  1. More specifically I'm looking for the information that tell the refrigerator how to be a refrigerator.
  2. Yeah, Spending 20 minutes running for your life, Finally finding a safe place to rest and recover, then while your fortifying it you say to yourself "God I'm insanely bored!" An hour later your suffering from crippling depression. Now you can't sleep more that an hour without waking up in a panic. That doesn't sound like a well balanced person to me. Seriously though if someone knows how to disable or permanently dial back the moodles please let me know... Also miss-pressing Q when I meant to press 1 had happened to me often enough that I rebound shout and horn from Q to F12. Haven't accidentally shouted or honked since.
  3. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not because I've changed my game play a bit. I use to spend most my time outside in a tent in the PZ world. Just recently I cleared out a house and tried living in it. As I was sorting some Items and setting up the house as a base my character went from bored to severely depressed in like a couple of hours. I thought there might just be a glitch in the game but it happened again when I was in doors setting up another base. As I mentioned before I've always lived off the land in previous games. If this isn't a bug then please let me know how to disable or tone down the moodles on my character because this isn't even close to normal. Going inside with four walls should bring on a sense of safety not boredom and sever depression. I get it if the character wasn't moving around, maybe just sitting in a chair for two days strait that might make anyone a little unhappy. My character was moving around though, Sorting items, moving furniture, cooking food, reading skill magazines.

    Well Ztocked

Developers, thank you so much... I'm so excited for Mapdoid. I've always run a second computer logged into https://map.projectzomboid.com. It will be a welcome change to not have to do that. Also I'm so impressed with the straight forward simple interphase. If you change nothing else about it I'd still be happy to use it. I like the full screen aspect of the map. Maps are large, they should be full screen. Someone commented that you'd be vulnerable reading it. To that I say yeah but that's what reading a map in real life is like. It takes up all your attention and vision. You should probably be in a fairly safe area when using it. If that's not possible then keep an ear open and listen for approaching zombies. I assume that starting player motion will break you out of looking at the map so you can make a break for it if you do happen to hear something. This was the single biggest thing I've wished for since the earliest builds of PZ. So again... A truly heart felt thank you. Eldergamer
  5. And as usual GOG still doesn't have it available for download yet as of 01/22/2021. Typical... I love and support their DRM free mission but when it comes to updating the downloads for our games they move like honey in winter.
  6. I will answer my own questions for anyone who may be interested. The following mods are still compatible with PZ 41.43: CureWildMeatV2.1 SurvivalBreadV2 As far as the "SweaterStrings" mod goes it is no longer relevant as the command "Rip Clothing" now provides thread. Eldergamer
  7. Thanks for responding Caturday and Yes... That's exactly it. I'm not sure what you mean by visual bug. If you mean that it's just an illusion then I'd have to disagree because it's functional. What I mean is when it says it has 80 capacity I could put 80's worth of items in it. If it was just a visual artifact that was reporting 80 but only capable of taking 32's worth of items then it would just stop at 32. Eldergamer
  8. What I mean by that is often when I find a vehicle that is damage. Let's say the trunk is at 12 percent condition and the capacity says 80 and I've temporally placed items weighing 50 in the trunk. When I return to retrieve the items the trunk might change to 32 capacity. Now it's says 50 of 32 so the weight of my items in the trunk now exceed the maximum capacity of the trunk. I know it sounds strange but it happen all the time. Eldergamer
  9. Could someone explain the difference between Distributions.lua and ProceduralDistributions.lua ? Thanks in advance, Eldergamer
  10. Thank you for responding EnigmaGrey. Yeah it's been annoying me for the longest time but after your explanation I do understand why they did it now. Also like you I see the vehicles falling into place as well. It's a relief to know that it's not just me seeing it. With that said I do hope they give it a bit more priority then new bling and hair dye as it affects game play where bling and hair dye do not. On another subject, do you know if there has ever been any mention from the devs of reusable ladders? It would be great not to have to build a stair case every time I want to get to the roof or second story of a structure. Thanks again Eldergamer
