  1. You get more seeds than you sow if you harvest during the right stage. I agree about the second part though.
  2. I agree with this. Maybe change it to generating additional noise while transfering items?
  3. So it's decided, we're getting Dungeons and Dragons.
  4. Have you ever tried to make a stone axe and chop down a tree with it though?
  5. I think this might be a more general problem. I remember that a few versions back, zombies could walk through a wall built directly at the top of the stairs when going upstairs.
  6. The whole TV and radio indicates us that they are bullshiting people into believing everything is fine in Knox County and that is only a small disease that can be controlled and they are taking the measures necessary to fix it. Dropping a nuke on their own soil would be like shooting the elephant in the room and then shooting yourself in the foot until you run out of ammo. Maybe it's a controlled experiment on herd mentality in savage societies! But then again, they could've just watched a video recording of Black Friday instead...
  7. Noice, i will make a taco stand. So far we know that animations are coming in, creative mode is going to be in this build 33. Also we might get new clothes i think along side backpacks showing up in the back? (that is included in the animation update), so clothing, animations, sneaking system revamp maybe? or some combat revamp? sneaking system revamp? Is there any detail on this? Here is a sneak peek video from a mondoid, It shows some of the new animations. I think that there might've been another one that shows more of the sneaking stuff, but I can't find it right now.
  8. This might just make groin bites that much more common. Im not sure how I feel about that.
  9. Damn, not available in my country. Better post the "original" next time, it's without limitations and it includes several dank captions.
  10. I'm not sure, I would say that equiping the bag in one of your hand slots simulates looking into it quite well.
  11. I'm all for this, balacing might be an issue though. Carpentry should always be the superior option-I could see these new options being what a raw axe is to a normal axe.
  12. This guy is really cool, I've watched some of his videos a while back. The problem with implementing this into the game is that a lot of the stuff couldn't be done by your "average Joe". Some of it is definitelly doable if you have at least some outdoor experience, but other things require specific knowledge. That said, we can already make axes that are capable of chopping down big trees-that's one of the few things ingame that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be capable of.
  13. Ban Teesee for his morbidly accurate description of North Korean malnutrition.
  14. Always look around for zombies before stopping or entering somewhere, make sure to line up your swings properly (try to hit with the very end of the weapon), always have an escape route and run when overwhelmed. Oh and you probably know this, but just in case-the "infected" that shows up on the health panel is just regular infection, the zombie infection can only be recognized by the fact that your fact is feeling queasy or worse. As for your question, Resilient only makes you die of the infection a bit later, you can only decrease the chance of getting bitten or scratched by taking Thick Skinned, Lucky or having a good defense skill.
  15. I haven't played "8 months after" since before the latest zombie changes and I was pleasantly surprised by the change in difficulty. I spawned in downtown West Point and I quickly learned that you can no longer run through the restaurant and then sneak into the stores, gather all the food and tools you need and then barricade up here (this used to be my standart 8 months after strategy). So my badass sneaky character (burglar, graceful, incospicuous) found a purse and got the hell outta downtown. As far as supplies go, the main problem is that I don't have a can opener. Another thing that I need are more nails (have only 5), which leads me to another thing: do I settle down or remain a nomad? I was thinking of using the nails to barricade a building, but I feel safer knowing that I can sheet rope outta tough spots. I might try to wall off the first floor of one of the more remote houses with log walls and set up a sheet rope up there. 1 day, 5 hours so far.
  16. Love that base, but doesn't living so far from any hordes make the game a bit boring? I am usually torn between wanting to experiment with hardcore outdoorsman builds and at the same time loving urban playstyle with insane zombie setting. (There's nothing like living in a house in downtown WP that has hundreds of zombies roaming the streets all around it.)
  17. The problem is that this is kind of gameplay vs realism. When going on a trip, I usually don't carry a tent and only take a sleeping bag and a sleeping pad with me. Or if I expect bad weather, I also take a very thin plastic tarp (similiar material to garbage bags) and a rope which I use to improvise a shelter. In fact, you don't even need those things I mentioned, these are all just for added comfort-and that's the problem. The game doesn't punish you enough for treating your character badly, so being able to sleep without a bed with only some very minor consequences would make beds pretty much useless.

Get a hunting knife. It can be mostly found in gun shops or in the shooting range, works exactly the same as the kitchen knife but has 10x more durability.

Well, it didn't exactly smash through. it caved in a part of the helmet and that squashed the head inside. Afaik crossbows and bows are eventually going to be implemented along with hunting.
  20. But the problem with that is that most people want some lone zombies, occasional groups and rare hordes. On top of that, all of the zombies shouldn't just go straight for your base, but rather wander around, sometimes forming bigger groups that could be attracted by sound. Don't get me wrong, it would be great finally being in danger even in your own backyard, but zombies going straight for your base in set intervals might break the immersion.

The most powerful weapon in the game is without a doubt the spade. It does almost as much damage as the axe (so it's much stronger than the bat) but hits about as fast as the poolcue and shares the bat's greater pushback. At 1.5 weight, it's also much more practical to carry around than an axe. The only downsides are its rarity and low durability, but when you know you're in trouble and need to clear a bunch of zeds fast or you're dead, the spade is your best bet. Also, the animation is pretty cool.
  22. It has been mentioned that Iron Gut is useless in singleplayer and that Weak Stomach is free points. It might be good to make them affect the happiness loss from eating food that is going stale rather than just make you more/less likely to get sick when you eat rotten food. Slow/Fast Reader could work like it does now, but in addition decrease/increase the XP multiplier. (kind of like Slow/Fast Learner, but only once you get your hands on the skill books)
  23. From my point of view, the moment you allow a zombie to attack you-punch, potentially scratch or bite, you're playing recklessly. Do you climb through a lot of broken windows? They have a chance to scratch you.
  24. Sounds great, but it should decrease the durability, atleast when using the kitchen knife.
  25. That's good to know, thanks for testing that! Anyway, mine was probably getting into the hardware store in downtown West Point with insane zombie settings on day one without clearing any of the zeds (that would have been impossible). I took all of the supplies from the hardware store and food market upstairs and barricaded the stairs with planks from doors. Since I would get immediately munched if I went down into the streets, I used skybridges (again, built out of planks that I got from breaking doors) to get into nearby buildings, loot them and barricade the upper floors. From there, I started to clear out the zombies bellow bit by bit and finally managed to block off the part of street between the food market and the town hall. I had the whole street for myself, I could finally get into the bottom floors of the stores. But one day, I used the sheet rope that lead to the parking lot, and there was a horde right bellow the window. I got munched.
