  1. Thank weed as well, I was high as shit when I bought the fanboy edition. But, think long and hard, take your time (I like Quality), and have fun, this is becoming truly an amazing work of art. You're all so motherfucking beautiful, and I Love you all, Peace.
  2. Detailed stat building Each Attribute breaks down into multiple skills. Then, each Skill breaks down into multiple Techniques. And then, each Technique reveals the Endurance and Stamina of the body parts it directly uses. But, you should only be allowed to level up Techniques by choice. Beyond that, everything should really be leveled up through your bare actions. Attributes. The attributes should be simple, Intelligence and Physique, that's it. Since inherently, we are just a Brain and a Body. Skills. Intelligence and Physique influences ALL skills. This just makes it easier to categorize the Techniques. Techniques. Each Skill should have two Techniques. One, will be the Intellectual part of the skill, and the other will be the Physical part. Basically, the Techniques are the parts of the Skills that the Attributes directly influence. And like I said, Techniques should be the only things you have a choice in building. They still build up through your bare actions though, but only because the choice still needs bare action to reveal itself. Endurance & Stamina. Based on your Techniques, each part of your Body (in your own prefence of detail of course) should have an Indicator. Just like in my last Suggestion in, "Fixing, Mr. Fixit," we should have an Indication of when the Body Parts are Healthy and when they're Infected. AND, Indicators for each Body Parts Endurance and Stamina. Your most used Body Parts will fair the best against your obstacles. And I'm talking about the Brain, and the other Organs as well. So besides building up your Endurance & Stamina for say, your Arms or Legs, you could. . . develop your reading skills, or build up a drinking tolerance, that sort of thing. Specialities. Each and every Item and Body Part we are able to use, should give you a temporary buff to the Techniques they use, but only while you're using them. So, whatever it is that you use the most, will give you the biggest Bonus. And I'm still talking about the Brain, and the other Organs as well. Plus, if you've ever played "Borderlands," you might have an idea of what I mean (Minus the Body Parts). Karma & Luck. I'm a firm believer in "What Goes Around, Comes Around." You do good things; good things happen to you, and the opposite. Professions. Detailed Attributes, Skills, Techniques, Endurance, Stamina, and Specialities that you start off with. Because that's what you got paid for before the outbreak. Traits. Traits should involve everything on this list. So we can have very detailed starting points. And I personally would love a long character creation. Gaining & Losing XP. Don't Shame your Pain, because if you don't Use it, you Lose it. (To an extent.) Detailed Details Attributes. Intelligence and Physique Skills & Techniques. ex. Skill (Meaning)= Techniques (Usage). Learning (Rate at which you absorb experiences.)= Brain Memory (Rate at which the Intelligence Attribute increases.) and Body Memory (Rate at which the Physique Attribute increases.). Willpower (Ability to stay Conscious and Calm)= Adrenal Glands (Brain Juice) and Heart & Lungs (Blood & Air Flow). (Survivalist) Foraging (General Searching & Finding), Fishing (Water Foraging), Trapping (Animal Foraging), Reading (Word Foraging)= Comprehension (Quantity Understanded) and Strength (Limit at a Time). (Crafts) Farming (Grow Food), Cooking (Prepare Food), First Aid (Exterior Healing), Living Anatomy B & R (Interior Healing), Carpentry (Wood Work), Stonework (Stone Work), Metalsmithing (Metal Work), Engineering (Work with Moving Parts), Chemistry (Chemical Work), Electronics B & R (Metal & Electricity Work)= Coordination (Quality Work) and Strength (Speed). (Movement) Running (Fast & Loud), Sneaking (Slow & Quiet), Swimming (Horizontal Quad-Strength), and Climbing (Vertical Quad-Strength)= Coordination (Gracefulness) and Strength (Speed). (Combat) Unarmed (Bare Bodied Weapons), Edged Weapons (Stabbing and/or Cutting Objects), Bashing Weapons (Blunt Objects), Combustion Weapons (Explosive Momentum Projectiles), Sling Weapons (String Momentum Projectiles), and Throwing Weapons (Hand Momentum Projectiles)= Perception (Gracefulness and Critical Hits) and Strength (Speed and Weapon Handling). (AND, with both Perception and Strength, Ranged gets more Accuracy. PLUS, Melee and Throwing get more Accuracy and Damage.) Other Stuff Punching. With the Mental and Physical Abilities we have access to, Punching would give us the Capability to knock out Living People. Done just like weapon attacks, but not as damaging though. And significently faster, especially if you're Punching with Both Hands. Plus, it might be cool to have a means of using some Brass/Spiked Nuckles or something. No Profession. Instead of picking one job to focus on in life, you bounced around a lot. So instead of having a certain build that you focused on from the biginning, in your Attributes, Skills, Techniques, Endurance, Stamina, and Specialities. . . you instead, start off with a tiny bit in everything. But, no matter how much of my opinions you don't agree with, that's okay. Because I know you all have Brilliant Ideas of you own that I didn't think of. And I know you're doing everything you can to continue to make this game awesome. And that's kind of why I love you all, peace.
