  1. Yeah I am having a major issue with this file. When I try a new game with this file, It either doesn't complete the load, or it loads the game with my character in a huge grass area that seems to stretch on forever. I found a few pockets of forest and a little bit of road, (which looked like it was missing some gif, png or jpeg file) to complete the road, and that's it? Huge map area, but no buildings nothing? I finally got so frustrated trying to find areas of this new town I just quit. I'm thinking that normally new characters are suppose to spawn in some area within the new town not in a grass area?
  2. After having a ton of problems loading this map into the game, I found that I the game couldn't load the bedford map file I downloaded and added to my mod list. Here is what the error said Sorry unexpected error occurred. Press Escape or the left mouse button to exit. The following file may contain useful information about this error. /Users/Salar/Zomboid/console.txt If someone could help me tell me exactly what I need to download and do in order to get this new map running in my game, I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you Stephen

  4. I am still having major problems setting up this bedford map file to be recognized by the game? I should state more specifically. My game registered that I had the file in my mods folder, as it was listed under mods within the game. When I chose this map though and picked a char and started a new game After initially loading for a little bit, a unexpected error came up? So I'm wondering if the bedford map file I downloaded is outdated, and needs to be replaced somewhere? I would also like to know exactly how to get the game to read this file, so I can start trying out this new map? Thanks Stephen
  5. Isn't this PZ support?

  7. I have the bedford map file now being recognized by the game. Under the mods section, but it states it's a test of some sort. Furthermore, when I used it as the map of choice to start a new game session under sandbox conditions, and set the terms I wanted, I loaded it up, and it state's it is loading the game, (starts the "this is how you died text) but then seems to stay in the loading screen forever?
  8. There weren't any lot files I could find in the file I downloaded from this mod's thread? All I have still is within the mods folder, the folder I created called, Bedford falls, then media/maps/Bedford KY folder?
  9. I couldn't find these lot files? I can't believe loading in one additional map has become so hard? I am probably doing one simple thing wrong I guess. This is starting to drive me crazy. Thanks though for all your help guys.
  10. Ok how do I unpack the .lotpack and .lotheader files into the new mod's media/maps/Bedford Falls KY folder? When I downloaded the BedfordFalls V2 map file from the mod's thread (based off the link you provide me), I opened it up and did not see these .lotpack and .lotheader files included in any of the folders from the unzipped file (which when downloaded into my mac downloaded area became media?
  11. Okay so I need to be walked through this again? There was some version update to this map? Now the spawnlocation is different? Is this correct? Question 1: Where do I specifically go to download the new version of this Bedford Falls Map file? Question 2: I then put this media folder in a new folder I created within the mods folder (titled BedfordFalls), and put it in there? Question 3: Then I should, when I start the game up see a Bedford map mod within the mods section (in the game menu area). I double click on this, and when I start a new game, the Bedford Map should come up as a map choice for me to use?
  12. So the game now recognizes I have the map file. However when I use it to start a new game. The game sits in the loading screen and never loads the map?
  13. Ok trying it out now. Finally see bedford listed as a mod? Not completely sure why this map file is a mod, but thank you for all of your help. Yes now it came up as a option. It says, this is a test though? U=BTL? Now I don't know what U=BTL stands for, but with my own limited programming knowledge right now one equals means equals in a-lot of programming languages? Rather than variable A == 500 == tests if a specific variable is equal to a specific value? Though I guess U=BTL does the same thing, tests to see if both of these terms equals another? Trying to eventually get a java job or some job related to tech in the near future, lol. I guess I still have a ways to go. Right now I'm up to learning how to handle user events.
  14. I've tried what rathlord said to do. Still no bedford map option coming up? I don't completely understand this The .lotheader and .lotpack files are from where? When I find these files, I copy them and I paste them into the Bedfordfalls/media/maps/BedfordFalls, KY folder? So another question? There is a another map now already out? Called Dreadwood? Where do I find this map if I would like to try it to? Thank you Sincerely, Stephen Crowe
  15. Ok I went to browse local files. I then saw the project zomboid app file. When I opened it though it opened up the menu game area? Am I suppose to drop the media folder in the same location then where I see the project zomboid.app file? Yeah still no bedford map coming up?
  16. Under local files tab, I see four options. Browse Local files, backup game files, delete local game content, verify integrity of game cache. Not sure one of these I'm suppose to look at in order to open the app file? The rest of what you said I think I can follow after I know what to do after looking under local files.
  17. Ok I'm trying this now. Will let you know. Thank you for your help.
  18. So I tried to delete this game and then re-install it. Something weird happened? So my computer is taking forever to delete these files from my trash. Secondly, It looks like the same files are where they were installed again, when I tried to play the game again (accept for the mods)? Thus in a way it looks like the game is still installed? Yet this doesn't make sense when I put it in the trash? I don't understand why I'm having so many problems trying to get this game to recognize one new map file, when it seems so many other people had a very easy time installing this file?
  19. Yeah I don't feel I messed with the game files. Accept there are a few mods in my game, that I did download?
  20. I think this is what I already did. Will try again. Yeah I followed these detailed steps? Do I need to reset my computer in order for this to take hold? I see in the maps folder there was also a file besides Bedford falls, listed as Muldrugh? Do I need to start a new game in Muldrugh first and then find my way to Bedford, or is Bedford suppose to appear as a completely separate map option to use?
  21. It didn't seem to work. I put the contents of what I had already unzipped from a previous bedford falls zip file into this new folder within the mods folder. When I launched PZ through the steam service, the bedford falls map option didn't show up?
  22. Ok I think I did all of this before accept make a new folder within the mods folder. Thanks I'll try this .
  23. Thank you sir, yes please help me Thank you sir, yes please help me Lol I can't get a map to work but yet I am studying java, eventually trying to get a java tech job. Just means to show that you can know a-lot about computers and still know very little.
  24. I've downloaded the bedford map file several times already. For some reason even though I believe I put this map file after I unzipped it in the correct project zomboid folder, the game still doesn't seem to know that I now have this new map? I use a mac. If someone could tell me detail by detail of exactly how your suppose to get this game to recognize that I have this new map to play with, I would greatly appreciate it. Again I do not use a pc. I use a mac from around 2010. Imac 27 inch 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024MB Operating system, OS X 10.9.3
  25. I don't see where the installation folder is within the main zomboid directory, to put this map file in?
