I agree with everything except lockers with digits. Robbing other people is part of post- apocalyptic world. Better solution is to hide stuff in random places (burying, under the floor, bed etc.).

If I were looting a house in zombie world I would always knock/hit on the door to be sure there are no zombies. Just like they do in the Walking Dead. It's simple and natural. +1 to this idea
