  1. Horns could be greatly useful (they were indeed at State of Decay, specially the Police Cruiser's siren). Imagine you need to clear a path for your friend to go and loot some stuff: You would just grab a car, honk like you're in a rush hour traffic jam and have all the zeds follow you like kids after an ice cream vendor. You don't even have to run over them, you just have to lure them away. Personally, in State of Decay, the fact you could run over almost ever zed, including the special infected sans the Big Bastard was quite a bit of a nerfing. Specially since cars didn't seem to use any fuel and could be stronger than tanks if you had a Machine Workshop in your base. Still, I hope we can door trip; that was perhaps the coolest feature of SoD's cars IMHO. All that aside, if cars get introduced, we should become able to use the Gas Stations to refuel them. At least until the power fails and we have to resort to stored gas. This could greatly help to avoid the cars from being overused. And also, if the Devs wanted to add a higher level of difficulty, maybe they could make the Gas Stations into self-service stations (just like that one in Highschool of the Dead), where you'd need money to get gas, money you'd had to get from cash registers, peoples' homes, other survivors or those now-useless wallets you find on dead zeds. Also, once cars get broken beyond usability, it'd be best if they don't just EXPLODE a la GTA fashion. There's plenty of useful stuff to be obtained from a car; Car batteries, Headlights, Horns, Seats, Tires, all that metal from the doors and hoods (could be used for barricading), even the engine itself could be made into a Generator if it still worked (I remember a generator made with a truck engine on Stalker: Clear Sky). So, to sum up, cars and vehicles would add all kind of new possibilities.
  2. Hmm.... And perhaps the new Burglar Profession should have some kind of bonus to it. After all, thieves use crowbars a lot to pry stuff open.
  3. Cool! Hope it happens soon. Wouldn't mind if it happened before generators; I feel this skill is even more necessary than power....
  4. I second this as well. Sometimes, after I've played a char for too long, I tend to forget what build it has, which makes it quite annoying when I try to create another one.
  5. That's yet another interesting idea. Why does that door has to be destroyed anyway? If a zed attack destroyed the entrance door, why can't I unscrew the door of another nearby home and install it on my door frame? Door recycling could be quite useful for those who don't have a high lvl in Carpentry or available planks. This could be quite a life-saver for all that time before you find your ax and your saw, not to mention the nails.
  6. Just found my first Sledgehammer and I said ''Cool! Now I can take down those doors I wanna break for hinges and planks. Maybe even get myself some more planks from some wooden houses I saw.'', but, when I destroyed my first door IT LEFT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BEHIND. Then tried with house's wall, same result. With a wooden wall I built? Same result.... It's as if more than a sledgehammer, it was a sort of ''Delete'' button that magically disintegrates everything it touches. Why is that? Why can a humble hammer or ax demolish a door more realistically than a sledge? Why do demolished walls don't leave a single bit of rubble? This turns the rare and sought-after sledgehammer in little more than just a big eraser you can use to remove stuff (something which, by itself, is pretty unrealistic. See my other thread for ideas about these furniture issues.) When destroyed by a sledge, doors should behave just like when this is done by a hammer or axe, same for anything player-built. Normal house parts should leave behind different stuff depending on their material; wooden fences and walls should leave planks, roofs should leave roof tiles (which should be used for building a roof instead of just Wooden Floor-ing everything), metallic walls should leave scrap metal or metal plates, etc. I'm really surprised this hasn't been implemented yet.
  7. This is perhaps the biggest realistic element I see missing in this game... Why can we not move around or remove the stuff within our base? Why can't we grab some stuff from other places and bring it to our home? And finally, why do we have to use the Sledge to remove furniture instead of just, like, grabbing it and trowing it away (something which, by itself, is pretty unrealistic. See my other thread for my suggestions for the Sledge.)? If it was the Zombie Apoc, what would stop us from grabbing a chair or a BBQ from the backyard of our already-zedified neighbors? If we need water, what would stop us from grabbing one of those office water fountains and bringing them home? Or why can't we grab another freezer to store our perishables once the other one's full? This feature NEEDS to happen. Because in a game that's about realism, having to use a slege to destroy a garden chair instead of just moving it away completely destroys the realism....
  8. I support this as well. It's pretty realistic and logic too. I mean, why should I hammer or ax a wooden wall to death instead of just prying its pieces off? Plus, if you disassembled a barricade or wall like this, you should recover more Nails and if you just hammer'd or ax'd it down. Also, on a related idea, you should also be able to use the Screwdriver to remove Door Hinges and maybe even the doors themselves. I've sometimes hammer'd over a dozen doors just to get 3 Hinges, why shouldn't I be able to just remove them? I mean, I've done that THOUSANDS of times at my home when fixing a door.
