  1. No hope indeed. I am only making about 3 or 4 days before I get scratched or hurt enough that I become a zombie a day later.
  2. True, I have had a couple turn into crawlers and lunge, just bad luck on that. Luckily I haven't been killed from one. I play insane all the time, but I only survive for days, most times for hours before a swarm gets me and I get trapped. Stay away from the trees, they pop out all the freaking time. Stay with a quiet weapon, the noise of gun fire on insane means death. Get that Sneak, Nimble and Sprinting up fast. Carry a back up weapon all the time. And remember there's always, ALWAYS a zombie behind you.
  3. Fertilize with NPK Fertilizer when they are Sickly, just dig them up when they are Stunted, they aren't going to grow anymore.

  5. I always handle crawlers by approaching from the feet side if they are on their stomach or approaching their head if they are on their backs. It's the best way to kill them in one good splat, but on insane, you might not have the chance to move around to their best killing angle, so I would just back away altogether. Especially if you are doing some herding while taking on multiple zeds.
  6. I remember seeing this game a couple years ago, but felt it was still very alpha stage so I decided to wait. Once I saw it on Steam, I knew I had to try it and I am totally hooked on it.
  7. This is what most colonists were doing back in a day, that's why most cities are located around river area, so I don't really see why it would be game breaking. I mean you are still able to live away from the water and survive, either going house by house with pots and gathering two-use water supply from them, or having a rain collector thingys, which won't change. My english teacher would have a fit, doing a double "not". I meant to say without it, is not a game breaker. Adding it would be fine by me.
  8. It would be nice to see it added because it would be exactly something I would do in an apocalypse. It's not a game breaker not having it though.

For the insane number of zombies, well my best advice: get out of the city and dont come back to it Once You find an axe, you cant care less about zombies. Being able to take on 15 zombies at once without much trouble due to insane damage and aoe axe has makes this game really easy, id wish there was something to make zombies more difficult, without turning on sprinters as this setting feels crap. Put the loot on rare... you will be hard pressed to find an axe. Try insane with a kitchen knife and a pen as your backup weapon.
  10. and the need for fuel which is rare even with loot set to abundant Ya I agree with that, you would think with all the cars and gas stations it wouldn't be rare but you need the two cycle engine oil and gas mix to run a chainsaw.
  11. There's always a "the" weapon in games. Guns are too loud to use all the time because they attract zeds. Kitchen knives and such allow the zed too close and you could get bit even though you dispatch them. Golf club is the worst, it literally has one sweet spot on where the zed is compared to you, and if you miss you have to back up and try to find that spot again. In my book, the baseball bat is king for this game. Medium range so zeds can't get close enough to bite, enough power to knock them down or away in case you need to run, and another couple whacks while they are down, then it's next please.
  12. I see a few people listed it but I want Chainsaws. Why? Just about any house in America has one in the shed or garage, it should be almost as abundant as the baseball bat. Of course the drawback of having the ability to chew up zeds is the noise it would make and of course attract more zeds.
  13. I think it's nice to know that you can choose a quiet way to off yourself versus waiting for zombification or playing crowd surfing with a zed horde. Hopefully one day you can even do more nasty things...
  14. Last Stand... it's the only way to go.
