Greetings ladies and gentlemen!
My name is sir.twiggy and I am a twitch TV streamer / youtuber. I write here today in the hopes of attracting the interest of the mapping community at large! I plan on hosting a humongious project zomboid multiplayer server with world wrap. I'm attempting to gather talented people from the mapping community and integrate their work into this project. In the end the map will consist of several contenents, islands, many different terrain types, cities, towns, villages, rivers, lakes, mountains, and more spread across the entire map. The aspect of world wrap is of great importance to the project so that there will never be a map edge, just a mountain, ocean, or some other obsticle preventing easy access, but can still be overcome.
At the moment I am doing massive amounts of planning and approaching specific individuals in an attempt to integrate already existing community created content into the project.
However, if anybody has specific suggestions, requests, or would like to volunteer their help; please reply in this thread, pm me, or send me an email @ sir.twiggy.white@gmail.com.
I am very easy to get along with and I'm eager for submissions! If you want to make a specific area, city, forest, desert, or whatever, go for it! I will personally look at all submissions and we can all work as a group to create the ULTIMATE project zomboid multiplayer map!
In the end I hope to host the server for massive amounts of players. I would love to reach the point where we have dozens of separate player factions spread all across a massive and dynamic world map.
I know this is ambitious but with help from the community I truly believe we can have a one of a kind player experience!

The only thing I could say to a "cure" is that it shouldn't exist. I do, however, like the idea of being able to prolong the inevitable with some sort of mixture of drugs.

For example; You're bitten and you know you're infected. So, in a last ditch effort to mix some chemicals that do slow the infection rate, but not end it (giving you an extra week or so).

I dunno why you would need another week, maybe you need to return some important supplies to your group (like your group running low on water/food and you finding quite a bit of it, weeks worth, and you want to put that last bit of good karma in before the 'fat lady sings').

I was dressed as a cranky middle aged man in a house coat handing out candy and complaining about having to leave my hearthstone match. There was oodles of left over candy, I became much less disgruntled!

I got one.
Will cities get more dirty and represent that the outbreak already happened?
I noticed people mentioning that the map still seems too clean or not grim enough for the setting and I kinda agree.

I notice that nobody has yet mentioned that you can find saws, hammers, screwdrivers, etc in peoples sheds / garages and on the grated metal shelves that are sometimes hung in closets or in random rooms in houses. More than once I've had a happy quick start because of one shelf or garage!

So you've probably already noticed that these forums look different and have fewer posts than the old forums. We've moved to newer and funkier forum software and are now in the process of customising it all in an Indie Stone-y kind of way.
 
So expect changes periodically as we fiddle with stuff.
 
A couple of things to note:
 
You will need to re-register to post here - we were, unfortunately, unable to transfer users across. We also haven't been able to transfer old posts. The original forum can still be accessed here if you want to repost something, or need access to information posted there. But we're very happy with this new forum software (try it on a mobile phone! Woo! Swanky!) and look forward to getting everything polished and lovely.
