  1. Oh hell yes. I would love merch. I need Spiffo everything.

    Hats

I want a tiara forged from the bones of a thousand dead zombies. Painted pink. Imagine the sheer horror of seeing someone running at you in multiplayer with a tiara and dress. And an axe.
  3. You can edit the hair texture, but it will only affect the client-side, other people will see you with normal hair in MP. I've been considering doing a few textures to change the look of my character since I usually play SP. I want to be a pretty princess. In a zombie apocalypse. I can't be the only one that finds that last statement a bit disturbing. I rule over my kingdom in the ruins of the world. A vast horde of dead bodies, blood, and destroyed buildings. And pink. Mostly pink.

  5. I usually play female with long 2. Sometimes short 2 if I want to go for that Carol Peletier look. Don't really play male. Sadly there is no option for pink hair and frilly dresses in character creation. Yet. Only issue I have with the female models is that they tend to clip with clothing during certain animations, even common ones like the combat stance and running. Hopefully with the animation change in build 32 that'll get fixed or improved.
  6. Yeah. An NPC has the potential to get killed in a lot of silly ways when you're offline no matter how good the AI. I'd rather just get looted when I was offline then come back dead or almost dead because the NPC messed something up. What if another player went there but didn't want to loot you? What would happen then? Would your NPC initiate combat to defend their place? I don't really see any good solutions to being raided when you're offline yet. It is, in my opinion, unrealistic and unfair, but so are a lot of proposed ways to help even it out and make it less so.
  7. I support this. Especially given I often make my character Carol Peletier. Just look at the cookies, Sam.
  8. Yeah. I'm not totally sure if it'd be outright fatal in most cases, as usually there's not enough fluoride in toothpaste, but it certainly would be very bad for your health and almost definitely cause you to vomit, which pretty much eliminates any help the hunger reduction would give you. Even without any fluoride the stuff is still not good to ingest. Maybe it could be used as a cake ingredient. Get bit? Make yourself a cake with toothpaste filling and wash it down with some bleach, then go on a shotgun rampage. Delicious. I don't think we can really consider vomit a valid point considering you can drink an entire container of bleach haha Well, the bleach does kill ya. I could see toothpaste being another edible item that acts as a much more mild poison, however. Could just give you a sickness variant or something like that. Could be used as a poison in food maybe? Would need a 100% chance of noticing, though. Even if you can't directly see it in food, you're gonna taste it as you bite in and probably before you swallow and it can do anything to you. Then again, the same goes for some other existing poisons which, I believe, have a chance of not being detected. When the zombie apocalypse comes I'll probably just use toothpaste tube caps as currency. Makes more sense than Fallouts bottlecaps considering the amount of noise they must make. I'll fashion a toothpaste gun and squirt it at my enemies, then lick the end of the gun clean and fall over dead. A rugged survivor dramatically walks into a bathroom, their face covered in blood and sweat, a grizzled expression on their face. Suddenly, they notice something. A toothbrush and toothpaste. "Oh god, it's been months since I've been able to brush my teeth..." The simple things really do bring joy nowadays. Reminders of the Old World. Before everything went to hell. Before the Infection. He turns the sink on, picks up the toothbrush, and squirts out some toothpaste. He smiles and runs the toothbrush under the water for several seconds and begins to brush his teeth. Suddenly, from the shower behind him emerges one of the Infected. Seeing it in the mirror, he draws his axe in less than a second, taking off the monstrosity's head with one clean blow. That is when it happened. He accidentally swallowed a drop of toothpaste. "Oh God, no..." he mutters to himself. But it's too late now. It's already begun. This is the end. Remember kids, don't ever brush your teeth in the apocalypse. No need to worry about keeping your teeth from rotting, anyway! If your teeth rot, they can't eat rotten food. As such, you're obviously much safer!
  9. I love this game and I love the devs. Got it a bit after it went on steam and I've loved it since. Hundreds of hours played at this point. Mondoids are great, there are consistent updates, devs are friendly, and you can make a stir fry entirely out of ramen noodles if you want. Also, this is a strange one but I want to thank whoever put in the option to change the volume of heartbeat sounds. I have a pretty severe fear of hearbeats to the point where I cannot even take my own pulse without starting to freak out, and hearing them terrifies me. And not in the good "horror game" sort of way. Project Zomboid is, without a doubt, one of the best games I have ever played. Spiffo is my waifu.

  12. I used to feel like that but I changed with time. It seems annoying at first that something like that ruins all your work but in the end, I feel it adds to the "Roguelite" experience. Death is an important part of the game and is something that drives people to do everything they can to survive. They say "There was no hope of survival" in the intro to the game, but the fact is, there is. There is always the possibility to survive one day longer. Even though all the food may spoil, and the nonperishables will dwindle, there are ways of finding more. The winters will be harsh, but survivable. Bites are like that. There's always a chance. The odds may be stacked against you, but there is still that tiny chance of survival. On servers especially I find it's important that they make sure you don't keep a portion of traits on death. If someone had very high or maxxed out combat skills, they go into the apocalypse already doing significantly better than any other newspawn. It gives them too much of an advantage in the next life. Let's say someone maxxed carpentry, and gets skill level 4 in their next life from out of 10. This immediately makes them have more skill than someone who spent points to get handy or carpenter. Make it lower than four and it's not really worth anything since it's easy to reach those levels with a little work. Additionally, the skill points required to level skills would basically be ignored. If you want to play without infection, though, that's fine. There's nothing wrong with that, no matter what "Hardcore" players may say. It's a game for you to enjoy. Based on what you said, I'd recommend trying sandbox with infection disabled, potentially slightly stronger zombies to counter that, and maybe a higher multiplier for skill gain if you find them tedious to level.
