I can understand the devs won't tackle such a thing, but i also think it's pretty sad they literally can't do it without consequences for them.

I feel like games were allowed to do more and more authentic things back in the days.

Fallout 1 for example allowed you to kill a child. The game wouldn't just make it impossible but it instead reacted to your evil doing by giving you the trait "childkiller" which meant also that many of the Npcs would now despise you.

On the other hand Fallout 1 was strictly 18+ if i remember correct.

*Thanks to a generous offer of time and assistance from fellow forum-goer, LaDestitute, the last of the bugs have been worked out of this mod and I can now release it!*

    Rain Parka Mod

Rain Parka Mod spawns custom rain parkas across the game world in all the available colors shirts can spawn as.  The parkas *are wearable* and will replace your current vest, blouse, or sweater when worn.  You will reach wetness level "Damp" when wearing a parka (they don't cover your whole body) but should not progress any past that as long as they are equipped to your torso slot.

Thanks again to Suomiboi for letting me use his script as a basis for this mod!

    Download:

*Updated to v1.1: Cleaned the code a bit and increased rarity for balance*

Of course, survival goes first and before you die of hunger you will gladly eat dog food. (I heard food tastes alot better after 1 week of hunger.)

This would be more focused on your characters happiness.

Yeah, I think its good idea, but I think in zombie apocalypse you will eat what you find.

Hah. Don't know if the tiger thing is realistic but i can imagine it would be awesome. Some of the older guys here might know the situation you described from another game.

Here a picture of Eric being happy that the mysterious sinkhole has disappeared. (He doesn't look too happy, but his last couple months have been hell )

    Hi there,

I wondered if it wouldn't make sense to make panic somehow influenced by the weapons you carry. I read things like that in books very often. Something like: "blah blah ... he felt reassured feeling the weight of his weapon" or "he tightend the grip around his weapon and already felt a bit safer"

I can relate to that feeling from playing horror games too. In some horror games like resident evil you have weapons and you are able to defend yourself which makes those sort of games much more bearable unlike other games like Amnesia or Slenderman, where you are scared by your utter helplessness.

Don't know what you guys think about my "wild" theory. But i think it would make sense in a lot of situations. For example a unarmed man facing a zombie might break down really fast, while a man armed with a pistol might do better, maybe finding solace in the fact that he can put down a lot of these things before they kill them and maybe even in the fact that if all else fails he could just put a round through his own brain.  "Sorry boys, I'm taking the easy way out" *Blam*

    Place/Landmark: Zoo
Where: Edge of town? Probably not in the center but not out in the middle of nowhere either
Reason it'd rock: Narrow paths, lots of tight buildings, and perhaps even escaped animals! Imagine fighting off a horde and then suddenly a tiger pops up!
Zombie Density Expected: High...seems like it would be a good place for disease transmission

You should be able to set up a local server via a VPN Tunnle (like hamachi)

Didn't try this ever but there is a pretty big guide on how to make it work on steampowered.

Using a VPN Tunnle will also mean you won't have to forward any ports since the software already takes care of this and emulates a LAN.

Theres actually a solution, just tried it here and seems to work. Firstly back up your world just to be sure tho.

    Process:

    # 1, goto blindcoders online map: http://pzmap.crash-override.net

    # 2, find the location of the chunks that are corrupted.
Use the "lock coordinates" button in the left menu, and click on spot of corrupted chunks.
This will result in some coordinate info like this:

Take the coords, divide by 10 and round them down, so this example would be 1087 and 1008.

    # 3,
Go to your C:\Users\<username>\Zomboid\Sandbox\26-06-2014_02-29-18\ world save (in my case it was a sandbox, you probable have survival world)
Locate the files with numbers matching the coordinates, and delete them:

This should provide completly fresh chunks when you load your game that are no longer corrupted hope its helpfull

    Regards,
    Turbo.

My savegames are quiet precious to me.
But I feel like regulary backing up my saves would also destroy alot of the great game feeling. I think if i would start "quicksaving" like that I couldn't stop it anymore.

    Hi guys,

started my mapping carreer yesterday and I really have to say im delightened about how smooth the tools are working. I worked with the Fonline 2238 engine (Fallout 2 engine) which was horrible in every way and i made some private maps for Shadowrun, which was at least a bit better. But the PZ map editor really is a class of its own. The ability to make maps from BMPs, thats just genius. The other isometric editors i worked with demanded every tile to be set separately. You had to work for hours just to make all the floors right.

Also i really want to thank Thuztor for his amazing tutorial. I'm on page 22/42 now and I have to say im really making progress here.
    (Meinen allergrößten Dank )

But now for some questions i have:

1.) Is there a problem using MS Paint for painting the BMP files ? I get alot of wrong color warnings when I use BMP to TMX.
2.) Probably related to issue 1. But after you finished BMP to TMX, the image in the tutorial looks different to mine. In your one there are already trees and high grass visible. While mine kinda looks like the two BMP files just laying over another.

    Thank you guys in advance.