  3. I love your imput, buddy. But, I will say, I've kicked through wooden fences before, myself. And I would be totally willing to bust through a wooden fence to save my fat-ass friend. But I still love you.
  4. Yeah, sometimes, I go a little crazy. I just like to keep the wheels turning. But thanks for the feedback buddy, I love you.
  5. I will re-release it in future. It should also become a part of Vacation Islands. HELL Yeah! Vacation Islands!? Like "Dead Island," but "Project Zomboid" style? That sounds so badass! I you, all love.
  6. Getting My Fix I'm back with more hyper-real ideas. But, I don't feel like fucking around with an intro today. So let's just get into it. Complicated Healing There should be more to it than just, slapping on some bandages, and choking on some chicken. Bandages. I feel, different body parts, should have different healing requirements. Like Bandages. . . for example, maybe you'll only need around 2-3 bandages for your arms, but for your body, you could need anywhere around 5-10 bandages (depending on the specific locations and your size of course). But, if you don't have any tape, or safety pins, etc., then you should have to tie the bandages together. But, no matter how you apply the bandages, you should always be able to add more tape. For more durability (that, we'll get in to later). Health & Infections. Food's healing ability should also differ on different parts. And as a matter of fact, we should have health indicators on each and every body part (that you are willing to do). Full health meaning: Healthy, and No health meaning: Infected. However, if it's a Zombie infection, or just simply, a Bad Wound infection, both will kill us the same way. By spreading to our heart, lungs, and/or brain, but the Zombie infection always does it faster, plus, it can't even be treated, it only gets worse (that's how we'll know). So, even if it's just ONE, of your hand's (or even finger's (depending on how far you go)) health indicators that has completely depleted, that, will start depleting the next connecting indicators, and so on and so forth. So, if the infection is in your arms or legs, you're savable with proper amputation. But, if the infection is in your body, neck, or head, you're fucked. More Complicated Healing Now, unlike the Zombie infection, Bad Wound infections are obviously treatable. So let's dig into that. Step 1. Wound Cleaning. Rivers, streams, pools, baths, showers, sinks, and even toilets, should all be able to be used to clean your wounds at least, assuming they are all clean of course. But if not, you can boil it. That is, if you can't find any alcohol, good enough for sterilizing. Application would involve, pouring the water or booze all over the wound, and/or pouring it on to a rag, bandage, or whatever, then wiping down your wound. Step 2. Stop Bleeding. If you're Bleeding BAD, and you have a belt or something, you can just strap on the pressure, easy peasy. But, if you have nothing that can handle wound applying pressure, then there should be two options. One, put a bandage in one, or each of your hands, as in, put a bandage in either the the Primary and/or Secondary slots. Then allow us to apply one, or both hands with pressure on to one or two wounds, max. Only what's doable obviously, I wouldn't ask to be able to apply that kind of pressure with my left hand onto your left arm or whatever, wouldn't make sense. But when it comes to option two, it's the same as one, exept it's just your bare hands instead. But, with your bare hands, it can be more unsanitary. Step 1 & 2. Cauterize. Got a fire? Got a sturdy piece of metal? Good, then you can go ahead skip Steps 1 & 2. No need to clean it and squeeze it, just sear it shut. Which means you'll save time, but you better have something to bite down on, because it's gonna suck. Plus, if your character screams a lot, you are definitly gonna wanna smoosh you face into a pillow or something. Step 3. Rebandage Periodically. Through time, the bandage will get dirty. So you'll need to change it from time to time until it's healed. And