  1. I have a dedicated PC to set up stand alone servers. There are several Project Zomboid servers installed via SteamCMD. Often, players (and I) see revealed map areas and marking on the maps carry over between different servers. I have tried isolating servers from each other by installing the servers in separate folders with different server names (eg the 'servername' parameter in the StartServer64 bat file and therefore different ini and SandboxVar.lua files in the Zomboid/Server folder ). The only thing I can think of that may tie map data between two servers is that the players use the same Account Usernames on all of the servers so it is easier for each player to remember (one of my players swaps PCs every so often). How can map data be kept isolated from one server to the next? Thank you.
  2. I have been running a dedicated server for myself and some friends for the past few months. Last night a friend and I went to play last night and he was unable to log in, receiving a message that the username/password could not be found. We found this post on the Steam forum that seamed to suggest that we could reset his character password and not loose his character, but he had to create a new character anyway. Not sure if this was the wrong way to go or if something went wrong. Although the server is public, we only use it with friends. I am not concerned with security beyond having a server password. I am wondering what settings I could be using to make things easier so that we don't have to worry about character loss. Is there some way I can use the whitelist to make things easier? Does character corruption sometimes happen (since PZ is easly access)? We are having a blast and really love the game, but loosing a character to a password problem after 60 hours of play is kind of a downer. Appreciate any advice.
  3. I am a big supporter of realism in a game like PZ, but not if it lessens the fun-factor for a majority of players. I think that this is one of those things. I hope that PZ implements a Hardcore or Realism mode that players can select. If that is the case, I think it would be great if they had this as an option...and since there is already a trait for Hard of Hearing, I do not think that this would be difficult to implement as a temporary condition when higher calibur weapons are fired by the player or very close to the player.
  4. These bottles would be a nice little addition to office buildings and a good find when you do come across one, but I think game balance would be better if they were fairly uncommon as many could have already been taken by survivors. Also, they should not fit in a backpack. Instead, they could be implemented as their own carrying device that can only contain liquid. However, one question that may need to be decided is what happens when you add different liquids to the bottle such milk, water, alcohol, soda, etc...
