Why does split screen not work? for iwbums.

Why does the split screen not work I went to the website and got the code typed it in and then I launched it it was build 30 I had all the new world options and everything but why does the split screen not work? I tapped A on my xbox controller (with windows router by the way) in character creation and nothing happened So I went to turn on the controller options so I turned all of them on and still nothing,what do I do? please I was really looking forward to this.

For splitscreen you need to be in the game already (so you can see your player in the game).

Then press the A button and it will let you create a new coop player.

You can't create a coop player until you are in the game.  It doesn't work from the menu before you have started a game.

Did you activate the controller in Options, by scrolling down to the controller section and selecting it there. Be sure to press save.

Is it a wireless controller and is it a genuine XBox 360 controller?

Yes I turned all of the controller options on and clicked save and I can control a character in game And yes I got my xbox controller from  bestbuy and thats what it was.

Hopefully I haven't read this wrong, but is this solved? Are you able to play splitscreen?
