I have the same damn question. I've looked everywhere and it seems the information is no where to be found.

I rented a server from GameServers for a month. Finally got it going. But I'm not sure how to login as an admin and use my powers. I know usually, if you hosted your own server, you'd just fire up the admin file and login. But how do I access this on a rented server? I'm really new to FTP and all that jazz. Thanks for any info.

So I rented a 8-slot server from GameServers and I've been having issues the whole time. After I finally managed to get the server running, I tried joining while my buddy was playing and I could not connect. We discovered that only one person could join the server at a time, apparently. The rest of us got this weird TCP message about a port we weren't even trying to connect to. Has anyone had this or have any ideas how I can fix this...? Otherwise, I guess I'm just gonna ask for a refund from GameServers.com. Thanks for any help or feedback!

Ahh, I see. It's good to know it's being considered and worked on though. I would gladly offer my time to help admin, but I've got a lot of stuff going on IRL that I just don't have time for moderator duties (which is one of the reasons I haven't applied to be staff for DayZRP). However, if there are small things that you need that aren't time-consuming--like spawning in zombies--I would gladly offer my help. I've been a game-master for other gaming communities in the past, so I know how to deal with people (including trolls). Anyway, I know it's hard to trust someone you don't know, but if you feel like taking a chance, let me know.

Feel free to join up! Just type in the server details and go to the forums. Read the Rules, Introduce yourself. I totally did. Ran around with Jessica and Omar a bit. Was fun! I'll probably be hopping back on... So far, I love the people I've come across. It's a fun experience. But I've only come across like 3 zombies, and hardly ANY loot and I've gone far and wide. I understand that it's an apocalypse, and loot is going to be rare, just as it would IRL. But it kinda makes it... dull to run around and find nothing, because everyone just hoards everything they find---and you're not allowed to take any. xD

Ooh, so like, I play on the DayZRP whitelisted servers, and I have a character named Amy Strange who was a former psychiatric patient at a place called Seagate Psychiatrics. Anyway, long story short, they did experiments on patients using inventive drugs, and the pharmaceutical company that helped concoct these drugs was called New Dawn. So this server immediately caught my eye. If you guys are still up, I would love to join!

Okay, I've gotten a server up and running for me and a friend, but no matter what I do to the server settings, it still seems our world is OVERWHELMED with zombies. It's impossible to go anywhere and loot or do anything. I tried this: And I click save, and it seems to save, but when I start up the server and play, nothing has changed whatsoever. I've tried on a server that hasn't been reset. I've tried on a server I've JUST reset. What the hell am I doing wrong? I've seen videos on youtube where people play together and they don't have nearly as many zombies as I do. :T
