  1. Read my post, making a bow isn't as easy as tying a string to a stick. There are plenty of things that were made thousands of years ago that modern people have no idea how to do. Would you know how to use a loom if I set you down in front of it? I doubt it. Same thing here. Old doesn't mean easy. To be fair, I can make a bow. (not a fantastic bow but I almost guarantee I could hunt with it.) and I'm a complete moron. So if a complete moron can learn how to make a decent bow with the guidance of his grandma then a person who is only half a moron could surely do it. In other words, a guy who smothers his wife with a pillow trying to make her comfy... No names mentioned... >.> lol
  2. , not just good ol' fashioned 'Murican brilliance. Why's it gotta be American? Why you being racist and calling us smart and stuff?!?! Lol
  3. Dying right now. I love you *and* that comic. <3 Epic and intense nostalgia. They need to get story mode back ASAP. Must... Smother... Wife...
  4. I don't like comments that force ETA's but if it's okay with the devs then I voted NPC's .
  5. So, I was curious about this and I guess I should start by giving you my own personal experiences. The first time I ever heard about PZ was from Google I believe about I don't know, back in the days of the old graphics, story mode and baldspot back when NPC's were crazy gun toting lunatics in stores waiting for you to step in. I did some research and knew right away *this* was the zombie survival game I had been waiting for. However, what I didn't anticipate was the amount of time that would consume me anxiously anticipating and waiting for NPC's to be released. At that time I didn't realize the passion and heart going into this game and would have never perceived this type of excitement. Now, I admit my opinion on multiplayer was less that flattered at best. However, now that I've had time to grow accustomed to roleplaying servers and the varying degrees of character building that this game allows you to obtain I'm starting to *love* Project Zomboid even more. Also, I hope one day there will be a pure survival version with mods without zombies (as that was originally what I was looking for.) More of a society builder which to be fair PZ kind of is. That leads me to my next point and this one is important. How do *you* view PZ? Is it *just* an amazing zombie game? Because if that's your aspiration then you're seriously missing out. I see *so* much more. I don't even care about the zombies. I care about the humans, how people react in catastrophes. Zombies are just a background and I'll likely lessen them when NPC's come out to get the full entertainment out of the story telling elements. It's a society builder, where NPC's struggle from ashes to grow small settlements and keep them safe using teamwork, dedication and determination. I'm expecting (although, not entitled to.) see NPC's treat me as I'm just another person. To communicate directly and indirectly. To scare and ignore me to varying degrees depending on the situation. Now, all of this leads me to my other point which is this. I expect to be bombarded with moral decisions that don't necessarily have morality in them. For example, when I'm running on a food run and see a group pinned down by a horde of zombies (or hostile faction) the ability to intervene and save those people should bare down on you conscious. But more importantly to make you feel like you *do* have a say in the matter. "Do I want to potentially die saving these poor people." Or "Do I want to play it safe and just pass by unnoticed and not tussle with these here outlaws." (Who talks like that?) At the end of the day I want a meaningful play through that's unique each and every single time I fire up PZ. Anyway, sorry that was longer than you probably expected. Tell me what your opinion is and how you found PZ and what your initial thoughts on it were. If you want tell us what you plan for in the future !
  6. I don't think this is possible. I mean programming wise. Sounds complicated and I'm not even sure I understand what you're saying. xD
  7. I'm not sure why there's even a comment that's anti-bow in the first place. There's no need to be against it bruh. Get a bow, shoot a zed and chill with me while we laugh at how badly we shoot arrows and get eaten. Actually, I'm kidding of course, I'd trip you... But I'll laugh at you being eaten... That being said I'll take this time to suggest that arrows should be made using rocks and sticks. Feathers too I guess... Also, bows should be made using wood and a guitar string. That's right, I said it, a guitar string. Have it play music every time you shoot an arrow. I demand this. Demand very politely with the utmost respect of course. But none the less I demand it.
  8. It can be turned off by the admins of the server anyway. They can make everyone anonymous. This just makes it so they can just turn the masks on and you will know to shoot anyone in the masks on sight. No, it wouldn't be like DayZ because anyone shooting on sight without the mask will be exposed and anyone wearing the mask will be exposed for what they are and be shot anyway. So there's no chance of them tricking you into trust them just to shoot you and then getting away with it.