allowing us to change our bandages, can force us into a situation like, you simply bandage it when you're on the go. Then clean it when we can get to water or booze and safety, and then rebandage, stuff like that. Other Stuff Wear & Tear. I think more than just your weapons should have a durability. Like, your clothes, your bags, and your bandages. Whether we get badly hurt, or not at all, each injury can be taxing on our clothes, bags, and bandages. So we'll probably need to get good at Sewing and stuff. Solid Wood. If you break a solid piece of wood, like a 2x4, a branch, or a baseball bat. You should be able to use the broken end you're holding as a quick stabbing weapon, but then still have to find, or make a whole new one. Except for the bat, bats always break in that way that allows you to screw, nail, and bolt the other piece back on. But first, you have to make sure you don't use the handle end as a stabbing weapon too much, even though it would make a much stronger stabbing weapon than the 2x4 or the branch. And second, you'll need to grab the other end of the bat, and then get a hammer and some nails, or a screw driver and some screws, or for the sturdiest repair, a drill (or a hand drill) and a wrench and some bolts. But, once the baseball bat has been repaired, the next break, is permanent. B & R. We should be able to take the good parts out of other guns, and put them in the place of the shitty parts in our guns. And with the proper tools, materials, and skills, maybe we could even make our own guns and ammo. And same idea for all the different types of melee weapons. I feel, every Role Playing Game, should thrive off detail. Especially when Graphics, are not what they're maxing out. But, that's all I got so far, I love you all, peace. P.S. Are you planning on adding surgery to the game?
  7. I saw it, I love it, and I love you, thank you friend. Hell yeah, you know what's good.
  8. I LOVE this! This is pretty much, exactly what I was thikning. I love you all.
  9. You're not getting me. With that kind of option, it still feels like cheating to me. I want the brutal experience, in every aspect, within good taste. Hell, I'd even like it without good taste, but I know they can't do that. And I don't blame them. There are, some REALLY fucked up concepts this game could be capable of representing. But I digress. I just want to be more absorded into this Role Playing Game.
  10. See? We can agree on something. Besides, it doesn't REALLY need to be in the game. I just thought it would be a fun idea. And the rest of you debating me, REALLY don't need to get all butt hurt just because I have fun ideas. I'm sorry. I appreciate the spirit of the idea mrwaddell! Regardless of whether or not it is a good idea in RL, I think we should have more options like this in game. Specifically more options that are usually bad ideas. As someone mentioned earlier, somebody is going to do it in game. I once ran down the main street in WP blasting my shotgun in the air to attract every zombie nearby. It was not a good idea and I was left to deal with the consequences. Which, in part, I think is a vital part of this game. The more ways we have to die, the more likely it is that we'll stupidly pick one. If we're smart and well prepared we'll never have to jump through a window after all. Cheers for the idea that would only make this game more interesting! I can envision it now *I am running down the street in PZ playing MP and a player dives out a window shattering the glass in the process. Behind the player zombies start pouring out of the house, and all the nearby zombies hear the glass break and start converging on the house too. Now I'm stuck with the fact that zombies are pouring in everywhere, and I had nothing to do with it! Just because some idiot jumped out a window. Fuck.* Thank you. I'm glad I can still make wheels turn. Because that is Genius. I didn't even think of that. More options, mean's more possible mistakes, means more ways to die. I am in love with that idea. Good collaboration (I say, "Team Work," and then we high five.).
