, so essentially all the map is consistently like that (except for the city and residential areas that need the new buildings to be done.)
     
    it takes around 40 minutes to drive from East to West, without losing yourself (good luck with that)
     
    I will release the map in the workshop as soon as I have added some buildings and spawn/loot points, Cherbourg will remain quite empty for now. I will open a Patreon after that to see if there is any traction to the map, and I will try to decide what amount of money should be reached to achieve the main city... It's such a huge undertaking that I need to find some way to compensate the amount of time required.

    This was a discussion on the Discord, and it came to the realization of a few that there's literally only one fire department in the entire map, in Rosewood. Are there plans to add fire stations to the other towns, too?
     
    Also, is seems that March Ridge is lacking a police station, as well.

    Since the developers are working in a more realistic weather system, and since radios and televisions are in the game, I think it would be a neat idea to have a TV channel and Radio frequency in game dedicated to forecasting the weather.

    I also think that accident can happen too, if you do things improperly or in some situations. Running while rainning can make you fall and injure yourself, walking backward can make you trip and fall, etc.

    How are there no sleeping bags or other forms of portable beds in all of Knox County? The only real solution would be to find either a stationary mattress (not a craftable one, that doesn't work) or military cot, pick it up using the "pick up" function, and set it up at your preferred location. But that seems like such a hassle. Sleeping bags are a necessity for those who might have to take shelter in a location with no beds or other furniture available. I know they're available in Hydrocraft, but that's a mod. 
     
    Will we see sleeping bags in the future?

    I've been mulling this idea since the vehicles branch was released and I think I might have found a solution to having visible, interactive interiors in larger vehicles such as campers, rv's,  cube trucks,semi's, etc.  It's easier shown than described so I made up some screenshots:
       For gits and shigs; lets say this is a camper

    And I want to setup or lock down the vehicle  

    I would have to park inside a highlighted area that I would select either left to right or up to down so the interior could be properly generated

    Now that I am parked inside the highlighted area, I would turn the vehicle off

    And as such, the interior is now generated, perfect for camping in the woods or for those that like a life on the road

    So, is this a feasible solution, or is this just wishful thinking?

    Hello everyone and welcome to my first mapping project on Project Zomboid. I will be attempting to replicate the current Chernarus+ map into Project Zomboid for you to enjoy. Now,  I am currently working with the basic tiles and items without anything custom added, and it may be a while this way since I don't have much knowledge into creating custom tiles, furniture, etc. So, I will try to get as close as I can to the actual DayZ/ArmA map. Keep in mind that there will be differences and issues and bugs and so forth, but that is why I hope I can make a releasable edition soon for all of you to at least test if you are willing to.
     
    Features:
    A 1 : 1,6 Scale of the map - Due to allowing easier replicating of the map (Or you can see it as 1 Chernarus meter = 1,6 Project Zomboid meters) New Custom Replicas of Chernarus Buildings A 9000x9000px Map A 30x30 cell map (Possible enlargement might be done) This is the PRE-Apocalypse version/Day 1 Version (So no crashed plane in the hotel in Chernogorsk and broken buildings)

    I am basing the map on 500mx500m cubes taken out of the dayzdb map online and slowly re-doing them in photoshop to use them in WorldEd.
