Crossbow7734 got a reaction from Axezombie in More Musical Instruments (this could be very useful!)
Why on Earth would you use a musical instrument to hit zombies, besides having no alternative weapons?
In terms of instruments I hope we could use them to play music. Could be nice way to improve mood when NPCs hit.

Maybe, possibly when the time comes and NPCs hit the ground, we may have system similar to Survivalist:Invisible Strain, that allows switching between characters in your Faction and taking control of each one of them. It really depends how much control over the organisation inside the group the devs want us to have.

Crossbow7734 reacted to Bullet_Magnate in Antique Metal Hand Pumps
Might be nice to add a few of these to rural places on the map, or replace some / all of the stone wells with them. I've spent some time in farm country in the midwest USA, and old metal pumps like these are WAY more common than functional antique stone wells (most of which have been torn down / filled in, or are purely decorative non-functional items).
Downside to these metal pumps is you actually have to "prime" them by pouring a little water into the top first, or they won't work. So, if you found one when you had zero water on you, you'd still be out of luck.

Crossbow7734 got a reaction from TheUltiM8Guy in Eine Kleine NachtmooZik
Everything in this update makes me so hyped. Im not sure what will I try first when the game comes out. The new Farming and Animal Care, or will I go nomad again with improved survial stuff. Can't wait to stalk the forest in a hunt for a deer ^^
Exploration will be sooo cool to when the map levels change hits!

Crossbow7734 got a reaction from Axezombie in Horses!!!
Patience. The World Map already has infrastructure that suggest horse spawn areas. And looking toward the announced way the devs wish to push the game toward, im pretty positive horses will be coming.

Chad Avantex65. Reads suggestion. Comments "No". Refuses to elaborate.
On the topic of suggestion, that is something that could be modded.

Okay hear me out here: A frozen coldpack+Handheld cooler = small mobile fridge with the coldpack functioning like a battery in a flashlight except it is ticking away no matter what (Maybe slower or it does not when you have the cooler outside and it's freezing). It may also not be as good as normal fridge let alone the freezer.
This could let us keep those perishables we fing on long loot runs fresh.
Also refrigerated Spiffo Van trunk anyone?

Crossbow7734 got a reaction from Natoriumu in If walking carrion can creep and crawl under cars, why can't I?
Actually makes a lot of sense. I'd also like to see crawlers hiding under cars (Especially wrecks) awaiting in ambush for a careless survivor, or crawling out unexpected, when lured out by a sound.

I've used the mod before but god damn the idea of it being used like a battery is awesome!! Having a slot in coolers you can put cold packs in and being able to see how much longer you have on it is an amazing idea. And you could 'recharge' it by placing it into freezers when looting or at home! I support this

If your using the steam version, there are both cooler mods, and a refrigerated spiffy can mod.

Crossbow7734 reacted to OprahWinfrey in Make colors normal visible in inventory stack
Currently, when expanding a list of identical items in the inventory (such as T shirts), every item not at the top of the list is greyed out. When searching for a certain color in a large collection, it takes a long time to find the one that you want because all the colors are too dark to distinguish within the list. With all the new options for customizing your look, it would be a big time saver and quality of life addition.
It would be nice if there was an option to disable the greyed out colors in the stack and show the real color, or maybe just remove the effect. Example below:

First of all, appologies for any mistakes I made in this comment. English is not my native language and I don't have much time to polish this text.
I agree that it would be cool, but I believe dev are aiming for certain amount of realism, and as far as I am aware dual welding was not used historically very often. In fact dual welding melee weapons has some problems that need to be adressed by limiting some utility of said weapons by for example limiting reach of one of them. On the topic of dual welding handguns, I personally believe on the grounds that I've not found any historical sources confirimng that firearms were used in combat two handed and it's only popularised by Hollywood. Althrough maybe in the age of black powder and sails, during fights on the decks of ships such maneuvers might have happened, as it is confirmed that sailors often possesed multiple firearms, but it is still more beneficial to fire one after another with use of both your hands or your dominant hand to ensure more accuracy, which may have not been an issue when firing at a crowd or in cramped spaces, but in context of fighting zombies and single targets, combined with ammo scarcity, makes accuraccy imperative.
It would be cool as fuck tho, even if when considering above might be a noob trap.

Crossbow7734 reacted to Geras in Solution to end game safety
IMO a solution to end game safety would be to turn 'Urban focused' distribution on zombies turn slowly into 'Uniform distribution', let's say within a game year.
This way, eventually, no place on the map would be safe from zombies, as they would naturally move/spawn around to equalize their numbers across the entire map. Or maybe more of them would stay in the cities, but wilderness would also have some population, but not as big as cities.
To my best knowledge zombies currently move naturally from one adjacent cell to another, but their migration gets bottlenecked by cells with very low population limits.
My solution would increase these low population limits as time progresses, removing the bottleneck.

Yes. Soon I'll be able to exercise while listening to Eye of the tiger, while running from hordes and watching tv in the breaks.

will there be a decay after reaching say skilllevel 5 if you don't exercide/use the fitness skills (like sleeping for 5 days or reading books decay the fitness skills in a small amount) ?

Looking forward to checking out the creepy fog. Regarding exercise, any chance we could get an exercise bike? I'm building a hotel with a gym for a custom map and more gym equipment would be cool. Plus you could re-use the animations if you decide to add regular bikes for transport at some point.
Really excited for the future of PZ
