  1. There actually is a system for this in the pipeline- you will be able to rescue survivor NPC's, bring them back to your base and assign them the job of watering plants!
  2. All they have to do is program it so hordes dont start to show up until your like a week in- that way its still noob friendly but long term survival is a callenge
  3. Just FYI guys when opening doors for the first time you can hold down right click, move up to the door and press 'E' to open rather than clicking on the door... It means that you open the door with your weapon fully charged and ready to swing
  4. you can light cigarettes? #gamechanger
  5. The online mantra is always the same- where two or three are gathered together- there are douchbags in the midst
  6. I cant see the steam forums in work, but I can see this one, so STOP POSTING IN THE STEAM ONE
  7. My steam version seems quite stable- I started a new game on it and didn't try to continue an existing one. The improvements in 1.7 so far outweigh any bugs I have encountered. If it does get unstable I still have it on Desura anyway so I can just go back to 1.6 can't I? I see no need to spend time downgrading the steam version.
  8. For now I believe you can 'cook' them into soups without killing yourself
  9. I'm the same as Rathlord, its hard to test a game when your changing options from the default So I usually just stick to survival
  10. This is how it will work- All of the survivors will go into their rooms at night and say- 'Good night John Boy', and then one will say 'Good night Elizabeth', and then one will say 'good night Jim Bob', and then one will say 'Good night Mary Ellen' If any of them say 'gooooo nnaaaaaaa wwwaaaaaaaagBRAINNNNNNNNNNNNNS' the others have to get up and club him to death with rolling pins
  11. I've used steam in 'offline' mode and all of my games worked fine Mostly I download pirate copies of games I already own simply because I couldn't be arsed going up into the attic to look for the box! I don't know about you but maybe your game collection could fit on a shelf or two..... mine would fill a whole room..... or one tiny usb hard drive, it really is a no brainer One of my biggest pet hates is having to put the cd in, I mean what the hell did I do before steam? just play one game at a time? swapping cds between games is a pain
  12. Choosing a safe house is the same as choosing a real house- Its all about location location location! You want to be close enough to town to raid and return without having to travel too far
  13. Hmmmm, map is cheating!
