  1. Well the fact you said it was "difficult" to make. I really doubt making a proper targeting system is a hardcore challenge for the devs to achieve. So if other developpers were able to do it, I'm convinced the PZ team can do it too.
  2. There is many other games who have proper targeting system, so I can't believe it's actually really difficult to make
  3. You're making a good point here, but it's not just about zombies here, it's also for PVP. How do you focus a specific enemy player (Or enemy NPC for later) with the actual system if they're more than 5 regrouped ? I'm just saying that we need a mechanic that allows us to focus a specific target. Because for example, you see an enemy group, one of them has a sniper, another one a shotgun and the rest a pistol. We can agree that in the end they are all deadly, but focusing the sniper first and then the shotgun guy and then the rest could be a nice strategy, it feels silly to have to say " Uh fuck, I missed the sniper because the system shot the other dude with a pistol instead " (Or a zombie in the way). Anyway, 'Night
  4. So um, the real time based time is actually a thing in sandbox..
  5. I like the idea, having to manage the space of your inventory could definitely have a great impact on looting. I was also thinking that the Organized trait would allow you to have permanent inventory tiles as bonus. I think it would be even better if we could rotate items in the inventory to modulate the space. As a bonus, that kind of inventory could be influenced by the cloths you wear, for exemple, army clothing tend to have a lot of pockets. But, I don't think that cloths should give weight reduction, just more space. sincerely yours, Dakrwhip Ps: Admins or mods of a server could activate a cheat to have infinite scrolling tiled inventory.
  6. Hi guys, so since a few days I've been creative only during late hours of the night (23:10 PM right now) and I was thinking about how PZ was handling targeting and began to think how we could change it or improve it. So first, I remembered RJ who spoke about a turn based mod for PZ and I thought « Uh yeah, I can't see how else we could handle better the aiming with guns without using a turn based system » So yeah. the main problem in PZ now is the targeting with guns and I think I might have two solutions to the problem. 1. A simple target system, just like any typical MMOs out there, when you pass your mouse over someone, its character highlights and when left clicking on it, a small "profile" of it appears up the screen. That person is now "selected" as your target of interest/interaction. While selecting someone and raising/aiming and attacking, the attacks will be focused on the target and not randomly change targets except if its in the way. Small bonus, when close enough, a small arrow can be clicked to see possible interactions. 2. Radius, while raising your weapon or aiming, a highlighted radius representing the range of your weapon's reach appears in front of where your character is aiming. Withing that radius, your mouse becomes a target icon, anything alive withing that radius can be attacked/shot if clicked close enough or accurately on it. It's important to keep in mind that if anything gets in the way, that thing/person will get hit by the attack and not the target. So these are my ideas, They were quick thought, I admit they appeared in to my mind suddenly out of nowhere. The goal is to create something accurate, easy to use and efficient, but also quick. Bonus idea: While aiming with a scope, the range of using CTRL camera move, should be upgraded when holding a gun equipped with a scope, (If not already the case) but the radius should be waaaaaayyy less wide, I think it would also make sense for binoculars. Sincerely yours, Darkwhip
  7. Hey, just my thought on it but.. ehh.. if you planned to make a RP server, you definitely have to explain a lot of things about your server. Make a proper presentation, really.
  8. This is what you don't understand, on a realistic and immersive view, your character would be able to recognize the voice of that person, but because it's texte based there's no way to tell, this is why it would be unfair. possibly a color tone or if you know a voice it will leave a name after the text. Colors aren't the best option for colorblind people.

  10. Since I tried Turbo's radio mod and now, yet still in the video's mondoid we can't know who is speaking in those godam radio channels ! I took a screenshot: On this screenshot, we know who is speaking because Turbo and Tooks are just beside, speaking in. But if they where out of screen there is absolute no way to know who is speaking except if that person says ''Hey it's Turbo'', but still even there another person could just pretend to be him speaking in the radio. Suggestion ? Add the character's name beside the phrase coming out of any radio/Ham. Why ? It's a lot more convenient and avoid people to abuse radio chat for inadequate talking (Which will help Admin/moderators to watch over the radio chat with ease and snap those rulebreakers. Sincerely yours, Darkwhip
  11. If nails had to be rare it wouldn't be realistic at all, ''Just because you think you would grab nails as first object'' in zombie apocalypse that it should. I don't know for you, but if a zombie apocalypse had to happen, I don't think nails is going to save my life as it is. I would feel a lot more safer with a crowbar or a lumber axe.
