    Downtown(On Hold)

@ daMastaChef: Thank you for your reply! And sorry, for your character's dead, by exploring the architecture. Currently, Downtown is a standalone map. Having no connections with Muldraugh, West Point or other towns/cities made by communitymembers. Some updates ago, I did connect Downtown with Muldraugh (a 30min. real time forrest-run), but after a break I decided to disconnect it again, to fill Downtown with more content first and to add some surroundings to it. For future plans about connecting, I'm waiting patiently for the Creative Mode and it's impact on Project Zomboid, to make a decision. But I really like the idea to connect every town/city that has been made, into one big map.
  3. You don't have to get "mod.info" and "map.info" from somewhere ... they are already inside the ModTemplate folder. Just open them using 'notepad' and fill-in the information/text behind the "=". -mod.info : The information inside will show up when you open the "Mods" tab in-game. -map.info (example from Downtown): The information inside will show up when you choose the spawnlocation for your character (Muldraugh, Westpoint, ..., Downtown)
  4. Is this what you are looking for? =>C:/ ... / Zomboid/Workshop/ModTemplate/... . It's shared by TIS, so it must be good .
  5. When I see graffiti on the outside of the 1st and 2nd floor, I always think: how would someone do that in real life? But that's just me, keep going and don't be afraid to experiment with different appartment/room-layout's. Maybe not the best example, but I'll share this building here => https://www.dropbox.com/s/4h2alew83146fmw/appartments.tbx?dl=0 Open it with BuildingEd, look at it using the Tile-Mode and play with it. Disable, enable layers and see what happens, add or remove rooms, furniture, trash ... (don't forget to use the correct layers). And most important: have fun!
  6. The folder containing newtiledefinitions.tiles is the "media" folder within the "ProjectZomboid" folder (C:\...\Steam\SteamApps\common\ProjectZomboid\media). http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/14596-map-tools-tiles-for-build-32 Your .lot files are placed within C:\...\Zomboid\mods\"MyModname"\media\maps\"MyModname" together with the map.info , objects.lua and spawnregions.lua files.
  7. Maybe this can help you: https://youtu.be/Y2FJnocq6Qk https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/16065-placing-custom-map-into-game
  8. Look here and follow the steps (first reply from EasyPickins)=> http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/11398-objectslua-for-current-maps/
  9. You can use the Tile-Mode for it: The "roof_accents_01" is what you are looking for, I think. The small 'side-walls' are located at "walls_exterior_roofs_01" until "walls_exterior_roofs_09".

@ Robomat: Thank you! @ KorruptkSwades: As a fellow community-member I can only be thankful to you for uploading video's, with you playing on the Downtown map and it's always nice to see how other members play Project Zomboid. About MBPG; he for sure uploads some quality video's. But I think, if he didn't upload HD-quality video's, he still would have many subscribers and viewers. It is difficult for me to explain (Dutch would be more easy here), but sometimes it is not all about quality, but more about the effort. Look at YouTube, it has many video's of Project Zomboid that don't offer the best quality, but the people who uploaded them, made an effort to show there playstyle, a map or ... Anyway, when you have your new desktop, don't forget to check out the other community-made maps/mods, because ... effort ... Kind regards, Z3759xy
  11. Aug 25th: Updated "Project Peoria" at the Steam Workshop: - Resized the zombie spawn-area - Added a doorway towards the zombie spawn-area, so your character can kill all remaining zombies.

@ditoseadio: Why can't we drink the pool water? Drinking chlorine, cyanuric acid, algeacide and muriatic acid the same as lemonade will not help your character survive, I think. http://www.wikihow.com/Properly-Maintain-Swimming-Pool-Water-Chemistry But, a more serious answer will be that the tile_definitions for these 'water'-tiles are not the same, as the other 'water'-tiles in the Tileset. @Jela331: I haven't seen a sign like this in Downtown: ... so, no P for now.
  13. Thank you, Vichiox and Atoxwarrior! A spacestation or a "real" Zomboid-bunker will have to wait for now, still have another project going ... (Downtown).
  14. Upper Level: Vault Level: The map Peoria from Fallout Tactics converted into PZ: - the small mod will replace the 05. challenge; - zombies/wave changed; - weapons, items and there prices changed ; - preparation time changed. Download-link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/h84x6wzrybz75wd/AABPYL32Cz_HsGLf_aubg8i9a?dl=0 Instructions: =place=> the "Zomboid Tactics_Project Peoria" map =into=> C/: ...user_name.../Zomboid/mods 16/8 EDIT: new version changes: zombie/wave, Kitchenknife=>Huntingknife and VarmintRifle=>Pipebomb
  15. *Do I need to create a certain file or code? Yes, a good structure will save you some time in the future. Here is an empty example mod-folder to start with: Instructions: =place=> the "myMod" folder =into=> C: ...user_name... /Zomboid/mods You can toggle the mod in-game (and see how it works). And even select it as a spawnpoint, but do not spawn a character. myMod-structure: - mapfiles: generate your _.lot files inside this map from WorldEd (Generate Lots...) From here you can place/copy them inside the Muldraugh,KY folder. Doing it like this will make the mod/files easy to share with others. - media : this map has files inside that lets you choose your 'map' as a spawnpoint in-game. The important file here is "spawnpoints.lua" ,if this is empty your character can not spawn. - mod.info: a text-file with information, that will show up when you open the "Mods" tab in-game. -myMod.png : a picture that is used together with 'mod.info' and is visible in the 'Mods"tab. The World Origin numbers are your map coodinates. You can see them in WorldEd->View->Show Coordinates (the upper cell will have 0,0). So when you press 'Generate Lots->All Cells' and you change the World Origin numbers (0,0), the coordinates of the upper cell are changed first, not the middle one.
  16. Yes, that's correct. It's the vault from the map Peoria ... ... and I'm trying to convert it into the Project Zomboid universe. Am I getting close or does it look strange?

    Downtown(On Hold)

Update 05.01: - Added Downtown (Cemetery Challenge and standalone map) to the Steam Workshop. They are the same versions as provided here, but only a bit more Steam ... . Kind regards, Z3759xy EDIT: Added credits for the members who shared buildings, that I used.

@ KorruptkSwades: Yes, most of the work has gone into filling out these "empty shells"(I use them to have a better view on the lay-out), but there still are some. Those will be for the next update. Maybe I can help you and your character, by sharing a content-map, that I use?

@ fluffe991: Yes, all buildings will be uploaded/shared in the future. @ KorruptkSwades: Thanks again! Already looking forward to the next episode. @ Jella331: Thank you, I'm doing the best I can to make some quality buildings and it's a nice effort from KorruptkSwades to make people aware of Downtown.
  24. The zombie health points can already be changed when you start/setup a "custom sandbox"- game, the zombie lore window. Maybe a file to look at would be "SandboxOptions.lua" , located at .../Steam/SteamApps/common/ProjectZomboid/media/lua/client/OptionScreens . I don't know if you can mod this. For changing weapons you 'll need to make a mod, that replaces the "items.txt" or "newitems.txt"- files. These files are found at .../Steam/SteamApps/common/ProjectZomboid/media/scripts .
