Well, if you go sleep in SP you can say how long you want to sleep WITHOUT an Alert Clock. I think its only be possible with an clock without you just sleep until the moodle go away or so.
    Edit:
    I mean the Alarm clock.

This is genuinely something I've been pushing for ever since the 'Kate incident' in the 0.1.5d demo.

lerk reacted to Fuzzy Wolfy in [Wolfy's] Moodlet & Trait Suggestions
So, ever since Build 31's release, I've been extremely pleased with how many more traits and occupations there now are. Compared to earlier builds, this is a much more balanced and fleshed out means of creating a character who's pros and cons align themselves pretty accurately with their profession. I, myself, was guilty of choosing the Construction Worker or Ranger profession during the earlier builds due to Thick Skin/Builder and Outdoorsman being pretty overpowered, at least when compared to things like Night Owl - when Sleep was not even properly implemented, yet.

So anyway, this is just a small list of things I've come up with. I've based the suggestions off of my own observations, so obviously they're far from perfect, nor do I think they're properly balanced. That being said, I'm not looking for these to be implemented as is, nor do I really expect anything to be done with these ideas-- I'm really just trying to give the Zomboid Devs some food for thought and ideas for future additions. I already love what they're doing, so I'm more than confident that - regardless of my input - the future bulds (like 32) will be equally as amazing.

But enough of that. Onto the list!

Firstly, some traits. These were the easiest to come up with due to how the game currently functions. Some traits have no counterpart, whilst other factors seem to have not been tapped, as of yet. There's a lot of potential, is what I mean.

    Moving on to something of similar note, I only have one new idea for an Occupation, as well as a suggestion for a pre-existing one;

    Lastly, some moodles... Simple stuff;

Congratulations Indie Stone forum member. You have been promoted to official tester of Project Zomboid.

As such, you will now have access, if you should so desire, to much more frequent, but likely or potentially much more broken versions of the game, if indeed this is of interest to you.

So say hello to the 'iwillbackupmysave' branch of PZ. This will be updated with builds as soon as we feel we can safely make them public, to aid us in finding remaining issues before it is rolled out to eveyone.

Anyone who wants to share details on how to get on this branch, please respect our wishes and forward people to this post and insist it is read in full before any downloading commences.

Before participating, please read the following bullet-points and scream I AGREE at the top of your voice at the screen:

I accept by playing the game on this branch, at some point I am almost certainly going to hit crippling bugs, and potentially lose progress or worlds. I will therefore back up any saves I deem important (located in C:/Users/<Username>/Zomboid on windows systems, HD:/Users/<Username>/Zomboid on Mac, and /home/<Username>/Zomboid/ on linux. I will not get angry or complain of any bugs, or balance, or changes, or remark that 'this build is more buggy than the last one!' or similar - That is the entire reason it's on this branch. If I have problems with the final build as released to the main branch, then of course a bad review is perfectly valid if the game has not lived up to my expectations. However, I accept that negative reviews with justification based on the stability, or otherwise non-final status of IWBUMS builds will be justifiably flagged. If I encounter problems, I will either wait until the final build, or discuss my thoughts and concerns civilly on the forums so the final build has the opportunity to address my concerns. I will title my streams and/or videos accordingly, stating that the shown build is a work in progress and part of the IWBUMS beta branch. I know what the console log is, and on the event of a crash I know to post the text therein on this forum, and not just say 'it crashed!' Right. We good?

Right click Project Zomboid in your Steam library and select "Properties". Navigate to the Steam Beta tab and select the "iwillbackupmysave" beta branch from the dropdown.

    No password is required.

    GIF Instruction for Steam:

For Build 41, it does not matter if you subscribe to the "build41" beta or "iwillbackupmysave". The two are identical.

    GIF Instructions for GOG Galaxy:

The Linux users of GOG will be able to access beta branches through the offline installers in the Downloads section for PZ in your library.

The IWBUMS branch allows us to have much wider and faster feedback on general updates, while allowing us to concentrate on wider more in-depth, focused and crucially less time-pressured/demanding testing with the testing team. Hurrah!
          Extra reading
Still here? Awesome! So, if you run into a bug, the best thing to do is to either report it on our bug forum. If you've a spare 10 minutes, give this a read. It explains how to report problems in a way that can let us help you easily. (Seriously, please read it. Please. Pretty please. With Pink sugar icing on top.)

If you can, always post your console.txt file. On Windows, you can find this in C:\Users\Username\Zomboid (Where Username is your windows username). On Mac and Linux it'll be in your /home/username/Zomboid/ folder.

lerk got a reaction from Arturius in chainsaw (as tool)
Im VERY sure that was suggested by someone.
If chainsaw will be in, you better use them as Tool, for sawing and logging trees. If you use chainsaws as weapen, they are not so effectiv because they are for chopping trees not for Heads
2th if you attack a zed there is a very high chance that infected Blood Splatter flys on you and if your unlucky it will maybe infect you.
For chopping trees its very effectiv but also loud if you in the near of a city.
Maybe it can saw down wooden buildings.

I like the Game very and buyed a while ago and watched his progress,
but i was always interested on the zombie virus, he is transmited (normaly)
With body liquids (blood..) so are bloodsplatter a danger like bittes.
So a splatter flys in to your Eye or Mouth (some kind of Chance)
And if your unlucky the infected blood goes in the body and your infected!
If your remove the splatter nothing happens. The same for clothing Form Zeds
Maybe they habe bitten and some blood is in the clothing and wear it and your have a wound witch is not bandaged it will be infected.
Or a Zed fell in your collector and the collector is full with water, the water is wasted.
Sorry for bad English, im from german

lerk reacted to SIGILODARK in deep forest and scratches? ( bosque profundo y rasguños?)
would be nice if running Entering the deep forests, these cause we scratches caused by branches, for example if you run into the woods increase the chances to 40% alos scratches and infection as occurs when entering the windows with broken glass, to counteract the scratches caused by branches of the trees that the occupation of a worker who has thick skin, could prevent 15% of raguños running in the deep forest,

    that seems my suggestion?