  11. Thank you for your response Pandorea. It is somewhat aggravating to see new systems implemented while the oldest bugs are not the priority. EnigmaGrey says that it was intentionally done to solve another issue so they leave it as is for now. I'm annoyed but the pie did make it better. Tnanks Eldergamer
  12. I made a post about this a while ago and no one seemed interested. I have to mention it again though because it causes problems when your trying to do things with vehicles. One time I was working on a truck I just needed a new battery. I spent a few days in game looking for a good Heavy duty battery and finally found one. When I went back to the truck it had crept far enough forward into another vehicle that I couldn't get to the front of it anymore to open the hood and work on it. Another time I was in a theater parking lot and there where dozens of vehicles there. They were all parked correctly. I spent a few weeks in game in that general area and every time I went back to the parking lot it got worse and worse. Eventually most the vehicles were in a mass. Most were right up against each other so that it made it hard or even impossible to get to them. They don't move while your on the screen they move a small amount when your not. It's not obvious at first but after a while vehicles will have moved so far that you can't miss it. I won't name a version because it happens on every version I've installed since vehicles were introduced. I never see anyone talk about it though. I was starting to think it was just my system. Now I've installed PZ on my notebook and my work pc. I started new games on each and played for a while. It happens every time on every machine and as I mentioned earlier it's been happening since vehicles were introduced. Up until recently I just blamed it on my mods but I've converted from 40.43 to 41.40. I've done a fresh install and a new game with no mods and it still happens. What I'm guessing is happening is when the cars fall into place after reloading an area they bounce a bit when they land. My guess is that they're moving a little each time. I would appreciate if someone on the dev team would talk about this a little bit and let us know what's been done to correct it or why it can't be corrected. Thanks Eldergamer
  13. I'm coming from 40.43 and I've been using these mods forever. I'd like to keep using them but I realize that the game has undergone significant changes from 40.43 to 41.40. The mods are as follows: CureWildMeatV2.1 SurvivalBreadV2 SweaterStrings Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Eldergamer
  14. I'm responding to multiple post in this post because it seems I can post but not reply to posts at the moment. Not sure why. I've tried both Waterfox and Chrome but neither seem to make a difference. I'll have to post a troubleshooting request about it on another part of the forum. Unless anyone knows what going on then please let me know. Awesome 😀 Thank you for your replay. It looks like I need to speak to GOG about updating again. This is not the first time they moved like molasses in December. I spoken with them about this very thing before. They admitted it was them and that they were working on the issue. That was several years ago if memory serves. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Eldergamer
  15. Released 41.40 July 30th... It's 9pm Aug 9th still not on GOG... Come on...
  16. Update, It turns out my theory was wrong. It had nothing to do with the number of floor tiles. Pandorea was correct. I tried several more builds and indeed you must have at least wall frames on all four sides and a door frame. The door as well as enclosing the wall frames is optional. Thanks again for the help. Eldergamer
  17. First off thanks again for the suggestions from Pandorea and R.Young. I'm actually on the other side of the map of the base I showed in the example earlier. I used another satellite base on the edge of the map. I decided to add-on to the side of the second floor of an existing building. I more or less built a veranda off the right side. I placed the floor then created a second floor made of wooden flooring and roofing. The same as I did in the previous example. It didn't work back then. Using Pandoreas suggestion I went back and walled it all in. Unfortunately that didn't work. I was going to also try R.Youngs suggestion and build walls around the staircase but I only had a sheet rope access to the second floor for space reasons so that was out. Ultimately I was successful in keeping the rain out but as near as I could tell it had nothing to do with walls or having a door. It seems that with or without walls the only way to keep rain from getting in is to match the floor tiles to the roof tiles. In other words if I have 8 floor tiles I need 8 floor or roof tiles directly above them. I tested this theory buy knocking out one tile on the other side of the building I created and that was all it took to unseal it. No matter where you knock a second floor tile out the entire upper floor