  1. I would like to bump this idea because I think it could be an interesting game mechanic, if it was implemented a little differently ... At the moment zombies eating corpses is rather a "first contact" thing almost like a scripted event. However they never do it again on their own, like deciding to sit against a wall. Imagine if they do would eat even dead zombie corpses. Hey the bodies are not moving anymore so they wouldn't be considered as "fellow zombies" anymore, but as the only low grade flesh source around. Better this than nothing ey? This could lead to lots of dead bodies lying around attracting even more zombies to that location by smell for a feast. Making it even more critical to remove dead bodies from your base than just sickness, but also to not lure any more Zombies to your location. This of course should be an optional setting in the zombie lore for those who want it. On the other hand this way zombies could even assist with the "garbage collection" in the game world, by stripping bodies to the bones, making the decomposing time faster "naturally". Of course this could also be done once wild animals get introduced.
  2. Seems like this issue got fixed by now, thanks
  3. At the moment there is not much use for the first aid skill. Investing into that skill as a main char is rather a waste of trait points since most of us try to avoid getting injured by zombies anyways, and you either get lucky scratched or lacerated and survive or you get bitten Z- infected ... and simply die anyways so first aid becomes pointless then. And this is where I would like to see more situations were you can get "domestic injuries" that don't seal a death sentence like a zombie bite. I know you can get cut damage from broken glass and even running through bushes can give you scratches, but I would love to see (and that may be optional in the sandbox settings) every day household injuries due to low experience in any field. -You are bad at cooking? How about you cut your finger when cutting vegetables or a dead animal, or you burn your finger when cooking / touching a hot pot. -If you are bad a carpentry, there could be a chance that you hit your own hand/finger with a hammer when building something. -Get a splinter under your skin (use tweezers) from sawing logs. -bad at tailoring? prick your finger on the needle ... and so on. It could also be countered/mitigated by wearing protective gloves/clothing. The chances for such injuries should be fairly low, like 0.1 - 5% based on your respective skill, or completely optional. Situations like these would make the first aid skill a lot more needed overall while adding to the immersion, without an immediate life or death situation from a zombie injury.
  4. V 41.34 I remember the music used to be situational some years ago. Nowadays it seems to play like a playlist. When starting the game the music is calm. When encountering zombies the music gets dramatic, BUT it never stops with the dramatic music. Its really getting annoying sitting at home reading a book in your bedroom in a secure base, with no zombie around for 3 screens and the music is hammering you as if a massive horde is approaching, but its not. If i stop the game there and reload the music is calm again, which leads to the assumption the dramatic music triggers, but never ends. Maybe the game still simulates some zombies far away and takes this as reason for the dramatic music. -tiered zombie updates is off -music selection is set to early access.
  5. Thanks, I'm glad this was already taken care of.
  6. What version number is shown in the main menu at the lower right corner? I'm in no beta and mine says 38.22, which is the version mentioned here.
  7. To give an example Player char almost disappears behind the building SURPRISE! >_<
  8. I'm having a huge issue with that. That approach for removal is way too short! I am constantly running blindly around corners, because the higher level is being removed too late (when the player character touches the outline of the building). It wouldn't be a problem if it would get removed earlier in the event when there are zombies present, as stated. But I just had 3 zombies 5 meters away from me and still hidden by the second floor and I was almost running into them. This is terrible, I don't care to see the roof tops that much, the roof needs to be removed from farther away as it used to be, not when I pass the outline of the upper floor.
  9. I like your mod, but passing out happens way too fast since it can happen within one day. It should only happen if you haven't slept for 2 or more days. Waking up at 6am and passing out at 10 pm the same day is a bit harsh imho. I just had such great shotgun run with 20+ zombies in front of me, when the lights went out. -__-
