Black screen on teleport

Hey guys, almost every time I go to teleport to a player I get caught in a black screen. Makes it very difficult to perform tasks as admin.

 

Looking at the console it just shows the map files being downloaded over and over again. It completes, then repeats the download endlessly without showing the map.

 

This is what keeps repeating in the console:

Hey guys, just an update.

 

While it was working mostly on my computer with the graphics update, and was working fine on my other (crappy) computer @ work, it's now completely not working after the 34.28 update (tested on vanilla server). Just total black screens.

 

The only difference I can see here is that there is no console output requesting map files or anything.

 

And I'm also now getting black chunks that just won't load at all when just walking around regularly.

Ok so now with the new update, 34.27, it's happening 100% of the time, now i'm unable to teleport to a player without having to quit the entire game, and rejoin the server to appear at the desired destination.

 

I should note that this is occuring on all our admins computers, and also two different systems of my own.

 

Any idea of a workaround? It's becoming painful to administrate the server.

K, mostly stable these days, but did just get the following on teleport.

 

Error with packet of type: 20

On the server side I get:

 

[FILE] announcing file
[FILE] Sending done
[FILE] announcing file
[FILE] Sending done
[FILE] announcing file
[FILE] Sending done

 

Setting the UseTCPForMapDownloads=true teleporting works 100% of the time.

 

Unfortunately the black parts of the map come back, and running anywhere is stop start for players with a medium sprint level.

 

@Enigma, no it has been happening ever since the 34 update, which we ran vanilla for about a week and there was no change after Jab's software was reintroduced. Yes it's whenever I'm trying to go to a destination point, either through teleporting to a player through the menu or a command, or teleporting my character through the admin fixed teleport points. It does seem to occur sometimes when I teleport a player to me too, but again, it's not always, it's just most of the time.

Thanks for the quick response.

 

Sometimes it'll just load one part as and then hang doing the same file download thing, have attached an image. It's always that exact square that loads when this occurs too. (It doesn't always load the one square however). Sometimes if I leave it for a long time it'll eventually load.

 

Also when going to exit the game via the menu when this is occurring the game requires a force quit, unfortunately no exceptions in the console, just total freeze.
