  1. The controls say that Y and T are for global and local chat, but when I press the buttons the chat boxes do not appear. I'm trying another server to see if that fixes the problem. Local chat works but global doesn't. I'm thinking that different servers have global or local chat activated or not? Anyways, thank you for your help!
  2. How do I open and use the chat box in multiplayer? Thank you for the help!
  3. But the zombies could just break the door open? And how did the former owners get the zombies in there without being bitten or scratched?
  4. Yet I haven't play it yet. LOL. Please update it so it works for Steam?
  5. Hahahaha! That wouldn't surprise me. Those zombies would do anything to get into a bathroom, apparently. But then the zombies would attack each other if they could mistake their own reflection with a survivor. For whatever reason, hordes of zombies end up trapped in a bathroom; somehow. Maybe they crawled up through the toilet?
  6. Waffles are better because the squares trap maple syrup. Then again, you can stack pancakes up to the ceiling and nobody would care, but if you eat more then two waffles at a time everyone stares at you funny.
  7. This is the best mod ever! (So far!) Its so fun and challenging!
  8. Well, I didn't think of that. That makes perfect sense. And as for the packs of zombies in the same bathroom . . . maybe they just had one hell of a party? Its not a real party until somebody dies, after all. That still doesn't explain why so many zombies are in the closet though . . . Well, most of us pee in the shower anyways. It all goes to the same place, doesn't it? LOL XD
  9. What is it about the oh so majestic bathroom that attracts zombies near and far? Why do zombies love bathrooms so much? When victims are bitten, is their first instinct to go into the bathroom and die there? Or do the infected go into the bathrooms after they die? Many a time I've died because of a zombie lingering quietly in a bathroom. Perhaps those zombies are more intelligent then we think, waiting around for an unsuspecting victim. Or perhaps they just forgot how to open the door. Why bathrooms? Why in the world do zombies love bathrooms so much? I'm so scared to go near the bathroom when clearing a house out. How can I sleep without checking all of the rooms? Will a zombie come bite me in my sleep? Oh, and apparently zombies are in the closet too. Come out of the closet, zombie!
  10. YES! THE GAME IS RUNNING! EnigmaGrey Thank you SOO much for all of your help! I can not thank you enough. I finally got the game to run! THANK. YOU. Unfortunetly, it does run slowly, but lets see how far I can get. I can always play it another computer, which is comforting to know. I just want to know; will I have to repeat these steps when I try the game on a better computer? I'll have to save this thread in word. Thank you very much for your patience. Thank you too, Dichotomy You were a big help!
  11. I'm happy for you. Now if only I could get mine working. Thank you very much for your help.
  12. I've figured out that when I highlight the text, I can read it properly. So, I've removed the -server, and completed all of the steps that you told me. I just went through the steps again to make sure I didn't do something wrong. I didn't. One thing that was missing from your steps is to tell me if I should either replace the original .bat or make a new one. I clicked replace, and then I double clicked on the bat file. Here is what came up: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\ProjectZomboid>set path=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin;\Java\jre7\bin; C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\ProjectZomboid>"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java" -noverify -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:+DoEscapeAnalysis -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:+TieredCompilation -XX:Tier2CompileThreshold=70000 -XX:CompileThreshold=1500 -Xms768m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=3 -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Dsun.awt.noerasebackground=true -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -Dsun.java2d.opengl=false -Dsun.java2d.pmoffscreen=false -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Djava.library.path=./ -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Dsun.awt.noerasebackground=true -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -Xms768m -Xmx768m -Dsun.java2d.opengl=false -Dsun.java2d.pmoffscreen=false -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Djava.security.policy=applet.policy -cp lwjgl.jar;lwjgl_util.jar;./ zombie.gameStates.MainScreenStateUnrecognized VM option 'DoEscapeAnalysis'Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\ProjectZomboid>PAUSEPress any key to continue . . .
  13. There's a problem. When I click Edit on the .bat, it opens in Notepad. The issue is that the majority of the text is layered on top of each other, and I can't make anything out of it. What do I do? I don't want to break it.
  14. I understand that, I just don't know how to do it. I didn't realize that this computer is so out of date. Well, it doesn't belong to me, and I have opportunities to try and play the game on a better computer. I just need to know; I just bought the game, and its on my Steam account. Can I install the game on a different computer? Regardless; I would really love to try and get the game to work, just to see how smoothly it will run. It may be playable. Please help. Thank you very much for your patience.