  11. You're right Shane. I am truly sorry to anyone I upset. I just REALLY love my own ideas sometimes. I guess, I'm just really self-absorbed. But I really don't like being a jerk. I am so sorry everyone. I love you all.
  12. Sorry, my "cheese" slipped off my "cracker." Once I read, "How You Died," I knew exactly what you meant. I can be bit slow at times, sorry again. But the game will just tell you how long you survived, when you die. So, you don't actually need the clock for that. And I would personally, like to have the challenge of have to learning what time it is, based on the sun and the moon. This game has the potential of having more fun AND educational value than we know. Please, don't just throw this idea away.
  13. See? We can agree on something. Besides, it doesn't REALLY need to be in the game. I just thought it would be a fun idea. And the rest of you debating me, REALLY don't need to get all butt hurt just because I have fun ideas. I'm sorry.
  14. Windows aren't made of knives, friend. so? glass cuts, simple fact. Yeah, but you're not gonna get THAT badly cut jumping through. Unless you're naked or something, friend. don't know where you get your information from, but you can certainly get cut up jumping thru a window.....Friend. wow, look at all those sharp, jagged edges that easily slices up weak human skin. again, the simple FACT is that glass cuts. period. someone doing something as stupid as jumping thru a standard pane glass window, especially head first, will run the risk of getting sliced up. argue with me all you want. then go to an ER and ask the doctors there whether or not i'm right. You wear more clothes, duh. And why would you send your head directly into the glass? You're supposed to put on a leather jacket, and cover your head with with your now covered arms. And don't get all antsy with me because you've got a lack of a sense of adventure, friend. Plus, we have got to stop debating, it's wasting space.
  15. Windows aren't made of knives, friend. so? glass cuts, simple fact. Yeah, but you're not gonna get THAT badly cut jumping through. Unless you're naked or something. You're acting like I've never jumped through window before, friend. The leaping is not the worst part. It's the landing, and after the landing that will REALLY fuck you up, friend. It's falling on the glass, and the glass falling on you that really sucks. The key, is learning to land properly. On your forarms and feet. Allows you to get up faster, and keeps your belly and face from hitting the ground. So I know, it's doable, friend. But I also know it would be extremely irrational to jump through every window I come across. This is the type of thing you'd use as a last resort. So don't knock it if you haven't tried it, friend.
  16. It's not an EMP blast. The generators go down. Digital clocks could still work. Maybe they'll just have shorter lifespans or something.
  17. Tried this for the heck of it, foot went through cheap door. Thx internet. You didn't kick it in the right spot, did you? I'm imaging that fire-fighter kicking through the door like you did. And then, the Backdraft blows his leg off. Good times. Great idea, never thought about this one. Strange, since running for my life is like an everyday occurance in Project Zomboid. If you timed a running strike perfectly, I think you would only hit your target with the same force as a regular, standing strike. It's all about physics, but I don't think this is a good forum for the physics of weapon strikes (that would be PZ General). The upside would be that your still trucking after you've struck, which is key. Hell yeah! You know what's good.
  18. Precisely, lots of bleeding, depending on what you are wearing. And, that's also what I was say about failing the Window Dive. Instead of it turning into a dive sprite and you lunging through the window, you just tackle the window, and that already looks funny. But, succeeding at a dive would cause cuts and scrapes, and failing would cause cuts and bruising.
