  1. @Bobchaos Nice suggestions, do you think of somethiing like this with the handpump, http://tinyurl.com/oylah9c ? If yes, I think it would be a nice addition also for farmlands and construction sites, but I think cars or vehicles are far away so let´s wait - first we can maybe pull around refidgerators and things like seen in the mondoid( but when I remember my last housemoving, we nearly killed us as we tried to pull such a thing upstairs...)
  2. Dear Mr Rathlord, please don´t tell me what to do and what don´t to do, I read the IWBUMS terms and I know that the game is in an early stage - specialy in the IWBUMS. Maybe I overreacted a little bit but to suggest to "removed yourself from IWBUMS. Thanks." sounds a little bit ... In other post people wrote the same experiance on the increased zombie numbers. But enough on that. @leolvanov I tried your tip on the beginner-mode works ok, seems to be the old "few" zombie mode from sandbox...
  3. Ok, I know it an alpha beta or what ever but I play games to have fun and not to get frustrated... What happend I tried a few times sandbox first on normal zombiecount and was killed nearly instant just right out of the starter house, then tried it with few zombiecount nearly the same in my second try again instant killed. I understand that you want to make the game harder and challenging but as of now I think of quiting the game and use my time for more usefull things. When around every house are 3 to 8 zombies (and more are comming if you try to kill them) where is the fun where is the "fairness" ?
  4. I knew the thing with the multiplier from the skillbooks, on the first book I got +3. My avatar has no proffession or hobby - if I calculate right I have to cut down 75 trees and saw 150 logs of wood (seems that barricading windows gains me no points at all) to advance to carpentry lvl2. So to go to lvl 3 I need 450 (225 Trees - 550 logs) point if I´m right and so on that can´t be right or am I doing something wrong beside choseing the wrong skills for single player ? Didn´t thought it is intendet to allways choose carpentry skills ....
  5. Just a smal question, I startet new today and wnted to know if it´s right that my avatar only get´s one or two points in carpentry, even when read the skill books. Also is it intended that Wall can only be build at lvl 3 ? Looks like a lot of grinding and that´s a thing I don´t like in games...
  6. Yes, if I don´t mow for one month I will see the grass grows up to 50cm depending on what sort of of gras is used, but that are only experince i made - didn´t now that you have such monsterous gras in the USA but you never stop learning. To the decay of houses, ok I did a little research and learned that in the USA houses are only build very "light" so I correct myself and agree a house must decay in a few days and has to collapse at around one month at the latest. I also apologize for the freezers - stupid idea you are right when there is no electricity even no solar, generators, wind, etc. they are useless so no need and the basement ok think it´s also useless too if the houses collapse in one month .
  7. It´s a great game so far (premium beta) added Kryten 2x4b 523p (Red dwarf ? Nice books, too bad the series never made it to germany... ) and Nasko. Ingame Earl Basset...
  8. I´m not so sure if this is a good idea, in reality I drive every day past a abdoned house on my way to work but it takes years for nature to wear it down(about 8 years now). So this had to be handled very carefully by the devs because its a very slow process. Seasons on the other hand sound like a quite good thing, if there are possibilitys to get the player warm (heater, winter cloth (maybe made from hunting ?),...) Some completely different question: aren´t there in the USA no deep freezers ? Or Basements in the buildings ? Don´t know but as a nation so paranoid I think at least every second would have his falloutvault under his house stuffed with rations an weapons ... And there could be food stored over a long time.
  9. Is this a Monty Python reference? X= Yeap And another one “'Tis but a scratch' 'A scratch?! Your arm's off!' 'No, it isn't.'”
  10. Hopefully you mean flour, yeast, sugar, salt and water. But sugar isn´t realy nessasary look here: http://tinyurl.com/pykces6 realy simple bread (sorry it´s in german but you can translate via google) But now to something not completely different, what about pizza, all you need for a simple pizza ist the dough (flour, salt, yeast, water) and something to put on tomato for the sauce, ham and cheese - or is it in and I havn´t seen ?