  9. is the thing about corpses confirmed? Definitely confirmed. Corpses will definitely make you sick at some point. That was the whole reason for adding burning corpses in the game. Not about the facewrap though. That was blasted taco's idea, good idea, but that bit hasn't been confirmed.
  10. Same with getting drunk. Being intoxicated seriously impairs your survivability.
  11. That's why I said "make boredom matter". I believe this is the end-game intent anyway - boredom/unhappiness will eventually have major in-game repercussions (inc. making it hard to interact with NPCs and possibly suicide). Hey, I get that the game isn't finished. That's why we have a suggestions thread. I was simply proposing one improvement to make the (currently OP) "isolation" strategy harder and thus more fun. But NPCs may do that all on their own - even if they do, I think "going stir crazy" should still be a problem you, as a survivor, need to solve to survive (and not just by going for a little walk in your enclosed garden and eating yet another campfire carrot stirfry). This "I believe this is the end-game intent anyway - boredom/unhappiness will eventually have major in-game repercussions (inc. making it hard to interact with NPCs and possibly suicide). " Answers this "I think "going stir crazy" should still be a problem you, as a survivor, need to solve to survive (and not just by going for a little walk in your enclosed garden and eating yet another campfire carrot stirfry). " You've answered your own question. Perhaps I'm not understanding what you're saying because if I am then you aren't thinking this through all the way. Let me clarify in case I didn't make myself clear. I'm not saying you're wrong by any stretch of the imagination. Rather, what I'm saying is that it sounds like you're just simply posting a suggestion you think is going to be corrected anyway and don't realize you're doing it. I'm probably wrong though because that seems so obvious that you probably wouldn't have missed it. What I'm thinking is I'm not understanding what you're saying and that's causing a gap in my understanding of your post. Does that make sense?
  12. Definitely needed. Facewrap can have multiple purposes. Keeping you slightly warmer, hiding your identity *and* keeping you from getting sick. xD I agree as far as cosmetics go but that's why this needs a purpose. It's more than cosmetic for multiple reasons.
  13. That's a great idea too but I always assumed those were planned anyway.
  14. So basically I was just going to suggest some new clothing. But that's too simple and oh how I love trolling the devs with ever more difficult concepts. So here we go dev team, challenge being offered to be accepted at your leisure. You can either add facewraps (using bandages and such to craft.) and ski masks. OR and here's the good part. You can add both of those *and* have them hide your identity in MP regardless of server settings for the sake of banditry. Now this can be over written by admin of server, but honestly, who would want to play on the server that did that?!?! Lol So come one and come all, challenge sent out!
  15. The radiation in Fallout is getting out of hand, even the Enclave is turning into ghouls. Thanks for giving me a mod idea for Fallout. Anytime Broski.
  16. Every zombie should have power armor and a laser rifle on them. That's the roll that I want. lol jk
  17. Water bottles would melt, but soda bottles wouldn't. Didn't realize there was a difference.
  18. Shovels are planned for burying people pretty sure.
  19. This would solve nothing. Boredom has no effect at all and thus this comment fixes absolutely nothing. This 'endgame' will be fixed when NPC's come out. However, if you're looking for a fix as the game stands then this still wont solve anything. Really, it's just an annoyance. Since boredom has no real effect than to take up screen space. The way zombies work is fine, always has been fine (although they have improved which is fantastic.) Rather, people *think* the game is broken when in reality it's not. It isn't finished, that's the problem. Not that it's broken. NPC's, vehicles, generators, etc. All of these things will migrate zombies and give you more zombies in the wilderness. NPC gets a vehicle, for some reason drives past your farm and boom a horde shows up and destroys your farmstead. See? Not broken, simply not complete.
  20. The bottle would melt, wouldn't it? They are all plastic.
  21. Oh so are you talking about something kind of like that one zombie game (forgot the name of it) but it was an arcade game? That's interesting, good comment sir. I don't know why I didn't like it before (I just read my previous comment.) but maybe I'm misunderstanding and I really don't like it, but idk.
  22. You know you play too much PZ when you go down your thread thumbing up so many people that "you met your quota for positive votes for the day." Didn't even know that was possible. o.O
  23. Reefer land, take my hand cause off we go to reefer land. Reefer land, reefer land driving in the reever van now I can, now I can, now can go to reefer land!
  24. Dragons are planned to be tamable. Never heard about the rest, but I know for sure you should be able to ride dragons.
