  1. Quick question, the answer might be out there but maybe someone already know it. Are saves from 38.30 compatible with build 39.67.5?
  2. No need, it's part of the challenge on this unique twist on word association I got to admit that I can't usualy place the first word that comes to my mind when I answer, I usualy need to eliminate a couple words until I find the right one.
  3. N and A are common to both words
  4. Toy -> Granville (as in Granville Island Toy Company)
  5. Technicaly, Compete is an invalid entry because it contains one of the letter of the word before it. Thus, the last valid entry should be "Play"
  6. A picture is worth a thousand words. Roof tiles are the only ones that won't loose their snow texture once something is built overhead (wood floors). All other tiles don't behave this way : grass, dirt, sand, gravel, asphalt, floors, etc It makes for some strange sights For now, the solution is simple enough : build wood floors over the roofs. However, I suggest a change to them in the medium to long run.
  7. I don't know for sure, because I have my settings on instant infection/kill so I never see a bite on my character. I can theorize and other may confirm or give other info, but bite may be treated as a form of "deep wound" (hence they have a great chance of infection). To confirm that, make a test and use a suture needle or a needle and some thread to stitch the wound. If that works, then it's only a matter of time until it heals (you'll notice when you remove a bandage, if any, that the stitch goes from "need time" to "good", once that happen remove the stitch and apply a bandage on the resulting scratch). Hope this help
  8. Exactly, like all other broadcast it would eventually die down. Seems a lot of work as TheWraitPlayer hinted, for a very limited duration of effect. I'd rather see one or more meteorologist traits (or a relevant skill) and new items to mesure atmospheric pressure, humidity and temperature so that the player could have a chance to guess how the weather will change in the near future.
  9. In the long run, as to where loyalties lie I'm on you with this (human vs AI)… as to shooting in the face, AI aggressive response might do that quickly enough. The trick in human relations is not the initial response, which is almost always "mild" (from guarded reservation to "ok, let's check these guys out"). The trick is on how it evolves according to human interactions, this does need a lot of fine tuning if it want to boast any sort of : we have a decent AI. Of course, open agression will always be met with one of two things : Fight or Flee. (edit : and I dare say, if they are smart survivors, odds are they'll flee more often then they'll fight).
  10. FYI, unless I'm mistaken, OP jumped ship 2 pages ago (right after getting feedback from devs and moderator). I do love to dissect a topic and point out what I feel is lacking, but at this point it seems like we're all discussing in a circle. Keep you energy for the next such topic, make notes and refine your ideas, stay strong friends
  11. My underline, it's true that some rural homes have really long drive way In this instance, here's my parent's home (and incidentally another pitch at boat related constructions/loot). The total land has about 1000 feet deep, so I figure the driveway is about 750 feet or close to it.
  12. Marina and boat shops : these exist in real life around Kentucky https://www.google.ca/search?q=Boat+Stores+kentucky&npsic=0&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=37960097,-84502981,106586&tbm=lcl&ved=0ahUKEwjFy9vu2MnbAhWBzVkKHQVYCpkQtgMIMg&tbs=lrf:!2m1!1e3!3sIAE,lf:1,lf_ui:4&rldoc=1#rldoc=1&rlfi=hd:;si:;mv:!1m3!1d3320647.644399592!2d-83.52091908742716!3d38.35474668317019!3m2!1i1260!2i796!4f13.1&spf=1528654256057 Edit : They could have, beside gas and batteries, the following items : Fishing supply (obviously); High grade ropes (for mooring and sails); Sails, for now it could be a secondary Tarp source; Solar panels (most sailboat use them to recharge batteries, motor boat can as well but usually the motor itself is enough); (small) Wind turbine (most sailboat use them to recharge batteries, motor boat usually don't use them unless they are low speed boats); Water purification devices (such as turning salt water into soft water, usually more frequent on the coast but a low chance for custom order in mainland); Small electronics (radios, GPS, etc.); Maps; Air horn, whistles (useful for attracting zombies, or distracting them); More clutter : various nautical themed items, flotation devices, etc. … and if boats become a thing : BOATS!
  13. Not sure it's doable in practice due to the diffrence between alternative current (what kitchen appliance use) and direct current (what batteries provide). In theory there are inverters that can achieve that, but I figure it comes at a loss of efficacity. Even without factoring the loss of efficacity, the 12V of the battery would be a limiting factor for appliances that use 110V (all of them) or 220V (oven). This would mean that to reach the power output of those appliances (in Watts or Kilowatts), you'd need 9.17 or 18.33 time the amps, increasing the risk of overheating, shorts and just generaly draining your batteries more quickly.
