You can change your start date if you want to see winter easily. Sleep also erodes time quite quickly. I only play an hour  a day on my lunch break and im getting through the days fairly quickly.
the year length though was decided before the weather build. and the community asked for 365 days to keep it realistic.

Sleeping is disabled by default in the online multiplayer sandbox settings, but it can be enabled. Sleeping moves at normal time until everyone on the server is sleeping at once at which point it speeds up like in single player.

Some of you are more than likely already aware Mark Brown has a recent video discussing skill trees. I watched it today and thought it was relevant to this topic. Forgive me if I'm mistaken but I feel some of his views mirror the points you're raising @nasKo.

On one hand, I can see why TIS have forced us to choose which skills to assign points to, in order to create replayability where each playthrough can be different dependent on what skills you level up first. But it doesn't make sense. It should be that skills level up automatically once you have enough experience in that field, and if you want your game experience to be different than the last then you should be forced to adjust your style, rather than just arbitrarily clicking another box in the skill tree.

Maybe the main skills in the game could only be levelled up through discipline XP and skill points can be used to gain extra perks? The perks could also be lost again, kind of like how you can go from fit to overweight and the game could even assign negative perks based on your actions (smoke too many cigarettes, become dependent). I dunno, I'm just spitballing but theres definitely some improvements and new avenues that could be explored.

The current system is by no means the worst I've experienced. TIS already do a good job by not allowing us to unlock everything in a single playthrough and make us gain XP in a particular skill before we can level it up. It's just the process of assigning of points that could use a bit of TLC IMO.

Also consolidating large numbers of items could benefit from this.

If it is possible, I would like to see a "last action" feature. So when you eat a berry(or any other action that has a repetitive process) instead of going through the right click> eat>all motion, maybe it could be possible if "E" or even another key could be a "last action"  option. So if you do the right click>eat>all right after instead of repeating mouse method, you just press "E" and your character will just eat another berry.
Would make eating berries, foraged edibles and other things a little quicker to do.

There are so many things this could be used for as well.

-Foraging you could set your list to forage so say you right click>foraging and uncheck a couple of boxes, you can then just push "E" to continue foraging for the list you have set. If you wanted to forage for a new set list just have to right click and check/uncheck the boxes you want to forage for.

-Cooking- as long as all the items needed are present once making a bowl of salad instead of using mouse method you can just press "E" to continue making the same dish(only if needed items are present).

-Cutting down trees- after cutting down one tree with mouse method, all that would be needed for next would be to simply walk over to next tree and press "E".

-Filling water bottles- as long as you have empty bottles in inventory, fill a bottle with mouse method and then every empty bottle after could be filled by pressing "E" as long as the water source is present and empty bottles are available.

-Filling gas cans-right click>fill gas can and then there after as long as gas is available and have empty gas cans in inventory press "E" to continue the action.

These are just some of the actions I could think of at the moment.

Well, we all saw those movies with competent craftmen moving windows panes that the star end-up going through during a chase... or at least I asume they are competent and it's not only for comedic effect.

Joke aside. I understand that it's a bit weird for a master craftmen to break 7 windows while disabling them. 1 out 7, maybe (if that). Those are the guys that know how to remove the frame carefully instead of jolting it out.

As for the full windows in the second post, those require more then CARPENTRY in my book, they require metalworking since they are indeed (in most probability) a metal frame in some stonework-ish (masonry/accrylic).

On a side unrelated note : STONEWORK

The liquid variable weight is a relatively new feature (it used to not exist at all).

I agree it could be expanded in due time

(edit : it also currently apply to solid fuel such as coal unless I'm mistaken… they added fuel + water at the same time)

Not sure it's doable in practice due to the diffrence between alternative current (what kitchen appliance use) and direct current (what batteries provide).

In theory there are inverters that can achieve that, but I figure it comes at a loss of efficacity.

Even without factoring the loss of efficacity, the 12V of the battery would be a limiting factor for appliances that use 110V (all of them) or 220V (oven). This would mean that to reach the power output of those appliances (in Watts or Kilowatts), you'd need 9.17 or 18.33 time the amps, increasing the risk of overheating, shorts and just generaly draining your batteries more quickly.
