  1. would love to see dozers but they should be much much slower than sunday driver. they basically go at a walking pace irl. totally agree they should be very loud (engine and tracks will screech) and consume large volumes of fuel. basically moving one around the map will be dangerous and very high effort.
  2. I like the idea of finding "background stories" in the game that give you hints about the origin of the outbreak. just little things like radio transmissions from survivors, notes on the desk of a lab building, an overturned truck on the highway with biohazard containers onboard. things like that. Would be fun to have it randomly set at the start of each play through so you get a different mysterious cause for the outbreak each time. The result is the same each time though obviously. one of my favorite things when i first played the Resident Evil games was reading the notes and diaries of different people from the lead up to the outbreak. it made the world feel larger than the confined space I was wandering. like it there was history to this world.
  3. I think all bladed weapons should be able to repair a bit using a sharpening stone. but also broken blade weapons should be repairable using scrap metal + lvl 10 metal working. at lvl 10 you are basically a modern day master blacksmith, so why not craft swords from scratch too?
  4. +1 cool idea, would like to be able to attach to a rifle or shotgun too. should give slightly higher aiming speed too.
  5. I think fear-of-heights people should be able to live on second floor, but can gain panic moodle if they are near a open window or roof top for too long. would basically make rooftop farming and building much much harder. sleeping in a second floor room with the windows and curtains closed should be fine though.
  6. agree. +1 nice to have more uses for paint tins.
  7. agree. +1 maybe a box or a bag to keep animals/rain out.
  8. nice idea. maybe the occasional broken window? slight chance of fire from dry lightning? +1
  9. agree - there is loads of paint tins in the game. would make them much more useful. painting with a brush should take a long time, look bad. patchy and thin in some spots. each coat of the same color should look slightly better than the last. could also add a spray gun to paint i the whole car evenly in one pass. +1
  10. you're only trying to stop bites and scratches not bullets. (or are you?) I also don't think a full suit of plate armor would be practical either but simply reinforcing wrists and ankles would be totally reasonable in the circumstances and not too heavy by any means. I'm thinking of 1mm thick steel or AL sheet, about 20cm square, hammered into a 'tube' to wrap around the wrist or ankle with a magazine underneath for rigidity. it wouldn't be too heavy and would certainly be enough to stop teeth from sinking in. magazine / comic book + duct tape = wrist/ankle brace. ballpeen hammer + small metal sheet + wrist brace + duct tape = reinforced brace. It should significantly lower the chance of getting lacerations, bites, scratches, on the wrist or ankle when worn. In orienteering class in high school, we were taught to make emergency splints for fractures and sprains out of rolled up magazine or newspaper before moving a patient. Would be good if this would give you slightly faster movement if you have a sprain or fracture.
  11. I think the guns should deteriorate if buried for long periods. maybe you would need to prepare them with greasy rags before storage? another use for cooking oil? and then clean them afterwards?
  12. in a past build I went a long perilous mission to get a ladder from the fire watch tower in the Forrest south east of Muldraugh. I was so disappointed to find it didn't actually work. I really hope they make them functional soon.
  13. +1 agree there are also some cool doors around in the game. I'd like to be able to loot them too and put them in my base.
  14. +1 agree also magazines wrapped around wrists and ankles with duct tape. (should need to use more duct tape to put back on) there should also be a risk of cutting your hands when working with sheet metal (without gloves on). never in my life have I cut my hands so frequently than working with sheet metal.
  15. if there were different transmissions (auto and manual) in the game, then you could make any manual cars undrivable. I know people who are totally 100% incapable of driving stick shift. that would be kind of cool trait and would make the game quite a bit harder also. but automatic transmission cars are so easy to drive that it would need to be a generalized 'stupid' trait to stop you driving all cars. The character with this trait should also not be able to tie shoes, cut down trees or wear hats, etc.