  14. Yes, that's the chair. I can't get the last two rotation option. So far that's the only time I noticed this issue.
  15. From the information I could gather, most cleaning tips involving mold and mildew involve bases (meaning a positive PH level). Milk is also a base. Obviously, bleach is paramount and I've personally used it to clean an appartement bathroom I moved in once (the bath was horrible, but a little toilet paper spread about and dowsed in bleach made short work of it). Bleach might be however too strong. Baking soda might work, it's also a very potent cleaning product and a very safe one. I don't believe it exist in game so it would need to be put in. Hydrogen peroxyde is another common household product that might work, but again, it does not exist in game. Dish soap maybe? That would give a use for those numerous items.
  16. As far as I know, you can use rotten milk in the farming recipe without any ill effect. The status fresh, stale and rotten mostly has an impact on cooking Edit : Oh, I realize you might have been talking about the finite number of milk items. That's an interesting idea to have an alternate ressource you could use instead. I'll do some research and get back to you on that
  17. I can't be bothered to look for a very old thread, but I distinctly remember about this being discussed a long time ago. Possible locations for those were : road construction site, marina/boat sales place (my suggestion) and possibly other such as electronic and hardware stores. Edit : On the topic of marina/boat sales place I made numerous suggestions in the past including high grade ropes (you know, for mooring and sails), water treatment, small portable wind turbine (you'll see them on most sailboat), solar panel, batteries, fuel, etc. (including GPS and various electronics). I even made back then a small search in google about know country and found about 4-5 such places in real life.
  18. I'm moving furniture and I've come across two Modern White Chair that can't rotate in all direction. They can only rotate from their original direction (facing east) to an alternate direction (facing south). It's a bit of a shame because I wanted them to face west It's in build 38.30. Here are the maps coordinate of those chairs : https://map.projectzomboid.com/?desc=Survival_Build38L0#0.8723836036226339,0.24998873649017778,590.6682291542426
  19. You can already wash clothes that have been bloodied or soiled. This might be perfected with animation to show visible signs of blood/soil. I beleive this will be the only addition as "personal hygiene" was tagged with a no in this thread : https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192-commonly-suggested-suggestions/
  20. First off, congratulation on searching first Second off, great idea, I fully support a 8 direction auto-walk/run feature! (let's call it "auto-move") On a last note, did you knew there was a way to toggle run on/off while moving? This is already great but would go even better with an auto-move feature. To toggle auto-run, so to speak, you have to go in the menu for gameplay and check the option to have run toggled on/off. From that point, you'll get to run or walk by a press of the run key (shift by default)... for now, we only have to press direction. Again, I fully support a 8 direction auto-move feature
  21. There is always one factor people that brings the argument you're bringing always forget. I'm glad however that you considered taxes and other fees that would lessen your rough figure of 6 and a eight million revenu because that is important as well at some point in the maths. Also, you have to take into account the double taxation effect on corporation and dividends as well as integration mechanism that alleviate part of that effect (in effect, the company's profit is taxed yearly, then it's taxed when it comes out as dividends to the shareholders a second time with a usually partial credit to account for the first yearly taxation). One very important factor that people almost always forget in the equation, the one that's almost always the most significant expense during development is : salaries. People don't work for free full time for years, and we can't assume that they are all shareholders or partner living on the promisse of cash to come. So there are always very significant yearly puncture to account for salaries in EA titles. In non-EA titles this is part of the development budget that has to be balanced against estimated sales so it will return a profit... sadly this often result in products being shipped before they'd be fully ready due to budget limits, requiring numerous post release patches and in some case DOA products that'll never be finished. But in the case of EA titles where the funding does not come (mostly) from investors, but rather a form of crowd funding, yearly sales have to provide the budget for development. Now, this being said, let's go back to the maths and "forget" other factor like licences, hardware, utility (electricity, water, etc.) and rent. Let's just take that big chunk of money that are salaries. Let's assume we are talking about a fairly small team of 15 people, for simplification purposes. Let's also assume that each cost roughly 50K/year (including mandatory fringe benefits, I don't know about the US but here part of the taxation from the government is in the form of programs that employers need to contribute to based on their salary mass). That'd be 0.75 millions per year or an estimated 5.25 millions of expenses for the duration you mentioned. Now a bigger team might get things done in a shorter period, but, without financing or investors, that might not always be an option. Even without factoring licences, hardware, utility, rent or yearly taxes, that only leave 0.875 millions over 7 years. In reality, it's probably more of a daily struggle to make ends meet then we'll ever know. Regardless, they keep on adding content at a pace I'll simply not discuss without having real hard data to compare (as opposed to assumptions).
