  1. "Different varieties of Marijuana. Some increase the need for sleep, others will make you happier, others mitigate pain, etc.." Perhaps have a trait (+3 points) that lets you identify the strand / type of marijuana and it's affects? (-Pain, +Tired, etc) Good mod I very support +1
  2. I personally don't see why these aren't in the game, or aren't already being added/on a to-do list (Don't crucify me if they are, I haven't checked) But, that being said, +1 this should be in the game
  3. I've personally never found any weapon besides an Axe and a kitchen knife on zombies bodies. I do agree though, guns should be incredibly rare to be found on zombies, same with axes as they'd both be dropped most of the time when the zombification happens. Knives could be anywhere from stuck in the zombies voice box to in his pants, so they make a lot more sense to be carried around. Also, Axes are used as a blade weapon, so if you're not using blunt weapons this game they should still be available to you
  4. I think/hope a lot of aesthetics will be added to the forest like rocks, small creeks, etc... Things that are there for visual but don't really affect the game play And then there's also features that WOULD affect gameplay: Wilderness noise that cuts out the faint footsteps of wandering zombies, or the light moan of a nearby zed... And other things which I'm not gonna say cause right now I'm thick
  5. Name: Alex Cartty Race: Caucasian Age(18 to 40): 26 Role/Division: Field Medic Character bio: Born and raised in the cold, northern land of Canadia. At the start of the outbreak, Alex was travelling through the states on a tour of many large hospitals to speak with surgeon generals, medics who've served in wars and other people who interested him in his field of medicine. Being caught in an unfamiliar area when shit started to hit the fan, Alex panicked a bit more than was necessary and locked himself up in a small house just outside of the small town he was in. Two days into the outbreak, a small group of survivors stumbled upon his safe house and, going against his gut, he let them into his safe house and saved their lives. There were 4 people he saved in total, two of them were ex-police officers going to the police station in town to try and salvage guns and gear to survive, Alex tagged along with them because he was bored sick of being in his safe house eating nothing but canned goods and what was left in the house. Going into town made Alex realize how bad this outbreak was, after many hours of sneaking around, dodging behind corners and not breathing for long minutes, they finally arrived at the police station entrance, Alex grabbed the door with his left hand (Right was currently taken up by a pocket knife he always has) and tugged. "Shit, it's locked" -Story commences from here- Time Zone: EST [-4] Usually Online: When I wanna be Ninjedit: Are other players going to join or is just going to be the National Guard/force of players on the server?
  6. Part time murderin' - full time escaping

  7. -snip- However, i will take what you said into memory and if it comes up again by several other people, then i will consider changing. -snip- This little sentence right here is enough for me to follow this thread and 100% download this mod the day it comes out. Good customer service sir, I wish you all the best of luck and I'll continue to throw any suggestions your way!
  8. Seems like this has some very serious potential! Just a few things though: The various types of pop (sprite and whatnot) seems a bit overboard, I love immersion, depth, variety and whatnot, but different flavors of pop just seems like a bit... Much. I believe that types of food (Chips, pop, etc) should just be left as a "general item" (not specifics) Besides this (And maybe too many types of guns, it could get confusing and just be a hassle) this mod seems to have a lot of potential!
  9. Hopefully getting into D&D games again!

  10. I can just imagine it... Running into a forest to try and escape a horde after you had to use your gun for an emergency Tripping over rocks, getting whipped by branches and falling into small grooves or ditches since it's so dark
  11. -snip- I think it would be realistic. In the lonely post-apocalyptic world of Project Zomboid, you would become quite used to the near silence. The only sounds you would hear would be your own breath, the wind blowing around you, and the low moaning and groaning of zombies. The sound produced by explosive thunder claps and bellowing thunder rolls would be extra harsh on your ears and probably frighten you even more, especially if you are being chased down by a horde or holed up in the darkness of a house. The flash of lighting can also be stunning, and, if you are caught out in the dark, it may even cause your eyes to readjust to the quick flash of light and temporarily blind you while you fumble through the dark. Thunder and lighting may seem like nothing to us, but it can be a cold dose of dread and fear for a lonely survivor of the apocalypse. Exactly, the flash of light may make you see shadows, muffle footsteps, create discomfort, etc... You're thinking about zombies sneaking up on you and that weather certainly adds to the ominous nature, I'd be scared shitless personally...
  12. If you go here,(http://pz-mods.net/weapons-items/RealisticKentuckyFirearmsAPOCALY/) beside each gun there's the bullet type, sometimes it's a bit confusing but you'll get the hang of it without too much trouble if you look closely.
  13. Just a question Do pistols/gun that do less damage and use more ammo (.22 LR, Ruger MKII handgun) also make less noise? I'm not sure if that's the case in real life or not but that'd be pretty handy if they did (pretty sure not though) Also, do the guns have different sound levels or are they all either just shotgun or pistol distance?(soundwise)
  14. Starting a brand new save/character with this mod, (not AE), hopefully I can find sheet metal this time!!
  15. as of yet, this server is a WIP, or more of a plan than a real thing just yet! But don't go far, it should be here soon
  16. -snip- -snip- It isn't really doable because containers are only seperated by types. You could make it so only a couple guns can spawn in wardrobes, only a couple in bathroom counters, etc. But It's not really the variety that's doing it because proportionally the guns spawn rates aren't changing like you would expect them to. For example if you set the spawn rate of gun in a specific container to be 1 and then change it to .1 you would expect it to spawn 10 times less numerically. But from my tests this is not the case, and even when testing spawn rates at .0000000001 on all weapons for wardrobe spawns I am still getting 1-4 weapons per wardrobe and 1-4 ammunition types. Can you tell me real quick where you are finding these spawn rates? I wanna look at them to make sure sheetmetal spawns in my world...
  17. -snip- As far as sheet metal's spawn locations, make sure to check industrial buildings (think warehouses or storage) and the occassional trash bin Hmm, have been checking those kinda places lately (just found my sledgehammer and some buckets finally) I haven't found any sheetmetal at all, is there anyway I can craft it, or any known bugs of sheetmetal not spawning if I have other mods activated with this one? (I have no idea what else it could be, maybe i'm just really really unlucky with that sheetmetal?) Also, the problem with the guns spawning because there's so much selection makes a lot of sense. If there was a way to make sure only a single gun could spawn in each container that would probably make it a lot more reasonable, only 1 gun can spawn in each container and only 2 or 3 different types of ammo maybe? No idea if possible, but if done I could see that really helping with the rarity of guns from this mod!
  18. There's a wooden dowels mod which i'm currently using and lets you create structures out of them, they're made from logs so it's an alternative for nails!! Here's the link: http://pz-mods.net/weapons-items/WoodenDowels/
  19. I had all the mods already installed before I created a new survival game Am still in the survival game (with no tweaked settings or anything) and haven't updated the mod yet, doing that now and then restarting my game.
  20. Using this mod and loving it, but a few things I've noticed are that finding guns is REALLY easy, every single household's cabinet has at least 2 guns in it, it kinda takes away from feeling powerful when you do finally get ahold of a firearm. And, where is sheet metal gotten from? I think I've seen it around but now that I'm setup at my farm/safehouse and I want it to make shelves, I can't find it or where to get it and think I'm just missing something basic
  21. Ooohh, if the train needed at least 4 full cans of gas (20 lbs of gas) and your character had to find a very rare, only spawns at one random point in the map, manual or something... I could see this being a very rare nearly endgame thing which you could use as a portable safehouse almost... This could be a huge thing, if the inside of the train was a mini house with a tent and stuff... +1 for this idea, has just about endless possibilities if it's done right!
