Sangennaru got a reaction from TurtleShroom in Another Sprites Thread
Eh! At the moment i got discouraged by the fact that my sprites might be useless as long as Devs don't implement a modding system in the game...
I will concentrate more on the japanese city, with or without those poles!

And here it is! Cabled!
Unfortunately it implies a lack of modularity... but in my opinion it totally worth it!

Sangennaru got a reaction from Kirrus in Where do I post sprites? Maybe here?
Doublebrain, inspired by your work i started myself with some 3d. As you said, it's quite hard to make it looks as a drawn sprite, but i think that with a little photoshop post-production i made something ok. In the pic there's a vase and a Evangelion poster. As i said in the other thread, i'd like to do some experiments with a japanese town.
i'll try with some more complex objects. However, if i find the ultimate method i might take 20 minutes to make something like the humvee, from the beginning to the end. =)
EDIT: Some manga shelves for every good Otaku teenager:
Cheers again,
Jack

Ok, i got it!
However, i was thinking at something different (not that much, actually):
ok, how do you like it? =)

Sorry for de double-posting. I managed to put the pilons in a png tile sheet!
And that's how they look in the Building Ed.
Unfortunately, due to the problems explained above, i can't try my sprites! =(

Ok, i need experts' opinions
the base area is 13 x 2.
On the base level (0) only three squares are occupied, in the upper level (1) there will be a lot of cables, and they will disappear when the player approaches them. The cables will be drawn in photoshop after the rendering.
Is it reasonable or is it too crazy?

Hello everyone!
inspired by Doublebrain i started to do some sprite work as well, starting from 3ds i speed sculpted.
I did some experiment to upload them on my buildings, but for the moment i'm just doing them and waiting for the (hopefully) upcoming update... otherwise it will be nice to have them for my games nonetheless!
I'll put here some images, but still i don't have figured out the best way to create the larger file... probably i'll need to write a small program in c++ if there's no another one!
impressions? they look pretty well near to the official ones, but some parts can be worked to have less antialiasing, maybe! The function "Posterize" from Photoshop might do the work!

I would love to help, but I'm a bit busy with the map project we're doing so I can't really split any time for that kind of stuff, sorry. Maybe if I get bored and have some creative time, I'll take a crack at those powerlines, but I can't really promise anything.

Perfectly understandable, and your map is super-cool!
I might think to learn how to render multiple-tiled objects...is it possible to make 2 levels and multiple tiles together?
