  1. In Madame Tussmashs collection would there be models of the famous Indie Stone team?
  2. Are there plans for shallow water? The sort of depth you can walk in/across like streams and the edges of rivers/lake etc. It would be nice to see more streams etc. but with no way to cross them I guess they would be annoying barriers.
  3. It will be cool if the barbell can be used as a makeshift sledgehammer.
  4. Not sure how it currently works but they could have it so that the faster the zombies move, the more ravenous they sound. So a slow plodding zombie moans and a running zombie is full on ravenous growling! I imagine this is how it is anyway but it just needs some fine tuning???
  5. The gargling death howls as they choke on their own blood are very nice.
  6. And when you don't want to be a polite Neighbour you could do zombie thumping. Just to freak them out!
  7. The animations are looking great. I would say that the up swing with the machete looks a bit odd. Simply because you would mostly be hacking down at the head of a zombie. But it might just be a veiw point thing?

    Zed Snacking

I think that the feasting zombies should become less common after the first week. For example it would be odd to see zombies eating the same body for weeks on end! Only relatively fresh body's should attract zombies. Also will body's be reduced to skeletons after being eaten? Can we use human bones as weapons or tools? Can we take skulls as trophies? Is Skeletor going to be in the game? If we kill a dragon (once they are added to the game) then plant the teeth, will they grow into warrior skeletons?

    Videoid

That's a really good point! There needs to be a system to make the spawns become more random over time but with exceptions for the prison etc. This would represent natural zombie movement. Then if an area is cleared the spawn logic might need to change to more random or generic zombies.
  10. Other uses- Thinning down groups of zombies. A group of 5 to 10 zombies is a nice big target. Slings have a very long range so you could pick away at a group from a safe distance. Scaring off wolves. Used to keep hungry wildlife away without needing to hit or kill it. Noise distraction. Used to smash windows and hit doors, cars, walls, etc. To create noise that will attract zombies. After 6 - 12 months of daily sling use doing the above things. I imagine hunting would become a more realistic option?
  11. I like the idea of having a random apocalypse option. You choose 'Random Apocalypse' You choose your difficulty And your dropped into the game! Everything is random.... So you don't know what your up against or what's going on. Also it would be cool if the random settings randomly changed every now and then. More randomness yay!
  12. After reading all of the posts on that link it appears they all have different opinions. I don't feel like it is evidence of slings being good or bad for hunting. I think the problem is that people just don't do a lot of hunting with slings. In modern times people use slings for fun because we have guns and modern bows for hunting.
  13. I have no experience hunting with a sling. But I agree that killing a deer would be hard. You would probably need to get a good clean head hit. To be honest I don't know?!?
  14. Slings have been widely used throughout history for hunting and fighting. I'm NOT talking about a slingshot / hand catapult etc. Just think of a stone the size of your fist hitting a deer in the head at very high speed. It's going to do some serious damage! I think the best things about the sling is that it is relatively portable and has an endless supply of ammo / stones / projectiles. If you're walking in the woods going from A to B and you seen a rabbit. Have a shot at it with the sling. You will probably miss but it doesn't matter. You haven't made any noise or wasted any bullets or arrows.
  15. The more options the better. I think different play styles, characters & situations suite different methods of collecting food.
  16. The traditional Zomboid killing weapons (axe, baseball bat, knife, gun, etc.) are not great for hunting in the apocalypse. Hand to hand melee weapons all lack the range because wild stuff runs away! Although the exception to this rule is domesticated animals. Guns are really noisy and turn you from predator to prey rather quickly. So some new weapons are going to be needed. (hopefully!?!?) Javelin Long thin shaft with spiky bit on one end. Like a spear but able to be thrown and breaks easily if used for fighting. Sling Two bit of cord attached to a pouch, Used to kill giants among other things. Both quiet to use and relatively easy to make. (compared to a bow) Both require skill to use but have been around for a while now. So must be OK? Also! Stuff normally runs away before dying if it can. So some kind of tracking is a must! Stuff can make a lot of noise as it dies. So using a silent weapon isn't completely safe! Also! Also! The best thing to hunt with is probably a modern bow / crossbow. (But whats the fun in that?)
  17. You could also use a wool blanket to do all the stuff that you can do with a sheet. Sheet rope, cover windows, ect.
  18. Short term happiness management could affect how quickly you learn the skills to survive the apocalypse. So being unhappy will cause you to level up slowly. But being happy will speed things up. Mid-Long term should be sanity management. Basically trying to avoid going crazy and having a mental breakdown.
  19. A Wool Blanket is a very good survival item with many uses. Sleeping aid Lie on/under for comfort and warmth. Use as a makeshift sleeping bag. Clothing Can be used as a cloak or poncho. Scratch and bite resistant. Storage Can be used as a bag. Shelter Can be use to create a 'lean-to'. **Naturally water proof and fire retardant** With the new weather and clothes on the way etc. it would be very nice to use a blanket to- Put on a bed for warmth while sleeping. Wear as a cloak for warmth and protection from the rain. Use as a bag It would also possibly be cool to use as a sleeping bag or shelter but that might be a bit too much? Down sides to wool Heavy (especially when wet) Itchy When worn like a cloak you will be laughed at because you want to be a medieval warrior...
  20. Cool, I didn't know that the Fire department were using them back in the 90s Technically I guess that you could use them as a kind of noisy sledgehammer. (not that smashing stuff with a sledgehammer is quiet!)
  21. Cut-off Saw We are getting a Chainsaw to cut wood and heads. I would like a Cut-off saw to cut metal and heads. ‘An abrasive saw, also known as a cut-off saw or chop saw, is a power tool which is typically used to cut hard materials, such as metals, tile, and concrete. The cutting action is performed by an abrasive disc, similar to a thin grinding wheel. Technically speaking this is not a saw, as it does not use regularly shaped edges (teeth) for cutting.’ ^ From Wikipedia They can be found on most construction sites and road works. They can cut through metal. (and everything else) They look badass! I think they could work just like the chainsaw but instead of cutting wood it cuts metal. You could chop your way through - Metal bars, like in jail. Player built metal structures. Metal fences. Garage doors. Any sort of locked door. Cars etc. I also think that warehouses should all have metal bars over the windows and metal doors. At the moment its far too easy to get into the warehouses. They could also have metal shutters over the windows and doors, just anything to make them harder to get into.
  22. I always end up getting bite/scratched by crawlers popping straight into an attack. I personally blame my play style because I know that it happens but i continue to do the same stupid things that cause it to happen. But I do find it really annoying! I hit a zombie and it drops straight to the ground without staggering backward. It then jumps into an attack the moment it hits the ground. Normally this is not a problem because i'm moving backwards with my guard-up (ready to swing) and the attack misses or gets blocked. If when the zombie falls I take a second swing then I get bite/scratched. This normally happens when i'm fighting 3 or more zombies and i don't back up after attacking. I do think that the crawler attack is too fast and it seems to have a really long range. It does seem odd that the most dangerous zombies is a crawler. It could be nice if there was a brief animation added before the attack or just a slight delay from when a zombies hits the ground before it can attack.
  23. large vehicles make lots of noise, use up loads of fuel, are harder to repair and less maneuverable. it should be possible to balance up the positives and negatives.
