Hydro, I know you have lots on your belt and all, but I have done guerrilla warfare training through the U.S. Army, and have loaaaaaaads of experience in improvised chemistry (incendiary devices) and firearms. I could pile together all of the specific things they taught me, and all of it could even come from a book...say a Guerrilla Training Manual, then it would give some more pertinence to that gunsmithing book that you have in-game but doesn't do anything, It could teach barrel rifling through the wooden workbench, or you could craft a rifling machine as an add on to it.
Gunsmithing would also teach you all of the hand-loading recipes instead of knowing them right off the back.

Want me to give you more details? Are you interested at all? I do not intend on giving super amounts of detail just for safety reasons, but the simples.

For example, using bleach, a heat source, potassium chloride (Common Salt Substitute)
You can make Potassium Chlorate, a booster explosive much like plastic explosive.
It can be used for shape charges*destroying walls without a sledgehammer*
Making pressure sensitive mines *dealing with herds*
And remote explosives *think of something awesome to do with it*

Take a Steel Pipe, 5 rubber bands, Wood board, a saw, and boom, improvised shotgun, rifle, or handgun. Using 12 gauge, 223 rem/556nato or 7.62x54, and 9mm/45 respectively. And each one has to be made only for that caliber except for the 223 556 one

Take those gum wrappers (is that from your mod?) and a battery,  WOO now you have a one use prison match, good for a light for a cig or to start a much needed fire

Those are good examples lol...but i can do more. Engineering is fun after all

Note I had trouble logging into PZ-Mods.net website sicne it has been updated. Apprently it has a user name character limit of 10 so all i could type in was "Hydromance" and thus could not login to update the mod there. I emailed the site admin, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. Sorry for all non-steam people.

    Hydromancer,
I posted over in the artists thread a while ago about the issues with platinum ore, working titanium and working tungsten. I just started making lithium ingots in game, which struck me as a bit odd, because lithium is a Group I metal, like sodium and potassium. It's normally stored in mineral oil inside sealed glass vessels, to prevent things like... well, fire, explosions, death and the like. All the Group I metals react vigorously with water (like the water vapour in the air) and are generally very reactive. Lithium will actually float on water whilst on fire.
ETA: I've been experimenting with the coin press - would it be possible to amend the three recipes so that they can be made from the floor? The coin press weighs quite a lot, and juggling it and ingots can be a difficult at times.

I posted a cheat mod a couple pages back that can give you infinite carry weight to take care of this as an issue, to pickup/drop a wheelbarrow or the like so you can empty it out, and its toggleable
ill post the steam page again

    Hydro!!!
Those IBCs contain 275 gallons of water. THAT is why they are so heavy lol.
I am not sure what the ingame amount it stores is...But it still seems like a butt ton. Their whole purpose is industrial fluid or granulate substance storage. Reducing the weight seems a little....unbalanced. perhaps there is some sort of workaround for that situation?
Instead of you just plopping it wherever, treat it like you would a generator. You have to pick it up in both hands, and when it gets placed it becomes a part of the world rather than an item. It would remove alot of the issues people have with weight, and the context menu complications, also making the items place able in that sort of way would help loads with making things look....pretty, lol. Dont you agree?

    Second!
Me and the guy that has started making tutorial videos had a chat, and we brought up an interesting idea, not a possible cure but an extension to the inevitable, more appropriate for multiplayer servers.
Have you ever played Deadstate? If a survivor of yours was infected, they needed a daily dose of antibiotics, or after a few days they would die. Or zombrex from dead rising, also a daily thing. If something like that was implemented, antibiotics being rare in the general loot table, but fairly plentiful at hospitals/coleman, maybe craftable with large amounts of rotten food.
Then your could get into bacteria breeding, but like slowly overtime the virus becomes used to the antibiotics, or instead of that, the virus combined with high antibiotic usage weakens your immune system, infection risk is much higher, infections are far more deadly, and any other illnesses you contract WILL kill unless taken care of. ie. well fed, more antibiotics, good sleep. chicken soup etc lol

    THIRD!
Keep up the good work man, for being what seems to be a one man project youre holding up well,  what with the constant stream of bugs and ideas from your people here as well, if you need help with Anything give me a shout on steam Marachi Sore
