  1. Sure, but that is also easily done automatically. You just wouldnt have the thirst "regeneration" effect if you were doing something physically exerting. Like sprinting, or fighting. But if your just walking or standing then it could go up no problem. Actually I guess this is a little off the rails from the original suggestion, should I make a sepperate topic for being out in the rain recovering thirst perhaps?
  2. Hmm, I messed up quotes somehow. Sure it is Just have it so if your outside in the rain you naturally recover your thirst bar. You know, while you're wet bar is increasing thirst goes down some. It comes with the penalty of possibly getting sick, sure, but its better than straight up dying. It can be automatic like drinking from a bottle of water. BTW, people dont get sick simply from getting wet or cold, but a bit besides the point.
  3. I actually had no idea you could unbarricade a door from the outside if you nailed it shut from the inside. So yes +1 for logic!
  4. I'll have to try it out, I was wondering what the purpose of assigning a button for melee was.
  5. Simplest answer is usually the best, have it not be able to be filled by fluids other than water would work fine~ Otherwise, you could always say it needs to be empty to be filled with a different fluid.
  6. Oh, I used that to change it to slow since as I said it disappears too fast, and even with slow it disappears too fast. I might try very slow. But, yea it'd be nice if you could select them individually. I personally think the food is okay ish as it is default, other than well fed disappearing too fast. My main issue is with dying from no water in like a day. Would be nice if we could select the rates individually though~ And not just fast, slow, and so on, but actual numbers. Like three days without water to die. Other than that, so it reduces the amount of damage you take? Or is that just bleed damage? Random thought... why doesnt being out in the rain and getting drenched help against being parched anyway? All you would have to do is look up and open your mouth or hold your hands together to get a drink... Last game I died of thirst in the middle of a rain storm :/
  7. Ah I guess that "maybe" explains why pistol bullets loose so much weight when put into a box. That was going to be another suggestion of mine, lowering individual bullet weight. Though honestly I'd just carry them in my pocket or something. I know the pistol uses some magazines and stuff when reloading isnt in easy mode but the wiki said it has bugs and issues so I havent tried using magazines and such. Thanks for replying on that though. What did you think of the rest of the suggestion?
  8. It's not something hard to add, really! Inexpensive and simple. It could be added eventually pretty quick, I bet. Multiple types of windows from multiple directions, potentially necessitating hard-coding into the game, and the Lua functionality . . . neh. Somewhat above simple. Nothing is ever as simple as it should be . . . It should be possible to let someone open a window at least after its broken no? No new sprites needed, just use the open window sprite after they open the broken window~ At the very least "that" seems possible as a place holder until someone wants to edit some broken window sprites.
  9. I know right~ Also, bump. I guess I should have looked a little harder before posting a similar idea.
  10. What resistances to changes in health? Whats the name of the option specifically?
  11. Moved from bug forum, again my bad. It would be nice if there was some medicine, or skill to recover a bit of health. Currently the only way to heal is to eat a lot which gives you a regen bonus, but with how fast the fed bonus disappears you end up having to engorge yourself on tons of food to recover. I understand the realistic nature of that but it wouldnt be completely unrealistic that suturing wounds, bandaging wounds, or taking pills/medicine would also heal you slightly. Granted if you're still losing a lot of health it would still need to get stabilized somehow but the heal only through food thing isn't that realistic either. Either way it'd be better in a game sense if we could recover health in other ways too. Honestly if a scratch can take away a chunk of health then bandaging and treating the wound should give at least some back. Plus, like I said it would be nice if the well fed bonuses lasted longer than a few minutes. >.> Is there a setting somewhere we can change to make it last longer currently at least?
  12. Moved from bug forum, thought the bandages getting dirty this fast was unintended... my bad - - - Now I understand that time in the game moves quicker, but I timed it and a bandage at first aid rank 0 needed to be changed about roughly every 15 seconds~ Thats just... unacceptable. It's ridiculous. And since theres no moodlet to let you know when a bandage goes from clean to dirty you have to watch and wait for it keeping your health screen up at all times. Put it all together and it means you cant really go anywhere anytime you get a scratch because changing bandages is a grueling, time consuming chore until you're completely better. And since a bottle of whiskey only sterilizes two of them you will go through your alcohol ridiculously fast to give it a less chance of being infected. With one small scratch I leveled my first aid to 1 just cleaning and changing bandages. It made reading the book completely pointless since it would have taken longer to read the book than it did just getting a scratch and changing bandages. I dunno what a realistic amount would be but Id like to think someone only has to change a bandage once or twice a day. And honestly a bottle of alcohol should probably be able to sterilize more than two bandages while we're at it. Especially since one bottle of water can clean several dirty bandages. Id think however many bandages you can clean with a bottle of water, you can at least sterilize with a bottle of alcohol. Especially since you can fill an empty alcohol bottle and make a bottle of water. Oh, also, this probably is unintended but often times you create too many bandages from ripping up clothes. I get 8 bandages per piece of clothing. A bandage weighs 0.05, the clothes weigh 0.3, meaning all of the bandages weigh 0.4... if you rip up the shirt and the pants of a zombie you can get 0.6 pounds of clothes magically turning into 0.8 pounds of bandages. It would probably be best if we only got 4 bandages per piece of clothing, since there would likely be a little waste anyway.
  13. A simple suggestion, itd be nice if there was an option to manually set an amount of points new characters start with. Could leave it to 0, could make it a negative number to force people to select a disability, or a positive number to give people some "free perks". I already understand perks are being balanced and some are better than others, but that isnt what this suggestion is about. I just think there should be a server option that gives us the ability to positively or negatively effect the kinds of characters in our world.
