Some great changes, good to see the game coming along!  

I purchased a server with citadelservers and they got my server working for me no problem. I honestly don't know much about this kind of stuff and I didn't do much other then set up the Graphical editors. They also had the Vehicles beta there as well! Highly advise them if you are looking at hosting your own server.

Yes, you certainly can install mods, either workshop mods or legacy, we have guides on how to do both. As for Custom maps, we support this as well, you have full root access to your server, your world, your rules.

We're all set and support the latest IWBUMS build and it's steam Intergration, we have you covered Dr Cox.

 We have updated our Project Zomboid Configuration to have two methods of backup, firstly, before a Steam update of Project Zomboid is started,
your world will be backed up, protecting it from any effects a steam update to your server.
 Secondly, we have introduced a Game Save Slot system, you can save up to 100 saves and load one at any time, simply click "Quick Backup" Enter in a number for your slot and execute it. 
It will then proceed to backup your world. This can then be restored with "Quick Restore", enter in the number for the backup, and it will restore your backup.

Backups can also be scheduled to be backed and restored too, You could generate one world, create a save slot and then schedule it to be restored every week 
providing a clean slate when the world gets stale.
