I suggest having appropriately proportioned sized trees. Right now the tallest tree is barely taller than your character.

Mature trees should be 3-4 times larger at least. My quick research showed that many of the native pine, maple, oak, and walnut trees of KY grow to over 60ft.

For most mature trees in a forest, the leaves/needles wouldn't start to till they're over the characters height.

Gameplay improvement? eh probably not much, but the world will be more immersive and believable.

It'd be cool if you could use the foraging skill near the water to catch crabs, mussels, frogs, snakes, turtles ect. I'm honestly not sure if you would find most of those in KY so if anyone could make a list of animals or edible things you could find near the water by foraging that'd be great.

EDIT:  Perhaps you could use one of these near the sand and have a higher chance of catching clams and stuff.

Also maybe one of those cages used to catch crustaceans could be thrown into the water. This could add a whole new job to the game called "Crabber" or  something better sounding. Again i'm not from the US so I have no idea what you would be able to catch and in what areas.

EDIT: After reading some replies I thought maybe you could get a foot infection from walking around in the wet all day in the same shoes? Wearing wellies could prevent foot infections, heat loss from the water and also stop crawling zombies from scratching your lower legs and feet.

I like it. The only thing is with the way trees currently work, it'd look really weird. They're all really tiny . . .
If they ever get full-sized trees and rendering at multiple heights, it'd be quite cool.

So, here are some of my ideas:

Car door shields and barricades - ruined cars can be found in the street and the doors/windows can be wrenched off. Maybe crafting the door with a belt would allow you to make a crude riot-shield-thing. Or just bang some nails through it and reinforce a door.

Bayonet - Can be found around in military areas, or crafted using duct tape and a knife on a hunting/varmit rifle. Would be really neat.

Piano wire - Do I need to explain this? Creep up on a zombie, wrap it around neck, twist, pull. Head off.

Throat slitting/Backstab - Essentially, when you creep up on a zombie with a knife, you can stab them at the base of the neck, temple, or just slit their throat to quickly kill them.

Takedowns - The ability to one-shot zeds from behind using weaponry. I.e: kick to the back of the knee, decap/skull crack. It'd be a nice feature so as to make stealth a better combat tactic.

Pillow suppressor - God sake. Take pillow. Put gun behind pillow. Pull trigger. Quieter gun.

    That's all for now folks!

Farming and foraging are pretty different. I'm thinking about the types of bush survival guides I used to see when I was young at the library for foraging.

    lol thanks Gustav.

Honestly, I'd like to have a realistic way to dispose of them.  It really shouldn't be hard to take precautions to control a fire.  Maybe a mod could allow us to bury them instead?

Screw that! THE WOLRD EXISTS BECAUSE I ALLOW IT AND THE WORLD SHALL BURN INTO THE ASHES OF FORGOTTEN HISTORY BECAUSE I DEMAND IT! Just kidding.

With Build 32, it's virtually impossible to burn corpses without destroying the entire known world.  So I'd like a fix to this.

Maybe something that just takes the sheet of paper, lighter and gas and uses them appropriately, but just transform the corpse into the ash pile, skipping the fire part altogether.

Or perhaps just a right-click and "delete corpse" option.  Really need this for my role-playing game I'm doing.  Thanks to anyone who shows interest!

I know that this may seem like a useless idea from the name but i feel that this would be very useful to the game because of the fact that these provide long lasting yet post power food.

Here is a list of perishables:
Dried fruit- This doesn't last forever but lasts longer than normal fruit. Pumpkins- These are large grow-able foods that also yield many seeds.
Here is a list of non-perishables:
trail mix- this provides happiness and hunger and i decently common and can be made with other items. Oats- These are basic items that can be eaten but cause a decrease in happiness. They are used in more crafting. Granola bar- These are like trail mix but a little more compact and are eaten a little bit quicker for less stats. Juice boxes- its like a soda but less happiness and hunger and slightly lighter. crackers- These are small, light, and don't go bad. They can however become stale and give off a decrease in happiness. raisins- These are like dried fruit but they are non perishable and provide less hunger. Pudding cups- These provide a buff to happiness and hunger. Honey- these are used in cooking and do not perish. It also can be eaten raw but provides very little hunger. Rice- These things are very filling but have a low saturation making them good for only a few hours but you can make a lot.  Syrup- This is like honey but instead has few recipes to be used with and has a different sprite.
Now a few extra items and ideas:
Baking soda- This i have no idea of what its used for in cooking but i know that it can put out fires. poisonous mushrooms- i feel you need to have a certain level to see that these are deadly but have the same sprite as any mushroom. pumpkin and sunflower seeds- These are both plant-able and obtained by the plant itself. Sunflower seeds are foraged while pumpkins are found in packets. When planted the harvested items will be sunflower head or pumpkin. The sunflower head can be turned into seeds and the pumpkin can be used in cooking or yielding seeds.  Certain foods such as apples and such may contain some water in them. This means they would give off a little water when eating so why not give them a little thirst. Some foods don't have them and have negative as already seen in game.
    Cooking ideas:
Roasted seeds- these can either be pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds. Salted seeds- Just like the roasted seeds but they cause a loss in thirst for a little extra hunger. Granola bars- these require either honey, trail mix, and a baking pan or oats, dried fruit/raisins, honey, and baking pan in an oven or heat source. Trail mix- just like granola bars but without the honey and in a bowl in the over. Chocolate trail mix- Take trail mix and add chocolate. oatmeal- Using the oats and other ingredients this can be made. pancakes- This is made in game and can be upgraded to deluxe pancakes with syrup and butter. Chocolate pancakes- Like pancakes but with chocolate added in the process.
This is all i have to add and i would like to hear your thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to read it fully and hear me out.

Yes, additional herbs and tea plants would make sense then, some could be used for a flu, others for coffein. I'm playing a char with the sleepy traits atm and coffee is running out way to fast.

And the sound of the bees should attract zombies.

But yeah, I think it'd be cool and it would add depth to the game. We could use honey instead of sugar for Hot Cuppa if there was a sustainable way to make tea as well.

Excuse me if this has been mentioned already, i couldn't find a search option?

Anyway, i think bee keeping would be a nice addition to the game. It could provide an additional food source (there are actually tribes irl who live on honey almost exclusively for a few month when their other food sources become scarse) and it could also be used to make additional sweets to get the mood up.

So I was looting, and I noticed "Damn, that is a nice rug/painting/potted-plant it'd look great in my safehouse."  But, it's just a tile and my only interaction with it is limited to destroying it with a sledge hammer.

Why not be able to move rugs and other decoration tiles?  This would add a bit more to do late game, you could decorate your safehouse and make it feel like home.
For rugs, you'd need rope, twine, or thread so you can roll it up. I imagine it's probably heavy, so you'd have a heavy load. For carpeted floor tiles, you'd need to a kitchen knife or similar sharp object, then you could lift one tile of the carpet like you would dirt or sand. Potted Plants can just go into your inventory, simple. Same with paintings (although those are rather cumbersome, so even though they don't weigh much you'd probably get a heavy load and have to equip it to your primary slot until you place it somewhere/drop it)