became ineffective at stopping the elements. When I added the tile back on the second floor to plug the hole the entire second floor functioned as a roof again. What I think I was doing wrong on all the others I tried was I wasn't matching floor tiles to ceiling tiles. I was building lofts for lack of a better term. I'd have say 24 floor tiles but only 12 second floor tiles just covering the areas I was living in. That just simply isn't enough. I've now built another building matching the floor tiles to the second floor tiles and I was protected from the weather in that building as well. My theory seems to be working for now. Just some other things I observed when testing these theories out. Existing structures are just different animals then player built structures. What I mean is the rules as I've noted above don't apply to existing structures. I can knock a hole in any of their roofs and it will only let the rain in directly under the hole I made. The rest of the structure stays completely dry so keep that in mind. With that in mind a Veranda in my opinion is really the best option when building custom structures. You get the best of both worlds. You get the stability of an existing structure which seems to be governed by different in game laws and with the Veranda you get open air to run generators without asphyxiating. On the second floor of the Veranda you can grow crops or set animal traps. So that's my findings. Hope this helps someone else when they run into it. Thanks again to Pandorea and R.Young Eldergamer
  18. Thanks for your reply, It would be great if I only need walls around the staircase. I'm going to give that a try. Eldergamer
  19. I don't mind sharing at all. Unfortunately it's a foggy day in game but here is a snap of one of my satellite bases on the edge of town. Notice I put in a second floor for both storage and food procurement purposes. I also thought it would give me cover from rain and snow. It does not. If I stand under it I still get wet. I thought maybe the floor wasn't enough so I installed metal roofing above areas I'd be standing under. Still no joy... Completely ineffective. Eldergamer
  20. Character created cover from the elements doesn’t seem to do anything. I’ve created second floors above my base and it offered no cover from rain or snow. I’ve created metal roof laying it down on the second floor and standing beneath it does nothing. There doesn’t seem to be any way to create cover from the elements as the main character. The only option is to make your base under the roof of an existing structure. Is this happening to anyone else? I am running GOG PZ 40.43 Eldergamer
  21. I've reinstalled the GOG PZ version 40.43 completely stock on (No Mods) a new computer. I played it all day and once again the vehicles slowly over time move out of their parking spots. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. They just randomly end up moving around little by little over time. I've supplied a screenshot of what I'm talking about. All four vehicles where perfectly in their parking spots. All four vehicles have moved away from the curb. The two Corvettes have not only moved away from the curb they are also turning sideways. I'd really like a Dev to respond to this. I wouldn't mention it but it's interfering with game play. Eventually the vehicles in parking lots end up bunched together so tight I can't access them anymore.
  22. I've seen that as well. There was a car next to a building and over time little by little it moved so close to the building that the graphics started clipping through the wall of the building. It seems to happen upon loading when the cars fall into place. They seem to bounce a little. That bounce causes them to move just a little one way or the other. Eldergamer
  23. Thanks for the response. I do use mods and unfortunately I'm not sure if it was happening before the mods. The mods I'm running are: Cure Wild Meat v2.1, Survival Bread v2, Sweater Strings (There is no version number associated to sweater strings that I can see). I'm sure it's possible that the mods are interfering but I'm not sure what any of them would have to do with vehicle placement upon loading. But... If it's not something others are experiencing then I guess the only random elements here are my mods. I guess I'm going to need to install the game on another computer and play the stock version to see if the issue persists. I'll let you know yay or nay. Eldergamer
  24. I tried searching this out first but I wasn't sure what Devs were calling this phenomenon. I call it "Vehicle Hop". That's assuming it happens to anyone other than me. I'm using GOG PZ Version 40.43. What's happening is that vehicles are not staying exactly where they were after loading. Every time I load a game the vehicles move just a little bit. In the case of parking lots eventually they're all bunched together so closely that I can't get to them. Is it something that's being worked on or is it just happening to me? Thanks Eldergamer