  12. I remember in the old versions there was a ''overstuffed'' or ''Glutony'' state where you could only walk, but I may be wrong.
  13. You forgot hunting wich is going to be added ( Deers and such..)
  14. Insomnia (fatigue recharge when asleep very very low. Will likely wake up tired) IG it doesn't have this name, It's something else, but I forgot what. I think police officer should have +1 sprinting as they used to ''chase'' on foot criminals in some situations. I had some suggestions for traits. Completely Deaf: +X points ( Unable to hear anything even events, except the game music.) Blind:: +X points Unable to see, of course the price would give a lot of points as it removes a major sense for survival. (Cane and sticks would come handy to the blind character to detect obstacles in front of him/her) Ageusia: +X points Lost of taste, unable to xp cooking through eating. Colorblind:+X points You can't see colors of the map/background as playing this character. ( I don't actually know what the colorblinds people really see but.. probably grey, white, black ?) Mute: +X points: You can't speak in local chat (Mostly for RP, but still could be a bit troublesome for general players. Should add a ''action'' command like /me actionhere if added. so the action is appears locally for potential RP. And hooray for the writable notepads and paper)) Moody: +X points prone to be suddenly slow/stop at what she/he was doing and goes in his mind and creates scenarios in his/her head. Hyperactive: -+ points Would get quickly bored while doing nothing but in the other hand, is faster in general. Lazy: +X points Slower at everything in general Active: -X points Faster at everything in general I may add more in the future.
  15. Hey, talking of specials containers, why not add pouches. .? And utility vest ? And yet holsters.. !? TUUN-TUUN-TUUUUUUUNNNNNN~
  16. It's boring how you dictates the way people should make their roleplay. You should write some general rules and just go with the flow of events who normally would happen and not try to control the main thing, let people RP by themselves and see what happen. It's the key. Don't take it personal but, this is my advice, it's your choice to consider it or not. Cordialy.
  17. Steam Username: Darkwhip In-Game Name: Claire Armstrong RP Experiences: Wakfu (MMO), Garry's Mod Half-Life 2 Serious Roleplay, Forum RP, Starbound Character Background: Claire is a brave woman and is 36 years old, she used to work for the law in the past, but now she fights to survive everyday. Claire is the type of woman who goes straight and say what she really have in her mind, But for sure she can be kind if people are right with her and for sure if they are honest. She will get easily angry if the others aren't honest with her or unrespectful but her previous occupation has make her more patient about that. As her old work was police officer, Claire is also a woman of justice, her reaction toward injustice could make her unhappy or upset even mad. Claire has a kind of beefy body shape due to her old habits of physical training she had at her home. She has fiery hair (Redhead), Ponytail, Green eyes and is a bit more taller of the average of women. Due of her beefy shape, she has a great appetite and isn't affraid of eating meat and vegetables but doesn't like any kinds of fishes and seafood. She always says that is important to eat until satiation, otherwise she thinks it is very bad for health and efficiency. She wasn't close of her familly though probably because of her work she had. She also has difficulties with love stories, she thinks the men doesn't like woman tougher than them or too shy to approach a police officer. Why you want to join the server ?: I was looking for a PZ RP server in build 29 to play with the new features with a community. Also it would be my first time to do roleplaying in PZ How can I contact you: Via Steam: Darkwhip and for Skype: Darkwhip0331 Notes: Thanks for reading and forgive me if I made misspellings, I am French. (Trust me, i'm french !)
  18. Maybe, but as you said ''Hearing'' it's not because your hear a door/window opening or etc.. that you exacly know which door/window it concerns. Also we can always hope for the next stealth improvement to open doors/windows quietly, know what I mean ? EDIT: With the new sound system it could match perfectly with my idea.
  19. So yeah I guess i'm not the only one who noticed that but.. when a door gets wrecked by zombies or opened by something else like another player, we can see it getting destroyed or opened even if we are not looking at that particular door.. and same story for windows when they get broken by zombies... etc.. As suggestion why not correct that ? Make in sort when doors, windows gets destroyed, we don't see it until we take a look to it for real. Then the image just change once we saw it. I'm just thinking of PVP with that is sort of pissy if we try to be stealthy or even in RP situations... For sure, we could hear the noise they make as always. Cordialy, Darkwhip
