  1. Holy Cow! Thanks for the detailed explanation, was an interesting read and once more showed me why I wouldn't want to be a programmer... Well done! I really hope that everything is going to work out as you planned for PZ. I am sure though, that you will achieve the result that you want, no matter what hurdles might show up still. Cheers!
  2. Dunno if you want to try this , back up your existing mapScripts.lua file in your "media/lua" folder, extract new lua from the zip in link.. I only changed a few things, made everything more remote, reduced starting and indoor zombies and greatly reduced the zombie attractiveness by grid.. Replacement mapScripts.lua Edit: This is actually what I use when I play , I just never posted it 'till now. Wow, now that was fast... Thanks a lot dude, will try it right away!
  3. Hey again everyone, since we have such a nice community with so much skilled modders and such, I was wondering if there would be a potential workaround for the "pile of zombies on doorstep"-problem? Wouldn't it be possible to just delete some stuff in a certain folder to disable the zombie-migration completely? I'd really love to play some more PZ but this issue totally spoils it for me and thats why I am asking. I still want them to behave like they do in general, like tending to move more when its raining and such, though. Would be really amazing if anyone would know how to do that, just as a workaround until the next version is released.
  4. Since the Steam Beta version is pretty stable, the only thing that could spoil the fun for newer players imho is the "Horde-on-your-doorstep-after-3-days"-thing since you cannot lure them away or otherwise get rid of them. Another nice-to-have thing would be a notification like a pop-up in windows that tells you to upgrade/install your Java in case the game fails to start due to that.
  5. Got the BETA on Steam activated and didn't even try the non-beta release before, BUT its stable and it didn't crash even once. Played for exactly 24H since I added it on steam and as I said. No crash in the entire time. Maybe change the Steam version to use the current Steam BETA as default instead? It really seems pretty stable. Running the game in Fullscreen @ 1440x900 @ Win7 64-Bit - Java Version 7 Update 40 (Build 1.7.0_40-b43)
