Also as you may not have noticed, this thread is in PZ Modding -> Mod Ideas and Requests. Trying to shoot stuff down here isn't useful.

My fiancee brought me a knife blade from somewhere a year or so back, late this summer I figured I'd finally do something with it.

Here's a gallery with a bunch of in-progress shots. First time ever I've done anything like this so I'm pretty happy about how it turned out.

Is it at all possible to make the emoticon set an user-selectable preference? Having lots of stuff wiggling on the screen gives me flashbacks to late 90s web-"design", and also a headache.

And since this is a modding suggestion, it doesn't matter what the devs' stance on its subject matter is anyway

A sex shop or a strip club does not require a massive amount of explicitness to convey the location's meaning, there are already suggestive posters and that level would work just fine for the purpose. And I suspect both types of places exist even in Kentucky, although probably not in Muldraugh.
 
As to why these types of locations are "necessary": they're not any more necessary than bars, tattoo parlors or bail bonds, or anything else you can think of really. They're just things that exist in the real world and convey the sense of being in a specific type of area.

Yea, I updated the map to 2.0 now; increasing the size from a 5x5 map to a whopping 22x16 map.
 
With this latest update (2.0), you can now explore North of New Denver to the Slocan Lake Golf Course, South to the Farmlands, and the world East of New Denver, with houses, farms, and more.
More bug fixes have been addressed, so the game should play more smoothly now.
Update 2.0 does NOT have foragable land outside of the original map size (I'm only one person!!! but I will update this ASAP)
Note the 2.0 Update will require you to start a new game as the exact location of New Denver has increased the distance to Muldraugh
 
 
 
 
  Behold! For 11 months I secretly worked on map accurately depicting my hometown.  In this 22x16 cell map, each building is unique and comparable to the real-life New Denver, down to (almost) every house, shed, etc.  I`d add the amount of buildings I created but I lost count long ago.

Hello people. I wrote a simple, small mod for PZ, called Priority Sort. It alters how the "Category" button in inventory panes behave. When you click this existing "Category" button, it'll now cycle between various categories, and push any item belonging to that category to the top of the list. Any other item will first be sorted by alphabetical category order, then by name order. Double sorting the inventory, but first prioritizing the selected category in other words.

Neither overwrites any vanilla files nor affects your saves; only alters the UI to include a custom sort function.

Note: Some categories are disabled. The new "ammo" category for example, as the game still treats it like "item" category. Even without this mod, sorting by the alphabetical category order will not result in "ammo" category going to the top. The other disabled categories are disabled as they are very rare and/or redundant ones.

This might be a stupid idea but what if you could light some garbage in a Trash Can on fire and stand near it for warmth and maybe makeshift cooking? I think it could be interesting.

Yep, you have to prioritize survival to survive. The game's take on violence is fairly realistic, which means you really don't want to go into a fight you're not sure to win. Focus instead on scavenging for clothes and equipment, and use the bunker you started in as a base until you have a sleeping bag.

Great hex-based RPG. One of the few that got me back into playing games again. Give it a shot (yes, it has a demo).

The 192.168.1.* one is your local network IP, that is what you want to forward the ports to. You can connect to your own server by typing the word localhost into the address field.

Because those people are many in number and are just one forum post away from saying PZ sucks and stopping others from trying it out, or even moreso only a thumbs down button on Steam away from screwing our upvotes and affecting our visibility on steam and thus funding for the game going forward
Not to mention we want everyone to enjoy the game, and don't like reading people not enjoying the game. We just don't want those who don't look how to play properly to affect the experience of those who invest time into learning the game by making us compromise on what Survival mode is.

Adding an UI indicator of how charged the next shot will be would help cut on the spamming. Currently a player may not even know there's any charging involved.

There's no problem with running the server on a separate machine. The game doesn't really integrate with Steam, so you don't have to run Steam while running the game/server.

If I understood you right, what you're looking for is in media/lua/client/BuildingObjects/ISUI/ISBuildMenu.lua, search for "pillar". There are no "neat" definitions for this stuff I'm afraid.
