  1. You know you play PZ too much when you scratch yourself doing yard work, rush inside, douse it with whisky and wrap it in a bandage.
  2. I have been following this for a few months now. A post on the Shard Online thread actually brought me here. As an old UO player (1997-99 or so), and am eagerly watching the development of this game, hoping to one day create an role-play server based on the original lore of the single player Ulima, with my own little touches here and there. Definitely my favorite series and lore. I began with RunUO, and got pretty close (just need a few tweaks, here and there), but never released it.

  5. Early in, I decided to sleep in the upstairs portion of a large house, without a sheet rope for escape. I did not l know about those yet...or that you shouldn't sleep in the upstairs of houses without one, of course. I likewise forgot to close the door to the room, though the door to the house was closed. I seem to recall hearing breaking glass just before nodding off. I woke up to a massive hoard of them. Armed with only a single golf club, I started swinging. For some reason I cannot recall, I had opened one of the windows, and every other zombie I hit would go flying out the window, only to get up again and reenter the house through the broken window below. It was ridiculously comical. Finally, the golf club broke and they ate me.

  7. Well . . . that proves it froze over once, I guess? Not very definitive for the modern day, though. Indeed, that is why I posted it. The incidents of it freezing over are few, and it would not be consistent, realistically (if we are going for realism), for it to do so repeatedly. Perhaps sporadically, over a period of decades, or longer, but that hardly seems worth coding..... Smaller streams and such, perhaps, but I have not been playing long and am not aware of any.

  9. Discovered it through a post on the Shards Online forum.
  10. I just stumbled upon and bought this game a week or so ago, and I have to say that it is enormously entertaining. I love the retro, isometric style, the open-ended game play, and, best of all, it is about zombies (oh, I forgot to mention the perma-death/no save!). You have really captured the ominous feeling of the apocalypse, from the ever-present, inevitable threat of death, to the music, to the scavenging and minutia of survival. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but the single player game is perfect. You have my heart-felt thanks and I eagerly await all the upcoming additions and updates (most especially the addition of NPC survivors, which will enrich the possibilities, esp. in single player, to no end).