  19. The animation for the window smashing, got me thinking. Add a running tackle. Efficiency You NEED to wind up your hits to get the max efficiency. So you should also have to build up speed to knock them down as well. You won't aim with the mouse. But you should still have to click the mouse to initiate the hit, at the right timing of course, as you run your character into a zombie or something. Zombies/People. You shouldn't have to stop your forward momentum every time you're trying to escape another pinch. Just hit and run. Doors. Door ramming should be a thing. It should be quicker to do, but more taxing on the body than a standard door kick would (but I'll get into that later). Windows. This, does not pertain to the big windows in the city, that go from the ceiling, down to the floor. Just the windows above the floor. Now, if you add the Running Tackle, you have GOT to add the Window Dive. Just like everything else we could tackle, you would initiate it the same way. But only with the windows, the tackle sprite can be attempted, in the hopes to see it turn into a lunge sprite right through the window. But ONLY if the attempt succeeded. Otherwise, the window stops you at the tackle, and you'll look silly. Big Wooden Fences & Big Windows. Maybe you are strong enough to climb that big wooden fence, but your friend isn't. Are you just gonna leave him there? Or are you gonna risk your life to save him, and bust through that fence? That would be a cool option. And that would require a health bar for the Big ass-Wooden Fences (if it's not already existent). And you should be able to bust through those Big Windows as well. Runner Zombies. The runner apocalypse would become much more manageable. Insufficiency Obviously, we can't do ANYTHING, without suffering the negative consequences that follow. Windows, Doors, & Big Wooden Fences. More, obvious causes of bleeding and bruising, because of tackle and dive attempts that don't succeed. And even the ettempts that DO succeed as well. Clumsiness. Improper timing of your tackles however, may have a chance of causing you to trip and fall over. Depending more on your Clumsiness, and less on your Luck. But still, ultimately, Clumsiness & Luck. But, you should be able to get better at it as well. Extras Door Kicking. If you don't like the door ramming idea, get this. It could be done almost exactly like my running Window Dive idea. But do a running Door Kick. And the exact same ways we normally can choose to smash windows, let us use that for more door kicking. BAM! Running Weapon Swing. Just like the running tackle, we hold sprint, and left mouse click. But maybe we could also hold the attack stance at the same time, and then left mouse click while a weapon is in hand. Complicated I know. But all people would have to do, is change the attack stance to the space bar, easy peasy. But if not, maybe we could just hold the left click down for a bit, and then release while running. Endurance. More things through out the day should cause more physical pain, strain, and/or damage over time, of constant usage. Like, Foraging, Farming, Capentry, Stoneworking, Metalsmithing, Engineering, Cooking, Tending a Fire, Shooting, Swinging, Hitting, Kicking, Pushing, Ramming, Diving, Landing, Climbing, Swimming, Running, Walking, Sneaking, Standing, and even just Sitting can cause more pain. Some of it can be helped. For example, rapping a lace or some tape around the handle of a weapon, can help to cause less pain and strain in your hands (and maybe even help with the weapon's durability). Or, simply picking the couch over the floor, will cause less pain in you ass and back. But, all of it can be built up to tolerance and calluses over time. So while you're leveling up the skills and attributes for the actions you take most often. You are literaly building thresholds for the body parts you've been using and abusing the most. Allowing those parts to tolerate more pain and withstand more damage. To a reasonable extent of course. And, same thing goes for Mental Endurance. Like, you panic enough times, you start panicking less. You kill enough living people, and you'll eventually stop feeling so nauseous every time you do it. And instead of panicking, you'll eventually get used to it. Then there's only two ways to go from there, you either learn to fear it, and/or you learn to love it. No wrong way. But I am so fucked up right now. And I love you all, PEACE!
  20. Press edit on your op post and select use full editor. You can edit the title. Huh? In this moment, pretend I'm really stupid. In the bottom right of your first post. There is a button that says edit. Press it. It opens the edit window. Below that, there is a button that says Use Full Editor. Press it. It opens the full editor. On the top there is a text box that says topic title and below it is Hub ideas. Change Hub to Hud. Scroll down a bit. Below the text box is a button that says Submit Modified Post. Press it. Voilà! Thank you, that was very helpful and extremely hilarious , I really do appreciate it bud, peace and love.
