  1. I figured this one might be worthy of "accurately summing up Daily PZ Life". Story behind it: I was minding my own business in my safehouse eating the last of my perishables when I heard a rogue wondering zombie banging on the window. O.k no problem, its only one zombie after all! Little did I know that the zombie would successfully break the window, thus creating a large smash and drawing in zombies from the surrounding area. Next thing I know the undead are flooding through the main entrance to my house while the rear exit is hastily becoming habited by disturbed and angry zombies, denying my immediate escape. I had only two options: Hide in my bedroom and hope they get drawn away, or fight and risk my life but with the possibility of saving my house. With UI: Without UI: UPDATE: DAMN MY MISERABLE LIFE ! Literally after I just posted these I heard a helicopter overhead. It turns out the battle was not to be won today.
  2. I'm sure this has been pointed out already but..... Is there any plans to fix being able to see if a door/window can be opened by right-clicking on it from distance and looking for the option "open". I don't do it myself but I am watching Mathas play and it is horrible to see him almost exploiting the mechanic rather than actually trying the door/window. Ruins that atmosphere a lot if you can tell if it can be opened without even trying. Example: http://youtu.be/XIaN_TQ1Qew?t=8m Moved from the Upcoming thread. As stated in the OP please do not post current bugs in the upcoming threads. - RoboMat
  3. Jut to confirm, upon loading my game (from this version) I also have the problem where everything is turned back - with the exception of blood. I can send you the save file if desired.
  4. Medicine have multiple doses. Click on the small triangle to the left of the item's name and you will see the medicine's amount going down on each use. No, there is no cure, and there will never be. If you want that, there's always modding. Ah right. That would explain it. Thank you very much. I would rather the game be a hard challenge so I don't really want a vaccine, I was just curious. I would have checked the wiki but it is pretty out of date.
  5. Question: Do drugs not work in the current build or are they not finished yet? I just had a game living in the medical centre assuming it would be good because of the stock of health supplies, yet after getting raided by zombies I realised no drugs in the medical centre actually seem to work. Sleeping tablets, beta-blockers etc. You simply cannot take them, they just stay in your inventory when you "use" them. Also, I assume there is no cure/vaccine?
  6. I did have yes. I just did a full reinstall of PZ followed by a wipe of all Java files and then reinstalled both. The game now works. I think some of the old files of previous Java versions may have caused a conflict or such. So make sure you completely remove all of your old java version files.
  7. Just to confirm I am also having a problem with the 64bit. I don't have the extra option in the games list (which I guess is normal), however the game itself will simply not launch through steam. The black bios text/info box pops up and then it quickly loads some things and disappears without launching the game. Edit: The game will also not launch outside of Steam (from Steam folder), my Java is up to date.
  8. Small problem: As stated above, when you now hover over traits it no longer gives you a description. Larger problem: When playing in 64bit, upon starting a new game if I try and scroll through the new survival guide the game crashes. If I instantly close the guide and run around I can play however the game seems to be struggling / having a large FPS loss. Oddly the houses and walls flicker too, sometimes going invisible for a quick second. (I do like the look and concept of the guide though )
  9. Really enjoying this build, crawling zombies have made the game so much more interesting. Wondering zombies gave the game a great feel that they are no longer just chilling in spot and you have something to be worried about. NPC > Map Development > Multiplayer Once these are done, I would say you have yourself an astounding game. Great work so far guys. Keep up the fantastic work.
  10. Can I just add that this is an amazing addition to the gameplay. Thanks a lot for this, makes the game feel a LOT more dynamic. Hopefully if you get chance you can work on a few more things like this. It would be really nice if zombies became active at night or after a prolonged period of ingame time to make you more fearful. I would also like to see the random chance (small chance) for a running zombie after playing for a long time to increase difficulty end game.
