chop and bury corpses

Corpse removal mod, right click a corpse while axe or shovel is equiped to delete the corpse and get a chance at a loot item.....

unzip it and place the file inside CorpseFun, also named CorpseFun , into the c:users/your name/zomboid/mods folder

start the game, goto mods and select it and then start your game.

 

while you have a axe or shovel equiped it will allow you to bury corpses or chop them up ( body peices coming soon).

you can bury in grass and dirt and chop anywhere. works in multiplayer and single player.

 

every corpse you chop/bury has a chance at dropping a loot item, there is 5 lvls of loot items it chooses from ...

so it randomly picks if it drops loot, randomly picks a loot list lvl, then randomly picks a loot item from that list. and i think there is like a total of 385 items between the 5 loot lvl lists so far.

 

will add burning corpses as soon as i can.

it used to leave a dirt tile but since its concept is to clean up a server when i made it i removed that , blood stays  it dosnt add any more blood tho.

as it is its a way for server hosters to let there players clean up corpses and possibly gain some loot doing it, still alot to add but the way it is now works good.

It does sound like a great way to get ride of them. Iv used other clean up corpse mods that i think just made the tile they were on not show them. With the zombies being able to be carried and also targeted probably makes it heaps easier for this mod. Great job on this btw!

its actually pretty old i did it on build 26 for my server, but it removes the corpse from the game completely, its not just hidden and it works in build 27. its a more fun way to remove corpses then the one in my Admin Tools too. its bury corpse side is basicly complete, might extend the dialogs, and change the effects but othere then that its good. the chop corpse side is far from finished, its end result will give body parts after you chop a corpse up, these parts can be butchered into meats, to cook and eat with negative side effects, or more for poisoning players if you choose (for the weirdo PVPers lol). its also got a few professions to be added but i havnt got to that yet, a cannibal who can eat the meat and sustain no major negative effects is one.

 

burning a corpse should be simple to add, player has gas and a lighter and he can set a corpse on fire, issue may be keeping that fire from spreading. would have to leave behind something tho, maybe bones. ill mess with this tonight, gotta catch up on a few other things too.

 

i was gunna do a clean up blood part also but there is already atleast one out now.

so it randomly picks if it drops loot, randomly picks a loot list lvl, then randomly picks a loot item from that list. and i think there is like a total of 385 items between the 5 loot lvl lists.

Does the luck trait affect the chances for higher level items? Are the level 5 items axes and other weapons?

luck dosnt effect it...yet

 

i miss spoke i havnt finished the full list currently it has 4 lvls, lol my bad.

 

4th lvl loot list ...

	        "Base.FishingRod",         	"Base.Pistol",        	"Base.BulletsBox",		"Base.ShotgunShellsBox",		"Base.Shotgun",		"Base.ShotgunSawnoff",

the 5 lvl loot list isnt finished, i forgot i was waiting to build 27 to put it in. so itll be in when i add burning zombies

its less then the chance of getting a worm digging

and each loot lvl list has less chance of being picked then the lvl before it

the lvl 4 list will be the lvl 5 list when i add in the new build 27 items and get it evened out

Makes since, well i will try this one out when i get time to actually game some more.  :)

If I may make a suggestion, remove the durability loss on the shovel. Unlike axes, shovels can not currently be repaired, and have a very low drop rate. The drop rate from the corpses, that they can only be burried on flat grass and dirt in addition to the time it takes to bury them is already a significant penalty for utilizing this method. The loss of a shovel after 3-5 corpses with potentially no return seems excessive.

 

As an aside, is there a way you could enable burying corpses in grass and long grass? Currently only flat, empty ground works. I assume this is not intended behavior.

 

Other than that, I am very much enjoying this mod. It is discrete and useful (with durability loss disabled).

it works on tall garss short grass dirt and everything but in doors and on roads as far as i know unless one of the hotfixes changed the tile names. removing shovel durability was already planned. ill look into why its not working right tonight.
