  1. Right, it doesn't need to be a foldout one, two sticks and a twine should work as well. I use sometimes just a chair irl to dry dish towels.
  2. This please: Just some planks and twine would be enough to get dry towels with carpentry.
  3. What about? This is how you learned to survive! - If you're a new player, start here... This is how you survived on your own! - For the intermediate player. Choose from presets... This is how you died! - The true, brutal and bloodthirsty Zomboid survival... Last Stand - Should be separate, cause its another game style When I first started PZ I saw this scary but promising sentence "THIS IS HOW YOU DIED". And I did die about 100 hundred times in the first 5-10 hours of gameplay. I was proud when I managed to survive just one 1 day. But this didn't scare me away, it was a challenge and finally, I have learned to survive. Now after 500 hours of PZ, I need "8 months after" settings to have the same pleasant challenge. So I really appreciate the new changes in game difficulty cause they really increase my chance of dying as promised - well as you said "THIS IS HOW I DIED".
  4. and WEREWOLVES! Well, a research in the US National Library of Medicine yield to 2429 scientific articles on the use of silver in wound treatment (for an review on the history of silver in medical use see Alexander, 2009). However, no results were found for the use of silver against werewolves. So don't count on silver if you have to deal with werewolves .
  5. Pretty sure it has to be a specific grade of silver to have antibiotic properties. And this seems to be specificly for silver-impregnated fabric dressings? Sure if you can have silver nitrate, it is more usefull than just silver. But if you make a kind of powder of silver and add this to the bandage or wound dressing, it works as well. I wouldn't recommend it when you have antibiotics. However, if you have an infected wound in a zombie apocalypse and no antibiotics are available, I would give it a try. It might prevent you from getting a sepsis.
  6. If antibiotics are not available silver (e.g., jewlery, silverware, coins) can be used to treat infected wounds (http://www.worldwidewounds.com/2006/may/Maillard/Focus-On-Silver.html).
  7. I have observed the following issue: I had cut my hand, so I desinfected, stiched, bandaged it and ate something to get full health back. Since it was still painfull, I took some painkillers (about half a package). However, painkillers didn't seem to have any effect on the pain moodle or the pain strenghts reported in the medical system. Pain finally stopped after some hours ingame time. After the next injury (same wound), I didn't take painkillers, but the pain was gone as fast as with pain killers. Are painkillers anyhow affected by the new medical system? Do I need to wait longer for painkillers to reduce pain or do I need to take even more painkillers for deep wounds?
  8. How to remove the stiches? I stiched my left hand. I recognized that I can choose "remove stich" in treatment menu. However, a green bar shows that an action is processed, but my hand is still stiched afterwards.
  9. I agree! And I think erosion proceeds a bit to fast, after 1 month it already looks like people have left this area one year ago.
  10. Very much do not want. Don't feel people should be punished when they have to grind just to level up. I'd rather mistakes be by the user: letting food cook too long and start a fire, for example. It should be about a 10% chance right now. Wouldn't want it to be more than that until there's actually a way to clean a window sill of glass . . . should be relatively difficult to injure yourself doing this unless you're in a mad panic to get through it. I totally agree that a 10% chance is high enough and shouldn't be higher. However, atm neither panic nor being exhausted seem to make climbing through broken windows more risky. I would appreciate if this is related to moodles. I counted the times getting injured and I climbed through broken windows 567 times so far. So it seems that I am a lucky bastard, cause my chance of getting injured is just 1.4% (Independent of moodles like "strong panic" or "exhausted" being present).
  11. Although I frequently climbed through broken windows, I just managed to get cut by glass once (1 time in 75 tries while beeing heavily loaded). Am I a lucky bastard or is the probability of this injury set too low? Is it possible to associate the risk of injuries with some moodlets? For example, panic and tiredness are associated with a higher risk of injuries.

  13. First, again you did a great job . However, I haven't had the chance to use the new medical system yet, cause I did not get any injuries (didn't jump intentionally from first floor, but frequently climbed through broken windows). The chance of accidences might need to be tweaked. But I'll try with intentionally injuring my char to see how medical care works out. Another small question: Does the "night owl" trait still affects the sleeping duration in Build 30 or is the duration just based on your tiredness?
  14. More causes of injuries like risk of ankle sprain if you are running through the woods and fields or cutting yourself with a knife accidently while cooking. Nobody should underestimate the danger of household accidents - not even in a zombie apocalypse.
  15. If you can't heat your water, then the following thing might be the solution: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_water_disinfection Solar water disinfection is a type of portable water purification that uses solar energy to make biologically-contaminated (e.g. bacteria, viruses, protozoa and worms) water safe to drink. Process for household application: Process for household application:Colourless, transparent PET water or soda pop bottles (2 litre or smaller size) with few surface scratches are chosen for use. The labels are removed and the bottles are washed before the first use.Water from contaminated sources is filled into the bottles. To improve oxygen saturation, bottles can be filled three-quarters, shaken for 20 seconds (with the cap on), then filled completely and recapped. Very cloudy water with a turbidity higher than 30 NTU must be filtered prior to exposure to the sunlight.Filled bottles are then exposed to the sun. Bottles will heat faster and to higher temperatures if they are placed on a sloped sun-facing corrugated metal roof as compared to thatched roofs. The treated water can be consumed directly from the bottle or poured into clean drinking cups. The risk of re-contamination is minimized if the water is stored in the bottles. Refilling and storage in other containers increases the risk of contamination.Minimum treatment duration depends on weather: 6 hours for sunny days, 2 days if its rainy and cloudy. But for Kentucky rainwater harvesting is probably the easiest way to get safe water.
