  1. Two interesting bugs with Build 29: 1) I spawned in a fenced-in construction yard. Then discovered that my character could not climb the chain-link (or privacy) fences. Unfortunately, the zeds could so it was like someone had rung the dinner bell... 2) When editing the character in sandbox mode, when you select both stubble and chest hair, your character is forced to be dark skinned. Any other settings and you can be either light or dark skinned.
  2. Well, it's almost impossible to keep Build 28 running without warm resetting every couple of hours. I plan on keeping the server off until Build 29 goes live; then we can try this experiment again. Sorry for the inconvenience, but hopefully it won't be much longer before 29 goes live.
  3. Sorry - I've been out of town and the PZ server apparently needs lots of love and care. I came back and it had died. I've fired it back up so hopefully it'll stay up for a while longer...
  4. Build 28 Linux server with 24 ports open. Regardless of number of people logged in (seen it with 3, 6, and 8 users), a person can be playing and if they disconnect or get disconnected and try to log in again they can't with an "Already connected" error. I attempt to Kick them and that doesn't help. I bounce the server and then they are able to connect. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a work around?
  5. Hmmm... That's strange. I see you as logged in, but don't see you as active. It looks like yours is the only account that hasn't logged out properly. I'll bounce the server shortly so hopefully you'll be able to log in again.

  7. Excellent - well, let me know if you have any difficulties. Right now there are about a dozen people, the server load is less than 10%, and I have the cap set to 32. Some of the guys started a base in the Mall to the North, but the Zeds bashed the door in and I locked my self in the bathroom.
  8. KarenB88, do you mind sharing your configs with us? I set my xml to certain params, started the server, and the configurations dont take.
  9. I just set up a PZ Server. Connect to it at lastmiledemo.com:16261 This is a totally vanilla server. Server is on Central Time. Server is up 24/7 except during maintenance periods. This server is associated with www.apoc-media.com - feel free to contact me there if you have suggestions. Gary Rules: No cheating, no mods, no spawn killing, no racism or grieving. Individual players may only shoot on sight if its a role-play element (e.g., someone looting your base, or being a bandit and stealing goods at gunpoint then letting them go, etc.). Pick a nickname or real name for role-play purposes. If you want to start a fraction or group feel free to post your intentions. Do not go around burning the map down for fun. Accidental fires, cleared buildings, or fire pits for zombies are fine. Do not place walls or barricades in warehouses, gun shops, gun lodges or ranges, police department or in the vicinity of these buildings. These places won't respawn loot if this rule is broken.
  10. This is a great idea. We used to have a compost pile that we grew huge earthworms in for fishing. Container, grass clippings, and vegetable skins/old food. You could throw dead rats in as well (not that we had any dead rats)...
  11. The first thing I would do is take all of the interior doors in my house of their hinges and use them to barricade the windows. It'd be nice to be able to take the doors either as/is as a building material or as described above. This would require a VERY persistent zombie or an NPC with an axe to get in.
  12. ...it would be nice if something is currently equipped and in a collection of other items, the equipped item didn't get transferred first (or at all). For example. My character is wearing a pair of shoes. I pick up 3 more pairs of shoes and go to move them to my closet. For some reason, the first one that gets moved is the pair that I'm wearing. It would be better to make that the LAST item that gets moved. Alternatively, it would be acceptable if something has to be unequipped or unworn in order for it to be moved to a container.
  13. It would be nice to be able to "tag" (spraypaint with a symbol) a building. This would be used to mark buildings as being cleared or a particular clan's property (for multiplayer). This would save me from having to leave doors open or mark them with pillows... It would also be nice to be able to "tear down" a building to recover wood for building walls, boarding windows, and constructing other objects (windmills, towers, etc.). You would be able to gather wire and tubing as well. Similarly, it would be nice to be able to burn a building down if it were wood.
